Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Needed a stopover and this park sure fit the bill! Set on the Colorado River, with some sites backing up to grass along the river, with a boat launch within the park. We had a pull through site that was plenty long, all the services worked well, including cable (had a specific remote from the office) and internet. Another popular place for snowbirds in the winter, but plenty of sites in the summer . . . of course! Secure - behind a gate. Very friendly welcome and efficient checkin. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It was summer, so literally drove right in, efficient check in and pulled right into our nice, long, level, pullthrough - all the sites are pullthrough. Understand this is a very popular snowbird destimation, so reservations would be essential. Set among orange trees (not ripe yet ... darn!). Propane right at the entrance. Made a perfect place for a stop. Internet and Cable great. Utilities all worked well. Very clean and nice. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Redwood Meadows RV Resort (formerly Hiouchi RV Resort), Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Older park but nice setting just east of Crescent City. Back in sites are long and easy to maneuver. Pull throughs are "banana" parallel parking type, and depending on size of rig, may require unhooking either the tow vehicle or the one being towed. It can be a little tricky maneuvering due to the concrete barriers that are placed by the utilities. Utilities are generally OK; cable TV is good; Internet good when it works. Sites have a fire pit and a picnic table, along with a small concrete patio. Laundry is old but generally clean, and inexpensive with efficient gas dryers. Walking distance to convenience store/gas station, and a restaurant across the highway. Location is great for touring the redwood parks, and after seeing the other RV parks in Crescent City, this one is the nicest. We camped at Redwood Meadows RV Resort (formerly Hiouchi RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If in a pull through, may have to disconnect tow vehicle or toad depending on size of rig due to the parallel parking style sites. The highway can be noisy so sites further from road may help with that.

Elwha Dam RV Park, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice place to stay with extremely friendly people!!! Some excellent long level pull throughs; back-ins that can be a little close and maybe tight, nice grassy tent sites. CLEAN showers and laundry room!!!!! No cable and couldn't get a station on the antenna, but there was a rather large free DVD movie library! Free WIFI was available but not always reliable but Verizon phone signal OK. A few miles west of Port Angeles but easy access in to town. Would definitely stay here again!!!! We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground, Nanaimo, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for a park on the oceansize. Some of the sites are treed/shady/dark and others are a little more open with views. Very friendly service and efficient checkin. Cable box for TV is extra ($1 per day) and there is a charge for internet at your site, but free at the clubhouse. Nice laundry facilities. This is a popular campground and rigs are coming and going frequently, particularly on weekends. Kid friendly. Dog friendly. Sites are gravel and are quite level, and wide. Easy to park RV and extra vehicles. We camped at Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Victoria RV Park & Campground, Victoria, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly easy to get to off Canada #1; about 8 km to downtown Victoria. Lots of sites, the majority are backins, and easy to navigate the roads. There are a small number of pull-throughs so be sure to request. Awesome friendly welcome; cable box available for TV, free wifi which is reliable. Clean and well maintained. It also has storage for RV's and a dump station. Some long time residents but everything is nice. Bus stop is a short 10-minute walk, and a 20-min. ride to downtown. We camped at Fort Victoria RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here numerous times, and still a good choice for a short stay passing through. Sites are very close to each other . . .not much room for any "patio" space. Good utilities. Lousy cable, wouldn't even bother trying. Internet not at all reliable at the sites. Very friendly checkin and service folks. Nice short distance to Sam's Town with shopping across the street. A bit of city noise, but that's the Boulder Highway. Nice expanded dog park area, but is starting to look pretty ragged . . . and folks still don't clean up very well. Overall still a good choice for overnight or short stays. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town in a Motorhome.

Hi Valley RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park. Clean, well kept, friendly folks, efficient checkin. Pull throughs are a little narrow most with a grassy strip, but easy to maneuver through. Nice pool and hot tub and fenced grassy dog run complete with shade tree. Wifi worked fine, and cable was fine . . . ALL GOOD! Winco grocery store and other stores just a short drive away, and easy access to all Eagle, Boise and Meridian have to offer. We camped at Hi Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean; paves; spacious sites; good utilities; good cable TV; spotty WiFi but free when it worked. Very dog friendly with a fenced, grassy off-leash area - complete with doggie bags and trash receptacle - Nice! Courtesy shuttle to nearby, walkable casino, and for other businesses in town. Excellence value for the facilities. There is also a dry camping area next to it. There is some road noise from Highway 101, but can't complain! Bullards Beach State Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Oregon does a great job with their State Parks! No WIFI or Cable TV, but who cares! Nice site in the B loop with screening from neighbors, but not their noise. It is a family friendly campground so there are kids on bikes and skate boards and lots of dogs. Very quiet at night and off the highway so no road noise. Hookups worked great; programs were being held at the amphitheater, and close to the Coquille River Lighthouse / beaches. Be careful in reserving just the right spot; angle of the driveway, and narrow 1-way roads . . . can be tougher to maneuver larger rigs, and there were some big ones in there! We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Truck Camper.

Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park, Redmond, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and fairly new park with concrete pads and full hookups. Easy access from highway and easy to pull in and out with wide lanes and well marked directions and crosswalks. Some pull throughs; some back-ins. The cons were that there was no cable TV, and the wi-fi was temporarily unavailable. Very friendly welcome and introduction to the park. Dog friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Snake River RV Park & Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly reception. Older park with side by side pull through sites, back-ins with some of them water and electric only, very tight for larger rigs. Gravel sites. Clean; green with lots of trees - also a challenge for larger rigs to maneuver and get satellite. No cable, but good air reception. All you can eat pancake breakfast for $3. Free WIFI that was fast and reliable for our visit. Overall the park could use some updating, and price seems high but overall a good place to stay. Awesome location with a brewery and restaurant, and Aquarium within walking distance. Long fairly level pull through sites with some back-ins and some "pull ins" designed for motor homes; plenty of room and sites are paved. Good utilities; Good cable; No problem getting satellite. Perfect location for parking a boat at the marina with the boat launch next door. Excellent service checking in; and a very knowledgeable host. With a coupon from the reception, can ride the bus anywhere in town for free; otherwise costs $1! Highly recommend and we will stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
