Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight. We got their longest pull through site and there was plenty of room for the RV and the toad. The electricity is at the back but our power cord was able to reach it. The park is each access from the highway and the roads were easy to navigate. The folks at the front desk were very nice. The wifi worked well and there were plenty of places to walk the dog. This is a great stop for one night or if you want to see the sights. You get a discount if you visit the meteor crater. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access RV Park from I-40 across the highway from Camping World. Very nice desk folks. Easy access to the sites. We had a long pull though. The interior roads are asphalt and the sites are gravel. They have a number of dog runs. Good wifi. Convenient to Albuquerque. Reasonable prices. This is our second time at this park and we would come again. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.

NRA Whittington Center Campground, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite RV parks. Long pull though sites with lots of space in between. Beautiful views. Deer, antelope and turkey have come through the sites. You can see lots of stars at night. There is now good internet throughout the park. We stayed at the East campground. The sites are 30 amp. The East campground has the restrooms, showers and laundry. the West campground is primarily 50 amp and does not have the restrooms, showers or laundry. You do not have to be an NRA member to go to the park. You can just go there and enjoy the beauty, but if you are interested in any of the shooting sports, the ranges are amazing. We camped at NRA Whittington Center Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Junction KOA, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming to this KOA once per year. It has remained a very nice RV park. We get a pull through site and are able to keep the toad hooked up. The fairgrounds next door are a great place to walk the dog. There is a back gate where you can go walking/running. It has east access. The internet works well most of the time although it can get bogged down at night. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Getting into some sites takes some care because of trees at the end but it is doable. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Iron Springs Resort RV Park, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very new RV Park about 12 miles west of Cedar City. It is pretty remote with not much around it. You check in at the hotel office across the street from the RV park. There were no park maps when you checked in and there were no signs at the end of the rows, so you had to read the site numbers on the electrical stands. The people at the check in were very nice. The sites are all pull through but there is a bulge at each end where they planed a tree so it was hard to avoid pulling over part of the raised ground. The pull throughs are long enough to stay hooked up. There are lots of dirt roads all around so it is a good area for exploring with a Jeep, and walking you and the dog. The wifi was good. There were no amenities such as showers, rest rooms, pool, etc. he roads are dirt and gravel. We thought it was expensive for what you got. We camped at Iron Springs Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunnyside Acres MHC & RV Park, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

There are two rows of RV sites in a large community of manufactured homes. A number of the RV sites are taken by long term residents. The sites are very tight. We barely made it in with the car in tow. The grounds are very neat and clean but there are a number of units that are not well cared for. The people were very nice. Restrooms and showers are available but there are no other amenities. It is in a good location for seeing Idaho Falls. There are plenty of places to walk the dog and there is a bike trail along the road out front. We camped at Sunnyside Acres MHC & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Century Mobile Home and RV Park, West Haven, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay and our second stay at this park. They have pull throughs just as you come in that are excellent for a quick stop. Even though the park is just off the highway, the noise is minimal. They have a nice fenced dog park. The pool and hot tub are nice. The wifi works. We camped at Century Mobile Home and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fossil Valley RV Park, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there for a week for a rally for a local RV group. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is a very nice park in the middle of town. There is shade but there are satellite friendly sites. A little tight for big rigs but no problem getting in and out. Lots of pull through sites. Everything worked well. The owner was very helpful in telling us about places to go and providing details. We had a great rally there. We camped at Fossil Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a lot to do in the Vernal area. Dinosaur National Park, the Utah and Colorado sides. On the Colorado side, the ride down Echo Park Road is worth the drive. Fantasy Canyon - amazing. Moonshine Arch. McConkie Ranch petroglyphs. We had great food at the Vernal Brewing Company. Utah Field House of Natural History. John Jarvie Ranch. Flaming Gorge - lots of boating, fishing, geology trail.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great RV park for an overnight stay or to see the area. It is very easy on and off the freeway. It is 12 miles east of Kingman and there is not much there except a restaurant, truck stop and Dunkin Donuts. Very large, long sites and wide roads. Very big rig friendly. Clean and well kept. We would come again. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park with an observatory. Easy access from I-10. We stayed in sites that were paved. Many of the sites were graveled. The sites were a little short. If the toad was connected, it hung out a little into the street. The roads were easy to navigate. The internet worked well. They had a nice fenced dog run, but it was a little small. However, there was an open area across the street that had dirt roads that went on for many miles. If you have a satellite dish on your roof, access is hit or miss because of the trees at the sites. We had a portable dish and had no issues. The club house and banquet hall are very nice. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were being renovated so were not available for our stay. When the night sky is clear, they have an excellent program in the Observatory. They have a nice breakfast once per week. We would come again. We camped at Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory in a Motorhome.

Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park), Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park with easy access off I-10. Most of the sites are back in but they have pull through sites that look like they are kept for shorter term stays. The pull through site was long enough to keep the toad connected. The pull through sites are next to a nice dog run, but a long way to pool, restrooms, activity center and showers. The building are closed at night so there is no restroom, etc, access. There is no free wifi in the park. To use the wifi, you need to go to the activity hall or event center which is not convenient. The park is clean and the roads and wide and getting around was easy. There is a canal right behind the RV park with a dirt trail that goes on for many, many miles. It is great for dog walking, running, walking, etc. We did not stay long but the pool, spa, pickleball courts and exercise room looked nice. We would stay there again. We camped at Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park is within walking distance of Sam's Town and just north of the Sam's Town RV park. The park is gated with someone at the gate to check people that come in. It was clean and well kept and the people were very nice. The pool and spa were very nice. The roads are a little tight although we did not have an issues with our 39 foot RV. You will want to unhook your toad as you come into the park. We got a pull through site but because of the location of the utilities, you need to park near the back of the site so you cannot keep the toad connected. The dog walk area was very nice. The wifi worked very well. They give you a physical key to use at the pool and rest rooms - you pay a deposit for the key that is refunded when you give it back. The site was a hard surface. There was adequate spacing between the sites but a little more room would have been good. We had to park on the one side of the pad so we could have the slide out. There are some park models interspersed in the park. We would go there again. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have relatives in Grand Junction so we have stayed at this RV many times. It is easy to get to, and they have nice pull through sites. Often we do not disconnect the toad. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is right next to the fairgrounds which is a great place to walk yourself and your dog. The wifi works fine. We will be coming back. Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We just love staying here. We stay in the East campground. The sites are long and spacious with beautiful views. We use the 30 amp sites in the east campground because we like the sites better there. Thw est campground has 50 amp sites. The wifi worked fine. For us, it is a magical place. It is great to see the deer and antelope. Some years, we have seen wild turkey and elk. AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park is convenient to the highway and provides easy access to Cheyenne. The customer service is not the best, however. For the second year in a row, we asked for a site without trees, and we got a site with trees that needed trimming or they would rub on the RV. The maintenance person trimmed the trees begrudgingly and was very unfriendly. Many of the sites have trees that will cause issues with bigger RVs, but they also have pull throughs without tree issues. The roads are tight and you have to watch some of the overhead lines but we made it around in our 39 foot coach pulling a toad. The sites are level and many of the pull throughs are long enough for the coach and the toad. Some of the RVs that stayed connected hung out in the road but we were able to get around them. The bathrooms are clean and the wifi worked well. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.
