Carrollwoods RV Campground, Tabor City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very remote, small 2 lane roads lead in and out of this campground. It's a 20-30 minute drive to get to anything. It's a very quiet place since it's in the woods. No Wi-Fi at campsites, no cable, our Verizon phones worked outside the RV, AT&T air card worked on one cell. Price is too much for what you get. We checked in on a Sunday and was never told their office would be closed. We went to talk to the camp host and he said pick a site. The owner won't return my calls, or emails to discuss a discrepancy in my bill. We won't return to this park. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Coral Sands Oceanfront Resort, Ormond Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

Great campsite if you enjoy the beach. We stayed here on Easter weekend so price might reflect that. This resort has an inn, cottages and RV park. You have use of the pool by the inn and they will provide towels for pool use. Free daily newspaper, coffee and ice are available in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. The sites facing the ocean seemed to have the most space between sites. Some sites were very tight with about 12 inches between slideouts. Bathhouse was clean, but old and minimal - no hooks or benches in showers. The sites are not well defined or consistent in care. Some have grass, some sand, and others a little bit of each. Even so it was at 99% full when we were there, it was nice and quiet. This location is very convenient to local restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. We would stay there again. We camped at Coral Sands Oceanfront Resort in a Motorhome.
