Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for exploring the redwoods. Sites were easy to get into and reasonably spaced. My water hookup had a problem but they fixed it immediately. Biggest problem was lack of connectivity for cell or internet. Satellite worked fine. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Willits KOA, Willits, California

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay while we were headed north. Sites were all gravel and very dusty. Lots of activities for kids which we didn’t need. Sites were very hard to get into. Didn’t help when office gave some in our group wring directions for getting into their site. Cute town with some interesting shops. If you want to take kids somewhere this might be the place but not great for adults. We camped at Willits KOA in a Motorhome.

Riverpark RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Park is too tight for big rigs. All back in spaces. Our space didn’t have enough room for our car so we had to park it across the park. Cottonwood trees were shedding and lots of bugs. We came with a group that had made reservations 6 months in advance and they couldn’t give of spaces near each other. Too many trees for satellite. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Good location for exploring the area. Great people in office. Let us use their yurt for a group meal since it was too windy for being outdoors. Sites a little close and raised higher than the road so positioning and leveling can be difficult. I had to have my RV at the back of the site to stay level which made the hookups inconvenient. They ave dry camping in the gravel parking lot next door for $20 which gives you access to the showers, rest rooms, and laundry. We camped at The Mill Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Olde Stone Village RV Park, McMinnville, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and clean park. Some long term residents but everything is neat and clean. Very lush grass between sites. All utilities worked perfectly. Great location for exploring local wineries or the aviation museum next door. All sites are level concrete. One morning we saw maintenance crew cleaning picnic tables and checking pedestals of sites vacated that morning. This is one of the cleanest parks I’ve ever seen. If it had a dog park it would be perfect. We camped at Olde Stone Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

RV Park collocatted with a mobile home park. The two area are separated by fencing but share the pool and dog park. All seems very well maintained. All roads concrete with gravel sites. A few trees but little other vegetation since it is a desert area. Easy to get to any of the attractions in Roswell. Very long pull through sites but they do have some crown so positioning is important to make leveling easier. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Bud's Place RV Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

In town park that's convenient to places in Carlsbad. Looks like a lot of long term oil field workers as most of the RV parks in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most of the place is gravel with a few spots of grass between sites. No cable tv yet in the new section. It gets a little messy when it rains. One night there was an unfortunate situation with the police and a resident near us. This was no fault of the the park. The next day the owner refunded everyone a days fee as a good will gesture. Would never have asked but it was a nice thing to do. We camped at Bud's Place RV Park in a Motorhome.

For diesel pushers there is a station up the street with easy access diesel pumps. Much cheaper ($0.50 per gallon) than the truck stops south of town.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and neat park. Seems to be some longer term residents, but all sites were kept neat and uncluttered. Mostly newer rigs. Lack of trees in our section gave excellent satellite reception. OK room between sites but not exactly roomy. Verizon reception was great. WiFi was unusable. Even late at night I could barely get 1Mb download speed. RV dealer next door if you need parts or service. There are two sections to the park. If you're in the section across the road, some of the facilities are a bit of a walk. Dog run is unusual, it's the runoff retention pond. As long as it's not raining it works well. We had heavy showers so I couldn't take advantage of it. Easy drive into Memphis for attractions. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Greensboro KOA, Greensboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Just needed an overnight stop with good power and a pull thru site as it was very hot. Location was easy to get to from the interstate. Some noise from the highway but our site was the furtherest away from the road so it didn't bother us. Sites are way too close together. Our picnic table was right beside our neighbors sewer hookup. Hard to maneuver around the table, our slides, and the hookups to get anywhere. Site had enough slope that it was hard to level. Dog park was close by but a bit on the small size. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't feel like cooking after a long day driving and didn't want to unload the car so he provided us with a menu for a nearby Chinese restaurant that delivered. Good food and quick delivery to the site. We camped at Greensboro KOA in a Motorhome.

Clay County Fairgrounds, Green Cove Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

In town for business and stayed here. Only 5 other campers here this time of year. Only campground anywhere near Green Cove Springs. A couple of miles out of town so nothing else around. Sites are mixed grass and gravel. Fairly close together if full, but roomy for us. No WiFi but excellent Verizon signal. Jacksonville TV stations come in clear. No trees except on the east and west perimeter. We camped at Clay County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Good place for an overnight stopover. Easy in and out with all long pull through sites. Well maintained sites with lush grass between pads. Small, clean laundry. Small playground. Some highway noise when outside but not a problem inside. Someone complained about train noise but I could just barely hear one when walking my dogs before bed. Cable tv has plenty of channels and good signal. WiFi had decent speed. Great water pressure. Very friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Colonies RV & Travel Park, Fort Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

First saw this park when looking for a place to watch our son's carrier depart on deployment. Tried to stay here another time but no space was available. Area is like being in a large park in an urban environment. Very quiet even though you can see the traffic backed up going into the tunnel. Close to the beach but not very sandy. Not a lot of amenities at the park but plenty of stuff to do nearby. No WiFi or cable. Local tv channels are strong. Satellite works on some sites but trees affect others. Solid Verizon coverage with good speed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely stocked store. Bugs a problem after dark, bring repellent. We camped at The Colonies RV & Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Crossville / I-40 KOA , Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Picked this location for an overnight on our trip. Wanted a site with pull throughs so I didn't have to unhook. The front section has all concrete pads but they are not level. It would have been nice if they had poured them level. WiFi didn't work at our site which was about 50 yards from the office. It did work at the office. Cable tv was limited with a strange collection of channels. Only one news channel (HLN) but had 7 or 8 religious stations. Roads were easy to navigate with a big rig with tow. Easy to find spots at night as we arrived at dusk. We camped at Crossville / I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

New park with all concrete pads. Most are back in with 5 parallel parking sites. I had one of the parallel sites and it was all concrete with no grass for walking the dogs nor a good place to sit outside. While dogs are welcome there is no good place for them to walk or play. WiFi was ok but kept requiring sign on repeatedly. Cable was weak on many channels but seemed to improve over the weekend. Decent Verizon reception. About half the sites are seasonal but all campers were nice and sites neat so they enforce the rules for them. Restaurant at the marina across the water has loud music well into the evening. Could hear it inside our motorhome with AC running. Pool is small but very nice with good pavilion. Water temperature was perfect. Main focus of recreation is the lake and boating. Most of the back in sites backup to the lake. Nice if you have a unit with windows on the backside but not so nice for motorhomes. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA, Starke, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Was here for a few days while taking care of business nearby. Traffic getting in and out is a problem, made worse by nearby road construction. Sites were reasonably spaced with good grass between them. A few of the turns were tight for large rigs but manageable. Easy walk to small strip mall next door for groceries or restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi not very good. We camped at Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA in a Motorhome.
