Roadrunner RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

What all parks should be. Wide, long concrete full hookup 30/50 amp level pull thrus. Right off I-35, close to everything and reasonably priced. PERFECTLY located hookups for pull thru without unhooking toad. Extremely clean and manicured sites. Grass between each site. Cable provided but 40+ local over the air stations. Great wifi and cell service. I have submitted over 200 reviews and seldom give a 9 rating. This place deserves it! Would be a rarified 10 with a pool and store. Will stay again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Second visit to this park. Excellent in every way. Great location for visiting all of K.C. Pool, store other amenities. No dog park and a little noise from the amusement park. Long concrete pull thru 30/50 amp full hook up level sites. Table and patio. Grass between each site. Easy on/off from I-435. I do not give a 9 rating very often, but this one is good. Will stay again. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Adventureland Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground right off of I-80. Lots of people!. Every site was full on Friday in June. Next to amusement park and good amenities...pool, dog run etc. Roads are tight as are the sites. Full hook up level 50 amp asphalt. Trees block satellite but many local channels. Wifi is useless. Demand More People! Good cell service. Would stay again only overnight. We camped at Adventureland Campground in a Motorhome.

Pine Country RV & Camping Resort, Belvidere, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Thousand Trails with new 50 amp full hookup level gravel back in sites. Fair spacing and nice fire pits and tables. Cell service is okay and satellite works well. Pool and store. Normal amenities. Most of the permanents are in the back of this large park. Right off I-90 an hour and half from Chicago or Milwaukee. Stores and restaurants close. Would stay here again. We camped at Pine Country RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Madison KOA, De Forest, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA near Madison (10 miles) and right off I-90. Full hook up 30/50 amp level pull thru gravel sites. Nice grass at each site. Set up in a "fan" with rows. Roads are a bit tight in these semi-circles but very doable. Nice pool, playground and dog park. Near restaurants and cheese stores :) Very friendly people and hard working! Satellite in most sites and 24 over the air channels. Okay wifi only bad thing. Bandwidth is cheap. Would stay again. We camped at Madison KOA in a Motorhome.

Minneapolis Southwest KOA, Jordan, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Average at best. Roads are tight with low hanging branches. People were not very friendly. Full hook 30/50 amp back in dirt sites that are not really level and too close together. Very good wifi and some satellite sites. Pool and dog run. Had to pay a $3.00 dog fee. That's a first for us in 7 years of country wide travel! Keep On Adding (KOA). Not very close to Minneapolis as the name would suggest. Would stay somewhere else next time. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Farm Island Recreation Area, Pierre, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice State Park. ONLY 30/50 amp electric contrary to some earlier reviews, and there is NO wifi. Still a great place to stay. Long back in mostly level gravel sites right on the lake and only a mile or so from the town of Pierre. Hiking and biking trails, good fishing, swimming and friendly people. An extra $6.00 per day vehicle fee, but did not charge for the motorhome as some states do. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Farm Island Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The Good... wifi is excellent, park is clean and near I-94. Bad...sites are too short for big rigs towing and hookups are in strange places. Seem to be more for trailers, 5th wheels and short motorhomes. They call their sites pull through but only one or two with full hookups are long enough to fit without unhooking. Owner argumentative over this and says that he calls people who book only one night to inform them. Maybe so. We stayed for two nights and parked our toad at a slant. KOA website doesn't say "kind of pull thru for big rigs". Nice level roads and gravel sites, pool and kids playgrounds. Water hookups are in front of site and sewer at the back which causes some of the "pull thru" problems. Will not stay here overnite again. Would consider if longer. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Medora Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough for visiting Teddy Roosevelt National Park. Level pull thru 30/50 amp full hookup dirt sites. Pull thrus are short for big rigs, but can park toad sideways. Small store. Some satellite reception sites, but wooded. Foundation owned and operated so right in town. Would stay here again. We camped at Medora Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice small campground right off TransCanada 1 and near Regina for touring. Extremely nice owners. Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada), Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice National Park campground 85 full hookup 30 amp only pull thru (kind of for big rigs) gravel sites. 600 other sites with varying hook up or not. No one opens the check in office. Might have been because May 31st is still early in the season there? We had a reserved site and they opened for about an hour one day so we could officially check in. There are only a few level sites for big rigs, but all are doable. Walk to town. Would definitely stay again! We camped at Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Only place around with 50 amp or full hookups, but not much. Too tight to even turn in for big rigs and tight maneuvering once inside. No wifi, back in semi level sites. Owner not friendly. Too much for too little. We camped at Arnold's Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Wilkins Historic State Park, Copper Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Another State Park in Michigan that keeps no one at the gate to check you in. You use a phone to check in. Maybe later in the summer they man the gate. Still have double charge for people in motorhome towing. Must buy 2 permits which is ridiculous. (9.00 per day out of state, $33.00 annual). Some low trees and tight turns to get back to the nice pull thru asphalt 30/50 amp sites. Electric only. Has water available and a dump station. Right on the lake and near ferry to Isle Royale National Park. We camped at Fort Wilkins Historic State Park in a Motorhome.
