Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

It is hard to knock this park as we had a great site with a view of the lake out our front door. But the park has gone down hill since we were here in 2013. Mostly because of the hurricane. People told me they didn't not have insurance so that is why the buildings have not been fixed. They have put up a new fence and put some gravel in some sites but they need tons more. The staff is not real friendly and the owner can be rude to say the least. They have some nice activities and the long term people are very friendly. I was able to get satellite and that was good as cable and Wifi aren't working. Verizon in my site was real poor. Not sure I will come back here again may just try some place else. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Paradise Resort, Silver Creek, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Like has been said before the park is dated and can use some help. I liked the park and had great Verizon and Sat. I was camped in the open area with 50amp but no sewer. Sewer sites are in the trees and only 30amp. no Sat. Sites can be hard to level up in a motor home that only has air leveling. Took me 3 sites to find one I could use. Roads are gravel and can be real dust with people that cant drive 5 MPH. Speed bumps would help. Lots of sites that are not in use at this time as there is no water or elec. to them yet. Amenities are good with a great pool area and lots of things for the kids to do. If they would level up there sites this would be a much better park. We camped at Thousand Trails - Paradise Resort in a Motorhome.

Niagara Hartland RV Resort, Gasport, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with a great owner. Sites are level and gravel with patio and table and grass. There is a lake for swimming, fishing and boats. There are lots of trees so Sat. may be hard to get. Verizon worked good. There is an extra charge for metered elec. Would stay again. We camped at Niagara Hartland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Chalet Campground, Bridgewater, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park has new owners and they are trying hard to update the park and doing a good job so far. We stayed in a 40ft motorhome and had a back in site. Site was level enough to get level but it is a new site so had some mud that will be taken care of soon. Real nice lake for swimming and boating and fishing. Play ground for kids and lots of tent sites. The only bad thing was that we stayed under Passport America and the didn't follow the rules. They only take $10.00 off the night rate of $42.00 instead of the 50 percent. So if you are going to use PA you might ask when you reserve a site as PA was going to call them and straighten it out. Hope they do. We camped at Lake Chalet Campground in a Motorhome.

Hidden Cove RV Resort, Arley, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice small park, it is clean and well maintained. Nice club house and pool but not close to each other. One section has 50 amp and one has 30 amp. Power seems good so far. One draw back is that there are lots of lease sites. I think around 70%. But when I was here there were several sites open. Verizon does not work here and Wal-Mart is over 30 miles away. But there is a good food store in Arley. Roads and the grounds are well maintained as are the sites. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds, Huntington, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park but has taken over the park next to it so they have more sites. Some sites are full hookup but most are water and electric only. It is very clean and well maintained. The staff is great and it is a Pass Port America park, so the price is half off. You can go fishing if you wish in the Snake River that runs right along the park. This is a nice park and you should try it out for yourself. We camped at Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Trail In RV Campground, Lakehead, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small park with new manager. Park is a bit run down, but he just took over and is working hard to get it back in shape. They have kicked out some of the trashier people and the ones that are still here are looking ok. Wi-Fi is not working right now and the Cable is in bad shape, you only get 4 channels. The power is good and Verizon works well. The pool and bathrooms are nice and clean. I could not get my dish to work, as for the trees. Only stayed for one night so didn't set up the remote. As far as Passport Americas places go, this will be one of the nicer ones, once it is fixed up - if they do fix it up. Would stay again. We camped at Trail In RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013
Overall Rating:

Nice park with friendly staff. We stayed in a 50 amp site on the river. You have to pay for 50 amps and it has gone up to $5.00 per night. They do have some sewer sites but they are tight. Their honey wagon pump-outs are now $25.00, so try not to use it. Activities like Bingo and Craft Sales. Has some steep uphill and downhill roads and some tight turns so be careful. YOU CAN DO IT! Verizon works good and better with a booster and is 4G. Not all showers were in operation but baths and showers were clean and nice. Park looks good and lease sites were well maintained. We camped at Ponderosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

88 full Hookup sites, 30&50 amp, Cable (no charge) laundry and bath house with showers. Not much shade, gravel level sites, some trees. Park looks good with some long term users. Western Sky's RV Park, Vado, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

72 sites with full hookups. 30& 50 amp. Laundry, Showers and bath, Cable and Wi-Fi. We stayed under Pass Port America and it was $20.00. That was way too much for this place as there isn't much. Sites are packed sand with trees all over. Some too close. All pull throughs but a little tight. Cable only has 3 channels but Wi-Fi works OK at your site. Verizon works good. Showers and bath not real clean and laundry the same and some machines not working. Does have a play ground for the kids but does not look too safe. Lots of long term sites and dogs all over and not on leash. So there is dog waste all over. Would not stay again. We camped at Western Sky's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Texoma RV Campground, Gordonville, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Could be a great park. We liked it but there is not much to do in the area. Not much going on in the Park due to the time of year. They did have a Thanksgiving dinner going on. Main draw back is the fact that 60 percent of the sites are long term leases and they take most of the good sites. Would be real hard to find a good site in the summer. All seems to be maintained well but some sites we saw need some repair. We camped at Lake Texoma RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Old West RV Park, Reed Point, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Most of what has been said about this park is true, but this is a nice park. The staff is real nice and helpful. Gravel sites with not much shade. Close to highway and railroad but the noise isn't much. Think this park is a good one to stay at for a night or a week. It is clean and has some grass around your site. Pull throughs are large and can accept any size rig. There is Wi-fi at all sites and it is free. Would stay again next time through. Stayed under Passport America. We camped at Old West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice park with lots of room. Pull-through sites are 100 ft. long. Stayed for one night and enjoyed it. All sites are grass and not a lot of shade. Full hookup with 30 or 50 Amp. Direct TV worked great and Verizon was good too. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Creek RV, Kellogg, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not much. No full hookups. You have water and electric but no sewer. Have to use the dump site and they charge extra for that. No cable and to use the Wi-Fi you have to pay. This place would be OK if they still accepted Passport America, but they quit that last month. The people that run the park are real nice and in talking to them they said they were closing the park for good. This should happen soon from what they say. Would not stay here again We camped at Big Creek RV in a Fifth Wheel.
