Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park), Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park with all brand new (2 years old) facilities. Super landscaping and maintenance. Most sites are pull-thru with ample space. All roads paved and wide for easy access and all sites paved as well. Sites have excellent fho service, paved patios, picnic tables, and built-in fire pits. Restroom (1?) and plentiful private showers very well maintained. Enjoyable stay in a very pleasant setting. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Jacksonville 6 miles west. Neat historic town with good shopping and restaurants. Ashland (Oregon Shakespeare Festival) about 15 miles south on I-5 accessed just outside the entrance. More good shopping and restaurants and a great theater. Bikes? 20+ paved bike path along Beaver Creek accessed just outside the park entrance gate...goes all the way to Ashland.

Hells Canyon Resort, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park on the Snake river, adjacent to a marina. Nice welcome. Site was very good - concrete, very wide, utilities on both sides of pull thru to allow you to park in either direction. Utilities all worked well although cable had limited channels and poor reception on some channels. High water pressure, recommend a pressure regulator. Bathrooms were individual and kept in clean condition. Interior roads were paved and plenty wide. Good room between sites with grassy islands and picnic tables. Some truck noise from highway but not too bad on interior sites. Boundary sites could have noise problems. Walmart, COSTCO, Dutch Bros, and Starbucks all pretty close by. A few restaurants in town but we didn't try any. Decent golf course across the street...Country Club but open to the public and very friendly. We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park, Redmond, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent RV park. The staff is friendly and efficient. The park is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The roads are paved and easily navigated. The sites are paved with plenty of room for both the RV and toe vehicle. Amenities included full hookups and worked fine (water pressure seemed a bit high but a regulator addressed that). Patio at our site (C-7) was paved with a picnic table but was a bit small. No cable TV was a drawback but there were plenty of over-the-air channels. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in this area. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Hill AFB, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favorite stops when traveling thru Utah. A very nice park with excellent sites (we always ask to stay in the pull thrus by the running track). Large paved sites level with concrete patios and picnic table. Excellent utilities and over the air TV. Friendly staff makes you feel welcome. All roads paved and easily navigated. Convenient entrance thru south gate from I-15. BX and Commissary just a short drive (one mile?). We camped at Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Adequate for an overnight stop along I-15. Fairly easy access. All roads and sites in park are gravel and a bit bumpy. Interior roads plenty wide and easy to navigate. Sites relatively large and mostly level. Utilities were adequate with slightly low water pressure. Overall park facilities are aging and in need of attention, upgrades and investment. This looks like a park that used to be nice but is in decline. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp), Nellis AFB, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Another great stay at Desert Eagle. Outstanding staff...friendly, helpful, available. Excellent sites: paved, patios, great utilities, easy access. Grounds and facilities well maintained and shine with pride. BX and Commissary across the highway. Jets (including Thunderbirds) provide ample sounds of freedom so don't come if you don't want to hear them. We love it here and plan on returning again. Sea Perch RV Resort, Yachats, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This is a first class facility. It is situated beach side with great views. On arrival on a Sunday we were greeted immediately by a jack of all trades, very friendly and welcoming. He led us to our site and spotted us for a back-in. Site was plenty long and very wide making for easy maneuvering (some sites looked like they may be more work to back in to). Site was concrete and included a generous patio and picnic table. Utilities were modern and provided excellent service. Wifi was good, not great. Cable TV was limited to about 15 channels, some with grainy picture. Bathrooms/showers/laundry were in the well maintained clubhouse and were being maintained to an excellent standard. Clubhouse was very comfortable with big screen TV (Direct TV) and an exercise room. Being on the ocean there was a fair bit of wind but fantastic views of the sunset. We camped at Sea Perch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Yachts is about 6 miles north and has a nice variety of restaurants. 17 miles south is Florence a neat little town with a must-see historic downtown area, also with a nice variety of eating establishments. The entire stretch of coast is scenic with many places of interest to see, and many places for hiking.

Rising River RV Park, Roseburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground with a friendly staff. Interior roads are paved and easily maneuvered. We were escorted to our pull-thru site which was plenty long and very wide with good room for our tow vehicle. Site was gravel and level with a grass area and picnic table. Utilities were very good (huge cable lineup accessed using a campground provided remote control). Bathrooms appeared to be new and were maintained to a high standard. Showers were in individual rooms. There was a very nice grass walking area along the river. Located about 6 miles south of Roseburg. We camped at Rising River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort, Sisters, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

++This is a super campground. The grounds are extremely well maintained in a beautiful country setting. Bathrooms and showers are modern and perfectly maintained. The staff is friendly and totally efficient. Trash is picked up at your sight throughout the day. If needed, propane tanks are picked up at the site, refilled, and returned. Interior roads are paved, plenty wide and easily maneuvered. Our paved back-in site was easy to access. Site size was more than adequate and serviced by modern utilities. Sites have quality picnic tables on paver patios and fire rings. Campground store was well stocked. Pool and spa were immaculate. Only about 4 miles to the neat town of Sisters, and about 16 miles from Bend. We camped at Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park on several previous occasions. As on our prior visits, the park remains among the very best that we have experienced. Reception is always friendly and efficient, interior roads paved and wide, site very large offering plenty of space and very good utilities including cable and strong wifi. Bathroom/showers are the best consisting of private individual rooms maintained in impeccable standards. We have paid much more at parks that don't begin to match this one. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain View RV Park, Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stop at this park. Reception was a bit chilly as the man in the office seemed to consider our arrival very annoying. His instructions were abrupt and not delivered in a very pleasant manner. After that, things improved. Our pull thru site was mostly level and was served by good utilities. Several trees provided nice shade. Access in/out posed no problems. The park is quiet. Bathrooms/showers were adequate and kept in decent condition. The office shares space with their own cafe that served good food (and beer/wine) but that took one hour to be served. Be patient, it's probably the best choice to eat in town. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Southside RV Park, Dillon, Montana

Overall Rating:

This is a well laid out and well managed park where the owners work to maintain a high standard and pleasant surroundings. Sites have ample space, are level, and are served by very good utilities (no cable). Access in/out of sites is easy and access off of I-15 is simple. Bathrooms were a bit small but very clean. We had stayed here once before and were glad to see that the park remains a good place to stay. We camped at Southside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very good park especially for one night off of I-90. Owner is totally engaged in the management of the park and sees to it that it remains in the best of shape. He offered a coupon for free Fried Green Tomatoes at a local (very good) eatery which we took advantage of. Sites were mostly level requiring some minor adjustments. Sites were a bit closer than I normally care for but were easily accessed. Utilities were fine although cable was restricted to very basic. Bathrooms/showers/laundry were all exceptionally clean and well maintained. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park, pleasant, well run, and well maintained. Sites are well spaced with plenty of nice grass between units. Site was dead level and was serviced by excellent utilities. Access in/out of site posed no problems even for a few "monster" rigs that I observed. Merrill Rd from hwy 89 got a bit narrow but really posed no issues. Not many good restaurants in town but the Montana Rib and Chop is a sure bet. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
