Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campground certainly above average. Have been staying here for many years and management has consistently gone downhill. Virtually impossible to get reservations for more than a couple of weekdays at a time anymore. Weekends are all booked for years ahead by local residents. Many sites then sit empty from Sunday thru Thurs so often can get in during those days. They may even make reservations for you for longer but then either have you move sites or leave over the weekend. Campground is operated by Mystic Lake Casino which obviously funds it so not required to make a profit. Casino does not allow any comps for club members like some Casino operated campgrounds do. Overall a nice campground if you can get in. Don't come unless you have confirmed reservations. Might get in without Sunday night thru Thurs night. There are sites occupied by the same people for the entire season year after year and don't know how they get those. We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Prairie Oasis Campground and Cabins, Henderson, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped at the campground early afternoon July 17th. My motorhome has a voltage monitor and when I plugged in to the 50 amp outlet, the monitor would not allow a connection due to an open safety ground on the outlet. Checked the outlet with another meter I carry and same result. Checked several other sites and all had the same problem. This is a serious problem and I explained it to the manager. I did not stay as I could not get safe electrical power. Hopefully, they have had an electrician in to rewire the outlets as this is a very serious and dangerous situation. We camped at Prairie Oasis Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Advertised rate does not include $9.00 a day park pass which you must purchase for each day you stay. Facilities are nice enough. Grass is long so if you have pets to walk, it is dirty. They did "cut" grass while we were there but this involved driving around with a mower with a blade that must have been sharpened only when the mower was new. The mower did not really cut any grass at all. Would stay again even though on the expensive side for what they have. Not many campgrounds in the area so choices are very limited. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Oakwood RV Park, Clear Lake, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The campground itself is good. Wi-Fi is advertised but we could not get it at our site. Management, especially the Mrs is pretty much a grouch. The web site gives an email address but Mrs manager says it is not correct. The telephone is busy most of the time so hard to get through to check availability when traveling. They do have open sites virtually all the time so it is pretty safe to just stop in. (This probably has a lot to do with the unfriendly management.) They act like they would have a good job if it wasn't for the campers calling or stopping in and bothering them. We camped at Oakwood RV Park in a Motorhome.
