We stayed here for a Charlotte Nascar Race. This was the worst KOA we have stayed at so far. The staff seemed disinterested and bothered to help you. We were there before Halloween, and they put us on an end site right in front of the Haunted House. A diesel tractor was turning around right in front of us every 5 minutes from sunset until 11 PM toting passengers to the house. They drove way faster than the 5 MPH speed limit, and I was scared for my children's safety especially driving like this at night. People who were not campers were strolling through the park between the haunted house and the bar to God knows what hour. On the upside the rif-raff was all gone during the day and they had a nice playground/jumping pillow. It was also convenient to have a gas station right on site. I wouldn't stay here again, at least not during Halloween season. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Travel Trailer.

KOA Virginia Beach This was our second stay at a KOA campground with our family and it was again an excellent experience. The location was a 3.3 mile bike ride along a paved bike path starting right at the campground to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. For those who prefer motorized transport, the VA Beach shuttle rounded right through the campground every 20 minutes until 1 AM for $2 for an all/day fare. The kids loved the swimming pool with water slides and the jumping pillow was the ultimate favorite of ours (Not to mention that Mom and Dad had some jumping fun as well). The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The campground was large and full on Labor Day Weekend but still didn't feel crowded. I would give this location a 10 except the Wi-Fi, although functional and free, was useful for extremely low bandwidth applications limited to email and Facebook and AT&T only had 1 bar at this location. Otherwise this park was fantastic and we will definitely camp here again. We camped at Virginia Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first RV outing with our new TT and our first RV park experience. We enjoyed KOA East very much. The sites were adequate and section E along the lake was beautiful and had full hookups. Cable TV was clear and stream through property was gorgeous. Pool was clean and well maintained. Playgrounds were also in good repair. Staff was courteous and helpful with direction to our site and help backing in. The back part of the park is more wooded and was mainly empty. The train noise was a non issue unless you are a very light sleeper however it may be louder in the front of the park. Ingles supermarket was 2 miles toward Asheville on same road. After touring the facilities, I would definitely recommend lake sites as best in park. Paddle boats were great fun for the kids as well. We camped at Asheville East KOA in a Travel Trailer.
