Osage Prairie RV Park, Nevada, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fantastic park, and the couple running it are very friendly and helpful. We were in a Van Towing and they made sure we were as close to the bathrooms as possible. They have a pool, and miniature golf course, and a very nice playground. Love this park. We camped at Osage Prairie RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amana RV Park & Event Center , Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived to find two Rally's in progress and Octoberfest. The gravel sites were all taken so we were parked in the field, but did have 50 AMP electric. They were picking corn close to the park so air was full of corn dust. Plenty of roads through the park to walk the dogs. Very convienant to downtown area. Would stay here again. We camped at Amana RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

Willow Lake Recreation Area, Woodbine, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times. Have stayed in old section and new section. Old section the sites are fairly level, electric boxes are 30 AMP can be done but MH is 50 AMPS, have had electrical problems. Lots of trees.

New section has 50/30 AMP and water. Sites seem to slope to front of lots a little to much. There are a lot of young trees and bath house is very nice. They have one handicap site next to bathhouse at top of hill. Sites are terraced down to lake. There are nice walking trails. We camped at Willow Lake Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Outlet (Melvern) COE, Melvern, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Love this campground. Well maintained. Our site was across the road from the lake in the full hookup loop. We backed up to the wooded area where trail went into the woods. We still had good views of the lake. Lake side is hard to get satellite, but across the road had a clear view for our satellite. There are several other walking trails as well.

If you want a site for more than a couple of days, you need to make reservations. We camped at Outlet (Melvern) COE in a Motorhome.

Iola RV Park and Storeage, Iola, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We were very pleased with the park. Very well maintained, concrete slabs with a great grill/smoker at a few of the sites. Our site had a nice concrete circular table with umbrella holder. There is a nice Nature Trail along the creek. When I called for a site, even though it was a couple days away, the manager just took my name, no credit card, and said he would have a spot for us when we arrived. Office was smoky, but he was very nice and helpful. We did not use the shower or laundry so have no idea as to cleanliness. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Motorhome.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground, sites are very close, they have some pull-thru, some back to back sites, but most are back in. We pulled through the site behind us, into a 50 AMP electric/water. We are staying through the 4th of July. They have a fenced in play yard, and a fairly well stocked store. The roads are gravel as are the sites. Space between our site and the next is about 10 ft. We're toward the front of the park and close to the paved street, so have nice area to walk the dogs. A short distance from the park is a grassy area along the river. We are within an easy walk of downtown. Great WiFi-free, $2.00 a day for cable, we could not use Satallite due to trees around us. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's 3 days until the 4th of July and a lot of empties. Will see what the weekend brings. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town itself is an easy 10 minute walk. Cute shops, lots of restaurants, a museum, theater, and several other activities. The town is at the entrance to Roosevelt National Park, with lots of hiking, and a 36 miles circle drive.

Three Flags RV Park, Black Hawk, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Owners are new, so are trying to get park up to speed. They are very nice and helpful. Not many 50 amp sites, hope to have more next year. They have had a lot of rain this year, so had several sites un-usable. We were backed up to a railroad that had 1 train a day at 11:00 AM. Interstate was on other side of railroad and could be noisy at times. We camped at Three Flags RV Park in a Motorhome.
