Buckhorn Creek COE, Jefferson, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was a back in overlooking the lake. Very level. However, on Friday when we returned to our campsite the neighbors had arrived with boats, multiply cars and pitched three tents (paperwork stated no tents in this area), one right next to our driveway and two directly behind our trailer. So now instead of looking at the lake all we saw were tents. No park host or ranger ever drove through. Trucks, trailers, etc were parked on the grass across from their site down along a grass area . Week days very nice and relaxing, weekend gets very crazy. Oh and we opened our door to go into town and the neighbor's young son decided to pee at my steps. We camped at Buckhorn Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Daingerfield State Park, Daingerfield, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We got to the campground around 12:30. Went in and a very nice park employee was working (believe her name was Ms Wolf). in all the years I have never had such a nice helpful and courteous front desk person. Very knowledgeable and was very helpful in getting us the right site. If you are here and she is worki g thank her for her service. Now about the park the pull through site was level but a little tight but what a view of the lake!!! We have decided this is one of our favorite parks. We camped at Daingerfield State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very quiet park. We stayed in the upper area with all sites having 50 amps. All sites are asphalt and they were finishing up re-praving the roads. Our site was very private and we will be coming back We camped at Chickasaw NRA (The Point Campground) in a Motorhome.

Very nice smaller park, but will accept large rigs we had a site along the lake; believe we were told it was 40'. Great hiking trails; clean restrooms and showers were individual which would be nice. Very well stocked park store and a great small lake (65 acres I believe). We will return We camped at Tyler State Park in a Motorhome.
