Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This park is open and easy to negotiate with easy access from the highway but far enough away to be quiet. Check in was very friendly. Roads are mostly paved and sites are either paved or gravel with grass strips between sites. Our site was very level but many looked like they may need a little blocking to get level. Not much by way of shade trees. Utilities all worked well and are well located but WiFi was useless when we were there. No cable but we got 12 channels on the batwing. Showers and restrooms are quite clean. There are restaurants, movie theaters, store, and gas station on site. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hagerman RV Village, Hagerman, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park about 7 easy driving miles off highway 84 which makes for a very quiet stay. Lots of nice shade trees and grassy areas between the sites. Roads and pads are well maintained gravel and easy to negotiate. All utilities worked well including WiFi. No cable TV but we got a dozen TV channels on the antenna. Showers and restrooms are nice and clean. Very friendly owners. As with most parks these days there are a number of full time residents but all are clean and friendly. This is our second time at this park and we'll stay again when in the area. We camped at Hagerman RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Roamer's Rest RV Park, Tualatin, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This was an unplanned stop for us as we had vehicle problems. They were able to take us in at the last minute and extend our stay day by day until our truck was repaired. Very accommodating and friendly owners. This is a very clean and quiet park (well except for occasional sirens from the nearby station). Shower, restroom, and laundry facilities are among the nicest we've seen in our travels. Roads and slips are all paved or concrete. Utilities and cable TV worked well but WiFi was very slow, almost useless at times. Sites are quite closely spaced. Many had patios and/or small grass patches in between. Our site (#71) took about 2 inches of block to level us side to side and the sewer drain was uphill so I needed to drain hose by hand but most other sites were level. Some sites are a little tight to back into but the pull through sites have plenty of room for large rigs. Make sure you specify the type of RV you have. I would rate higher if WiFi was better but still I would stay here again. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There are gas stations nearby by and a Safeway 2 miles east and a Walmart about 4 miles west. There is a good Mexican restaurant about an easy 1/2 block walk west of the park.

Old Mill RV Park & Event Center, Garibaldi, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

ended up staying for more than a week due to tow vehicle break down. the park was very accommodating as we kept having to extend days waiting for truck to be fixed. very friendly staff. park is clean and quiet with a combination of paved and gravel roads and mostly gravel sites some with patios and most with nice grassy areas separating sites. most sites are well spaced (much better than the other parks here that are packed in like sardines) and level. utilities worked well though WiFi was a little slow but usable. no cable but several channels on antenna except when a storm rolled in then the TV went out. a few permanent or long term users but all were clean and friendly. the one complaint is the numerous potholes on the main drive in. i would stay here again. We camped at Old Mill RV Park & Event Center in a Travel Trailer.

pirates cove restaurant on the north end of town is good but pricey. we enjoyed the Fish Peddler at Pacific Oyster in Bay City 4 miles south more. also booked a fishing trip with Garibaldi Charters that was fun - caught a lot of fish that they fillet and also some crab that they cook for you.

Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park, La Push, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights as we traveled around the peninsula. Sites are quite close together. Roads and parking slips are gravel and even with heavy rain while we were there things weren't too muddy. Showers and restrooms have been closed due to vandalism I was told but the north campground (under separate listing) has them. Decent small store on site but stop in Forks for fuel and major shopping if needed. When checking in don't stop at the store but continue past for a couple hundred yards for check in. No wifi or tv but Verizon cell service was good. It's clean and quiet but the best thing about this place is the view - right on the beach. The staff is quite helpful. When i came in I turned a little too quick and got hung up on a stump but a couple of guys came out with chainsaws and got me free. I'd stay again if in the area but probably at the north campground. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Harmony Lakeside RV Park, Silver Creek, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

this park is beautifully laid out in the woods thus it's a little tight for the biggest rigs. there is an open section across the street for big rigs. it is very quiet and all utilities worked well including cable tv and wifi. restrooms and showers are very nice but you pay for showers (.25 for 7 minutes). roads and pads are gravel and a little muddy during heavy rains. the staff is very friendly. there are quite a few permanent residents in the park but all are clean and quiet at night. we used it as a base to visit Rainier, about a 45 minute drive. there is a gas station on highway 12 at the turn to the campground but nothing at the park. i would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Harmony Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Umatilla Marina and RV Park, Umatilla, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

nice city owned park on the Snake River. I was concerned it might noisy due to proximity of highway but it was quiet at night. utilities including wifi worked well. showers and restrooms show age but are kept clean. gravel roads and slips are in good shape. nice grass and picnic tables at each site and some are shaded and all are quite spacious. sites 1 - 6 are pull throughs with nice view of the river. got several TV channels on the antenna. One drawback is that sewer connections are a bit uphill and needed to drain the hose by hand. i would stay again if in the area. paid $30 with GS discount. Country Corners RV Park and Campground , Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

this park is my idea of nearly perfect. very clean, adorned with beautiful flowers and very friendly owners that help you get parked. the showers, restrooms and laundry are spotless. easy access from the highway and far enough off so the road sounds are minimal. They have a vegetable garden and share their bounty with you (we had fresh corn, tomatoes and cucumbers). utilities including wifi worked great and quite a few TV channels on the batwing. The only drawbacks are that they are quite full with permanents so advanced reservations are recommended. also the shower floors get wet so bring an extra towel to stand on. we stayed here a few years ago and would stay again if we're in the area. we paid $41 with GS discount. Willard Bay State Park- Cottonwood Campground, Willard, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

this is a very nice state park in many ways but quiet isn't one of them due to the highway noise. if you come, try to reserve a site as far from the highway as possible. we had site 48 and the noise was tolerable with windows closed. but it's clean, hookups worked well, sites are well spread out with covered patios, several OTA TV channels and lots to do if you're into water recreation. because of the highway noise, i probably will look elsewhere if we're up this away again. the price shown includes $8 reservation fee. Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

It's all about location for this very nice park right by the dunes and ocean. Great for a morning walk along the beach and collecting some shells. With windows open you can hear the surf at night. All utilities worked well including excellent wifi and cable TV. Friendly staff and they will help park your trailer if needed. This may be handy because some of the sites are arranged like spokes on a wagon wheel and can be a little tight and tricky getting in. Several people used this service. Nice pull-throughs for larger rigs so be sure and tell them your rig size when reserving: and you should reserve as the park was nearly full both nights we were there. Nice laundry and bathrooms/showers were very clean but showers lack a shower curtain and floors get wet so bring an extra towel to stand on. Easy walk to the embarcadero where there are a host of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this park for any length of stay. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tried 2 seafood restaurants for dinner and I highly recommend Tognazzini's. Enjoy a visit to the natural history museum in the Morro Bay State Park. Also took a beautiful drive north on highway1 to see the elephant seals, an unbelievable sight.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights at this very nice park on the Kaweah River. Some back in sites are right on the river but we opted for a pull through that was close enough to hear the river at night. It's very quiet at night hearing only the river and frogs. Main road is paved and site roads are gravel with sites being grass and gravel and some have brick patios. It's about a 15 minute drive to the entrance to Sequoia N.P. Utilities all worked fine including good cable TV and wifi. Bathroom/shower utilities were very clean but showers are pay (.25 for 2 minutes). They have fire rings so bring some wood; they told me they seldom impose fire restrictions in the park. I highly recommend this park for any length of stay. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Lane RV Camp, Barstow, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way to Yosemite and again on our way back. The park is older and it's age shows but everything is clean and owners are quite friendly and help you get settled before paying. Roads/parking slips are dirt and gravel and most sites have patios. Park utilities worked well including wifi and cable tv. Off the highway enough to be quiet but easy to access. I had no problems parking my 25' trailer but I can see how big rigs might have some difficulty though there were a couple class A rigs there. Showers could use a couple hooks to hang clothes or towels. It's not fancy but I have no problem recommending this park to others. Park is quite full with long term or permanent guests and was full both nights we were there so reservations are highly recommended. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park with friendly hosts and all utilities worked well including good WiFi and cable. High water pressure so a regulator is a must. Good paved roads with gravel pads which are rather closely spaced but roomy enough to easily maneuver. Nice clean shower/restroom/laundry facilities. Very busy road in front of the park but quiet at night. I'd suggest stopping for gas at the outskirts of town at either end as the ones in town are a tight squeeze for anything large. Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

There are expectations when you stay in a KOA and this one met them all. Friendly folks at check in (even gave me free cookies), good utilities including cable and WiFi, plenty of activities like playgrounds, pool, mini golf, a fish pond where you can feed the Koi. Gravel roads and pads in good shape, decent spacing between with some grass between sites, easy access and plenty of room for maneuvering. Quiet at night despite being close to the highway. There are roomy gas stations at the highway exit and a barbecue restaurant if you don't feel like cooking. Can't ask for more. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was a fine park with a friendly check-in, good gravel roads, nicely spaced pads with grass areas in between and plenty of room for all size rigs. Utilities worked well including WiFi but no cable but got a few channels on the antenna. Bathroom/shower/laundry facilities were very nice. There is a playground and arcade room for kids. Train tracks are very close and loud but fortunately only a couple trains went by in the night. It was quiet otherwise. Don't think you can escape them anywhere in town. I would rate higher if there was cable - hope she can get it back soon - but still a nice place to stay. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
