Bonita Lakes RV Park , Meridian, Mississippi

Overall Rating:
The facilities are fine for an overnight stay. The cleanliness of the grounds and the dog park? Due to the aroma of the overfilled trash can, I could not get into the dog park with my pet. We camped at Bonita Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beavertail Hill State Park, Clinton, Montana
Date of Stay:
September, 2017 -
$24.00
Overall Rating:
Small state park right off the interstate. Most sites are too small for a motor coach, but, off the loop (towards the boat ramp) there are 3 sites that are big enough for 35-38' coach (we got a pull-thru). Host is very gracious and good natured! Good for an overnight stay. Went up to the Garnet Ghost Town. Stayed 3 nights. We camped at Beavertail Hill State Park in a Motorhome.
Definitely Garnet Ghost Town - and if you have a 4x4, go up the mt from the I-90, If not, go the 4 lane from Missoula around the back side of the mountain!

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana
Date of Stay:
May, 2017 -
$45.00
Overall Rating:
Very quaint, beautiful campground just minutes from the interstate. We had to extend our stay to 3 nights due to a late winter snow storm. Large dog park on premises and pretty neighborhood for walks. Close to servicas and town. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
If you have small children, there is only a basketball pad; no playground or pool.

Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA, Rock Island, Illinois
Date of Stay:
May, 2017 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed on a Saturday night; one night stop over. The ladies in the office are wonderful, friendly and nice as can be. Although a pull-thru was not available, we were put on a back-in on a concrete pad! Great site for a small site, but the coach fit perfectly and it was easy to park and plenty of room leaving! Bushes behind us so the neighbors could not be nosey, kind of quiet for as many kids that were there. So, yes, we'd stop here again. We camped at Rock Island / Quad Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Date of Stay:
October, 2016 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
Actually, we didn't get to stay! The site we reserved was occupied and the occupant decided to stay another night! They put us in an overflow site too small for our motor coach with only 30 amps vice 50 amps we reserved. No sewer, water was not on the site and electric was too far for our cord even if we had a 30 amp adapter. Would have been nice if the owner called and told us ahead of time, leaving us to look for another campground, early evening on a Friday Night! We camped at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground in a Motorhome.

Little Bear Campground , West Liberty, Iowa
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$28.00
Overall Rating:
Although an older park, this place is just perfect for an over night stay. Most sites are quite level and easy to get in and out. It is close to I-80, so traffic noise might disturb some. Once we bedded down for the night, we had a great night sleep. Office staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. We camped at Little Bear Campground in a Motorhome.

Electric only sites. Large sites with plenty of room. Fill up water at the dump stations before entering your campground. There are two dump stations so availability of water is easy. Pristine campgrounds and beautiful lake. Boating/boat ramps avail and fishing is great! We camped at Angostura SRA in a Motorhome.
Reservations are HIGHLY recommended! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, getting a site is difficult without a reservation. Reservations can be made 90 days out.

This is a quaint, small campground compared to the larger corporate CGs. Paid for 2 nights what I would have paid at the bigger CGs. Well kept and maintained and close to everything touristy. For us the added benny was the large dog park! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Davis Lakes Campground, Suffolk, Virginia
Date of Stay:
June, 2015 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
Wow! We come every year to spend time with our kids. They now have WiFi and cable! The new cabins give guests more options and the added water toys on the weekends is great for the kids. We love that they still have their themed gatherings and pot lucks. Close to shops, groceries and all major tourists attractions are within an easy driving distance. Our site always has a large spacious yard for the dogs. We camped at Davis Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.
We geocache so the Cedar Cemetery was a good place for a day. As prior Norfolk residents: Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, VB Science Museum.....just about any place is a great place to visit in the Tidewater Area!

Paradise Lake and Campground, Keeling, Virginia
Date of Stay:
September, 2011 -
$28.00
Overall Rating:
Beautiful lake camping sites. Clean pool and friendly staff. Walk around the lake is quiet and serene. Fishing is great! One little lad caught a really good size large mouth bass! Wi-Fi does not work well down the hill. Our site was near the office and had great reception. As a pet friendly park, the staff needs to stress: "SCOOP THE WASTE!" Guess the dog walk area is the doggie bathroom where hardly anyone cleans up after their pets! Evening walks could be hazardous to your carpets. We camped at Paradise Lake and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:
Do you like the quiet, serene and friendly? This is it! Staff is very friendly, bath house is clean and sites are immaculate. The CG hosts different weekend activities and everyone has a great time. Great weekend camping! Lake sites are seasonal/permanent only and there is a waiting list. The security guy is gruff and not really helpful except for parking your rig. We camped at Davis Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
