Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

I stay here a couple of times a year. Very nice facility except for the nightly train that passes within a couple hundred feet. Sometimes it is a problem making reservations as you don't call the park (unless it's the day of...) and you have to deal with an automated attendant before you get to talk with a person. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Great place, been here many times but the cottonwood trees are always an issue, what a mess they make. Very accommodating management even though I can never seem to get the site I want even booking a year in advance. The patch of lawn next to each site gets over watered every day to the point the water runs across the street. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Monument Valley KOA, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

New park and still building so it's a bit rustic. Pavers for patio are nice touch but loose the fire pit. Sites need more gravel or better yet, pavement. Great views and a great alternative to Gouldings. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park except for the trees. The overgrowth is out of control. Trimming is only minimal and only enough to get you into your site. Even the streets are an obstacle course, I hit my Jack TV antenna twice getting through the park. Poor trailer parking and no dog poo control. Could be the nicest place for miles with better maintenance. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park, Antonito, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well to start with, the "Pull Through" sites technically can be pulled through but you might encounter a big hole in the field that is in front of the sites. The hookups are at the very back of the site and would have required long hoses if I have been able to pull through with my toad attached which is want I wanted. Here is another example of the sewer connection a foot above the grade. The hose bib was below the sewer connection in the weeds. The water system was off one afternoon and I had to call the office (no one answered) to get it back on (it did about 30 minutes later). One night the guy behind me decided to have a campfire within about 20 feet of three trees. Keep in mind there is a burn ban in in effect in most of the state but the fire kept going stinking up my MH almost to the point I was going to have to move because the manager didn't think it was a problem. This place is just a dirt field with some gravel roads and some hookups. We camped at Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

It's the best place in town but there is a lot of rood for improvement. My site was so off level and narrow I had to manually level my coach so my step didn't crash into the cement patio slab. I couldn't move over because the sewer pipe was in the way. The landscaping vegetation looks trashy and in need of a major cleanup. Some of the roads need grading, I had to drive through the site in front of me to exit easily. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed here for a week every year for the last 8 years or so. They added a new pool and spa which is totally useless. Should have put in the money into updating the electrical, WiFi, and cable TV systems along with wider cement walkways. The Cottonwood trees really need to go. They are in the way and make a real mess. They only have a few long pull through sites. I got one this year but not next year as they seem to be booked for next year when I want to stay. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sonoma County Fair Grounds, Santa Rosa, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very low-key operation, no park map. There is a 14 day limit but there are many that obviously have been there for much longer with the usual mess around their site. Saw what appears like groups sharing a site. One had so many rigs that they fully blocked the road. I saw the park host telling people to pull way too far forward in site blocking the access road. I almost couldn't get out. The park is all gravel with no markings. It's the only park in town and it's usable. We camped at Sonoma County Fair Grounds in a Motorhome.

Cal Expo RV Park, Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

I was in the gravel lot which was very dusty. Sites are somewhat close but usable. There is a nice paved area but the sites are small the lot is way off level. There are not many choices in this area so it's as good as it gets here. We camped at Cal Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA. Old and run down. If it's dry it's very dusty. Lots of potholes in the dirt road inside the park. Trees that need trimming. But the worst part is the management allowed a toy hauler 5th wheel, two pickups, and a large delivery truck into the two sites next to me. They spread out into the neighboring sites, including mine. Stuff everywhere. I counted 11 people but there might have been more. It's a good thing I didn't want to use my patio table or any of the area, as they took it over. I couldn't even open my basement doors without getting them to move. They even lit their BBQ almost under my slide. They never apologized or got out of the way. They even pitched a tent right in front of my door. They were noisy playing their music and talking up until about midnight. There would have been a problem if I had to confront them so I didn't. The management drove by on golf carts numerous times and never said anything. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Motorhome.

Southern Living RV Park, Greenwood, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Yes some sites have too much slope to them. Some sites are only 400 feet from the interstate but the noise isn't too bad. The water hookup was in a sunken irrigation well and was difficult to connect the hose to. Only the long cement sites seem to be used for overnight customers as most of the rest of the park is long term tenants. Okay for a overnight stay. We camped at Southern Living RV Park in a Motorhome.
