Smokiam Campground, Soap Lake, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in for an overnight on our way south without a reservation. The maintenance man checked us into a mostly empty park. Very friendly and helpful. All special amenities shut down for winter but we didn't mind. Lovely, tidy park. We walked our dog and let her run in the park. Lake is really pretty as were all the Fall leaves. Be sure and google Soap Lake, very interesting. Right by 17S but we didn't notice the traffic noise in the motorhome. I can see this would be a real happening place in the summer months. Sites sloped to lake. Narrow roads and tight turns in park. We would stay here again. We camped at Smokiam Campground in a Motorhome.

Heyburn Riverside RV Park, Heyburn, Idaho

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone about this park. It only has 29 spots and I want it to always have room for me. Easy to get to off of 84, GPS did take us right to it. Self check in until April 1 when the host arrives. Spacious, level sites, no problem for our 40 ft motorhome and car. Beautiful views, walking paths on the Snake River, all of the reviews are correct. Loves on the corner when we leave to fuel up. My puppies loved it, I'm coming back and am going to spend a couple of days. We camped at Heyburn Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. George / Hurricane KOA, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

I use KOA all the time because I know what to expect. When booking, I use the app and enter length of unit, towing and pull thru. I don't want to disconnect my car for an overnight. Nope, very compact campground, no sites long enough. You have to disconnect. Had a 45' footer follow us in, they left, couldn't open their slides. This would have been good to know, I would have booked a back up site in Mesquite and gone to the casino. We camped at St. George / Hurricane KOA in a Motorhome.

Cedars Campground & RV Park, Malakwa, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Campground about 6 miles east of Sicamous on Hwy 1. Campground is older and first impression not that great. However all campsites are spacious, fairly level pull throughs with fire pits and picnic tables. Bring a broom because this is camping not resort RVing. A little tight navigating large units in and around campground. Campground has great walking paths, actually saw a bear twice. Indoor pool and playground for the kids. Traffic noise is audible as right next to busy Hwy 1. We camped at Cedars Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch), Maricopa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Signs to get into the park and locate the office are poor. It is a Good Sam park in transition and has a long way to go. The whole park is gravel and the sites are wide and level, hook-ups are good, Wifi was really good. No picnic table. About 10 miles to Casino and Maricopa. We camped at Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Palm Harbor RV Park, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, older RV park. Sites are tight and mostly fulltimers. Staff is friendly and helpful. The park us on the water but you cannot have slides out IF you can fit in the small space. We didn't mind the site up against the storage building or the mosquitoes, what we minded was, in order to get our devices logged onto the wifi, we had to take them down to office and they would enter the password for us. We camped at Palm Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Itasca State Park, Park Rapids, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this state park. Roads windy and narrow getting into the park. Only 1 pull through. All other sites back in. Our campsite not really wide but plenty long for 40' motorhome and tow vehicle. Lots of privacy between sites. No water, fill your tanks, 50 amp. Lots to do, lots to see. There are RV parks around Itasca SP, you will not regret staying IN the park. Itasca would be spectacular in the Fall. We will be back. We camped at Itasca State Park in a Motorhome.

Little run down. Sites not level, close together and difficult to access. Our site was noisy due to a large pump that kept kicking on and off. Staff very friendly. Area quite pretty, great walking trails and plenty of deer. We camped at Sam Houston Jones State Park in a Motorhome.
