Shasta Lake RV Resort, Lakehead, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park locally owned/operated for many years. Small store on site. Docks for boats about a quarter mile from campground. Easy access off I5. Full hookups. Pool was not open due to drought conditions in 2016. We are scheduled to stay here again in June 2017 for annual family campout. The campground is not horrible, just older, and we've not had any problems staying here. Trees and shade, gravel sites, full service local grocery store and restaurants about a half mile down the road. Nothing fancy but good for our group. Railroad runs close to all the campgrounds in Lakehead, so there is always train noise at all of them. We camped at Shasta Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Found this park by accident when we were driving into Winnemucca from the east to another RV Park. Everything is brand-new and in excellent condition. Easy in and out and easy access off and on the freeway. Very quiet at night. Many park model units here that are in place for housing for people working for the mining companies. These were mostly empty now, so the park may be considerably different when those units are occupied later this year. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meadows RV Park, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Exit 138 off Interstate. This is a pretty basic, no frills park with level gravel sites and roads. Easy to miss the turn off S Haynes Ave because the park is back off the road about a block, and I did not see signage out on the main street. Right next door to gas station with easy access for diesel. Friendly staff. Close to several restaurants. We camped at Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ennis RV Village, Ennis, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Park was almost full; however, we were able to secure an overnight pull thru spot without a reservation. Helpful friendly staff. Easy access from Hwy 287 just north of small town of Ennis. Clean and quiet. Plenty of room for toad to stay hooked up. Great place for overnight and close enough to Yellowstone NP to use this as a home base instead of the more crowded and expensive RV parks closer in. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Woodson Bridge RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Our travel group comes here every year in the spring. The owners and staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. The campsites are clean, many situated along the banks of the Sacramento River. Beautiful views of the water. Nice clubhouse for use by groups, small store onsite for basic food and camping necessities. Easy access in and out for all size rigs. Quiet. There are quite a few permanent residents who are quiet and respectful of campground rules. Great hiking trails in adjacent State and Federal recreation areas. We camped at Woodson Bridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sacramento River RV Resort, Redding, California

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here for six nights with our Loners on Wheels club. We had 21 rigs. Management was very friendly and accommodating for our entire group. There is a nice clubhouse for use of groups. Facilities were clean and neat. There are a number of permanent residents in the campground, but spaces were neat and orderly. Mature trees provide shade for many spaces. Walking trails along banks of the Sacramento River, pet areas, close to major shopping. We camped at Sacramento River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Village at Childs Meadow, Mill Creek, California

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Camped for six nights with Loners on Wheels club with sixteen rigs. This was our second year at this wonderful campground located right off Hwy 36 between Mineral and Chester. Owners and their staff are friendly and helpful. They also run the cafe with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. They are open for the evening meal on weekends. They also catered a barbecue for our group. Huge pines provide shade. Some sites provide clear view of the southern sky for satellite reception. Cell reception is spotty. We camped at The Village at Childs Meadow in a Motorhome.
