Indianapolis KOA, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at the Indy KOA in the afternoon during rain storms. The turn around the laundry room to the office is tight for a big rig! Following check-in we were escorted across the bridge over Buckeye Creek to the "D" section, specifically Site D-13. The site was long gravel pull through with a patio. Wifi was typically weak with little bandwidth. Power, sewer and water worked fine. And then the storms began again! About 11 PM I noticed activity at several distant sites, looked like people were leaving... I took the dog out in the rain and noticed water was covering the patio. At 1:30 AM I woke up when our neighbor in D14 started his engine... He was wading in knee deep water disconnecting his coach! He attempted to pull out but became mired in the mud along side of the CG road (the road was completely covered in water and could not be seen in the dark. I checked outside our door and the water was ~ 12 inches deep! I raised the coach jacks to their maximum height and waited for day light. At first light I broke shore connections, pulled forward where I guessed the road was and backed out of the CG onto the highway! My frustration, NO ONE FROM THE KOA notified us of the flooding or the potential for flooding! The bridge over the creek and the CG was mostly underwater! The next morning, NO ONE FROM THE KOA showed up to help!! We, with the other campers, cleaned up and departed using the back CG entrance. Where were the people operating this CG?? And before you ask, NO, we did not receive a refund for our paid second night!! We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great little Park located a few miles from the Interstate. The Park has wide paved streets with level, cement pads/patio and is well drained, for when the torrential rains start. The Wifi is exceptional and the Park location receives the major networks with your OTA antenna. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park Ridge RV Campground, Van Buren, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park owners are very nice but, the park is sorely in need of some TLC! The sites are not numbered and I was directed, by telephone, to the "50 Amp" row and to pick a site. Most of the residents are full timers. The sites are dirt/gravel and the entire park became a "mud puddle" when it rained. The electrical hook up worked but, was held up on a precarious angle by a wooden post. One of the photos I posted is a picture of our sites BBQ Grill... That's it sitting, rusted through on its mount pole. The sites are close... Very close where I couldn't deploy our window shades without touching our neighbors rig! When paying for our site, I asked if there was a preferred exit path... I was told their is but I should figure it out. If you're driving a Big Rig I suggest you walk the exit paths, our neighbor pulled out before us and turned left, I opted to go right. I noted he could not make the turn and had to "maneuver" their way out of the tight turn. A cable box was offered at an additional cost. We were able to pull in all of the major OTA channels. No WiFi was offered. Water, sewer and electrical all worked! We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Dayton KOA, Brookville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older KOA with narrow roads and tight maneuvering for Big Rigs. The sites are close together and getting around parked vehicles is an issue (we observed a collision of a 5th wheel and a parked car). Appears to be lots of sponsored activities for kids. The WiFi was poor and I did have to ask another camper to move their car so we could exit. We camped at Dayton KOA in a Motorhome.

Anderson Camp , Eden, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived at Anderson Camp and was assigned site 76. Upon arriving at our assigned site I had to stop and trim the adjacent trees to allow our tall RV access without damaging the coaches paint! Twenty minutes of trimming and I was able to access the site. When leveling, the site was so sloped, the front wheels of our 45 foot coach were lifted off of the ground! That made entering and exiting the coach a challenge due to the height of the step. The WiFi was typical campground, good signal with limited bandwidth. When preparing to depart, I had to back the coach out of the site due to the remaining untrimmed trees and a large boulder guarding a water main. I could not make the turn with out dragging tree branches down the length of the coach. The Campground rules are ignored as numerous dogs were running loose without a leash (including the campground owners dog!) The coach next to us had their dog attacked by a dog that was unleashed! We camped at Anderson Camp in a Motorhome.

Klamath Falls KOA, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park has come a long way in the last 4 years! The new owners have cleaned the park up and continue to invest in it. There were contractors in the park leveling the Big Rig sites and they have added a Big Rig Patio Site (we were the first guests to use the new site.) The park is a little tight maneuvering and if you have the Patio Site you will have to drop your toad if driving a Big Rig. The Park was neat and the staff was super friendly! WiFi is available but the bandwidth is a little lacking. We camped at Klamath Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

Flying Flags is a large well appointed Park in Buellton. Thee is lots to do, especially if you have kids. The WiFi was weak to non-existent and the roads/turns on tight if you are driving a Big Rig. We were assigned Site 115, a Super Site. The Site had a large corner yard, patio, picnic table and BBQ grill. There are two "downers" for this site, 1.) it is located across from the Parks maintenance yard so there is a lot of traffic and noise during the day and if you're driving a Big Rig (45 Footer Class A) plan on backing out of the site. To "pulling" out of the site is not possible due to a large tree, fence, too narrow of a road and the immediate 170 degree turn required to exit. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, Lancaster, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed at the A V Fair Grounds RV Park several times. The Park is Big Rig friendly, with full hook ups. Unfortunately, the park has gone downhill! There is no management on the premises during the day! And when they are on site they ignore what's going on in the park. Park rules state "Temporary Residence Only, with a maximum stay of 21 consecutive days"; in reality most spaces are occupied by "long term" residents! The sheriff was on site 3 of the first 5 days we were in the park. The sheriff was called to the park twice for actions of a single resident, chasing him with tasers! The washroom security codes have been compromised by the local homeless population that use the facilities. RVs park across the street from the park in the desert and the occupants walk across the street to use the facilities. One long term park resident, who was parked adjacent to the East Center Dog Run, turned the run into their private dog park. They strung metal wires between poles and tied their 3 large dogs up to the leads and left them unattended. Other dog owners could not use the run! When the occupants relocated they left dog feces everywhere... And again, the "Park Manager" drives past this daily! Park Rules state "no outside storage", one trailer has an old couch behind it. A 'Long Term" resident sleeps on the couch at night! The number of vehicles that show up after dark, parked across the street from the park, is concerning... I called the Sheriff the morning I found a driver slumped behind the wheel of a pickup!! Later that afternoon, that same pickup was parked at the restroom facilities with the driver inside using the facilities! This park has become DANGEROUS due to a complete lack of management oversight! If the park management doesn't exert control over the park and begin enforcing park rules, someone is going to be injured or worse! This is really a shame because this was once a very nice little park. We camped at Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Ivy's Cove RV Retreat, Russellville, Arkansas

Overall Rating:

Very nice family owned and operated RV Park. The owner was very friendly and helpful in getting us parked. The roads were wide enough to easily maneuver a 45 foot coach. All site resources worked well and the WiFi was exceptionally good. The park is very close to I-40 and there is a Flying J and Pilot at the exit. We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Motorhome.

Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA, Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Magic Circle RV Park is becoming a KOA Park, named Willcox - Cochise KOA. The new owners are completely redoing the park! They have installed a brand new KOA Office and laundry building and are currently installing a new patio, kitchen bath facilities. In addition they have installed all new electrical and water resources at the parking sites as well as a number of patio sites. The WiFi is some of the best we've used! The park staff was very accommodating and helpful. The park was still under construction during our stay but should be a REALLY nice facility when complete! We camped at Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We've been coming here for 14 years. The park has large cement pads with wide paved streets; no gravel, dirt or mud! The owner keeps the park nicely landscaped and very clean. The WiFi is outstanding and the Katy Trail is right out the back gate of the park. All park resources worked well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will return!
