Umatilla Marina and RV Park, Umatilla, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here often. It is a public park and all the sites have good spacing. There is access to the river. The sites and roads are gravel and easy to get in or out. There are pull throughs and back in's. The staff is very good and helpful and the park is well maintained. The only downside is they have only a few 50 amp sites, the rest are 30 amp but the power is good through out the park. We camped at Umatilla Marina and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park is east of town and located just off I-80. It has both pull throughs and back ins. The roads are all paved as are the sites. The sites are long and wide. It is easy in and out for all the sites. The services worked well. The office staff is friendly and they have some convenience store items in the office. There is a restaurant (Winners) located next to the park as well as a small casino. We have stayed before and it is a good stay if in the area. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with wide gravel roads and cement parking sites. There are small trees at most sites but don't interfere with any thing but add to the overall looks of the park. All the services are in the middle. The check in was easy and quick. The park is well kept and maintained. It is a good stopping point for overnight or a longer stay. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting the Joshua Tree National park. It was a convenient location. The staff was very good and helpful. The park had several longer term residences. They have back ins and pull throughs, the roads are narrow so getting into either is tight. The site widths are good, so this helps make it easier. You have room to park a tow vehicle beside your rig and still have "living" room. All the services are at the rear but all worked fine. One negative is the sites could use some weeding around the services. It is with in walking distance to a golf course. It served us well for what we needed. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is a large park with gravel/dirt roads and sites. Most of the sites are side by side. The roads are wide the sites are not defined but a lots of room. It is a typical southwest park. The park is across the street from a Casino and they provide a shuttle service. All the services were working fine and the staff was very helpful. We camped at Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Beatty RV Park, Beatty, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park is small and located outside Beatty. The park is all gravel with fences making off the sites. It has an odd layout in that some of the sites are pull through if you are first and then behind is a pull in site. If you try to back in the services are on the wrong side. Being in the back of one of these sites makes in hard to disconnect from a fifth wheel or trailer. All the sites are level and the services worked fine. We camped at Beatty RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Waters RV Resort & Cottages, Indio, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a winter destination park. Most of the sites are back in with a few pull throughs. The roads are wide and the back in sites are also wide so backing in is not a problem for most of the sites we saw. We had a pull through and they are narrower than the back in sites but it was also easy in and out. The park is very well maintained some areas have grass others are gravel only with paved roads. We found this a great place to stay for the few days were in the area. I would guess that it is hard to get in during the peak winter months, as it is one of the better parks we saw in the area. We camped at Indian Waters RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located on the Colorado river. Close to I-10 but little noise as it sits down a hill. The roads are gravel as are the sites. The sites are average width and all the services worked fine. It is a winter destination park. Thought the price was a little high for this park. We were here overnight. The Office is located at the top of a hill then to enterthe park you go down a steep hill plenty of room to maneuver but it is a pull coming out. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

San Angelo KOA, San Angelo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located near one of the lakes in the area. They have pull thrus and backins. The site we had has a patio with chairs and fence between sites. Some sites don't have those amenities. The sites are all gravel some have nice spacing others look to be side by side. The staff is VERY helpful and friendly. We had an electrical issue when we arrived at our site and they were there very quickly to test the circuits and find the problem, they did and changed a breaker before I could finish setting up. All of the staff we talk to anted to be sure our stay was good and wanted to do anything to make it a great stay. Most defiantly we will be back when in the area. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The Vineyard at Fredericksburg RV Park (formerly Quiet Creek RV Resort, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park, we think it is one of the better parks in Fredericksburg area. The sites are long the services are in the middle. The sites are gravel and nicely spaced the main roads are gravel. It is easy for big rigs to get around. The negative on the roads are the speed bumps however it does keep the speed down. They have added a play area for the kids and have a nice field area in the center for pets or people to walk. They have a good laundry, showers and bathrooms. It is outside side the city a short distance but we like it because it is quiet. We will be back again. We camped at The Vineyard at Fredericksburg RV Park (formerly Quiet Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Victoria Coleto Creek Lake KOA, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park before however this time they have had a lot of rain and the park showed it. We were in a spot that had standing water and mud. There were some spots that we fine. It was not the fault of the park that they had so much rain. I do think they should have reviewed the available sites and close those that were bad like the our spot. The park has been one of our favorites to stay in the past. There is nice spacing and prior to the rain the interior roads were good. The park is under new management and the new owner is working on improving the sites and the roads as best he can in these wet conditions. We think it is a good park if they can improve those sites effected by the water or not use them until it dries. We camped at Victoria Coleto Creek Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stella Mare RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a newer park in Galveston area. It is a really a very nice park. We booked it on line and had never seen the park before arriving. We were very impressed when we drove in and were greeted by one of the staff who showed us to our site then we went to the office to get our " check in package". The office staff were also very nice and accommodating. The park has all asphalt roadways and cement sites with patios and tables. The sites have nice spacing. We have been very pleased with the appearance of the park and the people. It is located on the west end of Galveston close to the action but outside the crowds. They have the amenities (nice pool area and gulf viewing patio) and staff (was truly impressed)to make this a very nice place to stay in Galveston. This will be our go to park in the area in the future. I don't often give a 10 rating but this park is in my view. We camped at Stella Mare RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located just off I-10. It is near several options for fuel and has a small casino near by. The park has gravel roads and sites. The sites are long and average width. The staff is excellent very friendly and helpful. They had a free dinner and breakfast available, that was good. Not sure if that is all the time or special, we stayed on a Saturday night. It rained and there was standing water but it receded quickly and there were no issues. The interior roads are a little narrow could be tight but we did not have any problem. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boomtown Casino RV Park, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

It is an easy park to drive to but a little complicated procedure to check in, you need to call ahead about 10 minutes and they will give you a code for the gate and a site number. A security guard will come over from the casino and unlock the electric. The other thing is the pull thru's are really back to back double sites. If you are there first then it is a pull Thru but if not it is a back in. The roads are very wide so backing in is not an issue. The sites are not long enough to stay hooked up because of the double site. It is a walk to the casino (across the road). The sites are all cement the roads are paved (an old parking lot). There is grass between and nice spacing. As mentioned before there are no rest rooms or showers or office at the park. We would return to the park. We camped at Boomtown Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
