K and R RV park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is primarily a park for permanent motorhomes. It was a bit scruffy, with uncut grass and some garbage around. But it is only a mile off of I-35 and there is a large, new Quik Trip store adjacent. It wasn't pretty, but it was handy. Friendly lady in the office. She wouldn't take cash, only check or CC. We camped at K and R RV park in a Motorhome.

Sanger / Denton North KOA, Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large spacious park. We parked on gravel. Very little shade. It was a long walk to the bathrooms and showers. The bathrooms have a toilet, sink and shower in one room. There were three of these and a single toilet for men and for women. Might be a long wait in busy season. We camped at Sanger / Denton North KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed here one night. Easy to get to from I35 and it is right next to a large RV center. The metal picnic table was too hot to use! Nice clean place.

Dallas / Arlington KOA, Arlington, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place. Even though it is in the middle of a very commercial area, it is a lovely, quiet oasis. Paved roads, gravel sites with grass and picnic tables. There are trees by many of the sites. Half of the sites are pull through with additional parking for a car. We stayed here for two weeks and had no problems. Everything was clean and well kept up. About half of the sites looked fairly permanent, but they were also well kept. Our price included a long stay rate. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a curbed median directly in front of the entrance that extends almost the whole block. Do not approach this park from the north on Cooper Street. Anything bigger than a Class B will not be able to do a U-turn.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an RV park at least a quarter of a mile from the casino. One can call the casino for a ride from your site. Registration for the campground is at the entrance of the casino. There are no toilets or showers in the campground. There are toilets in the casino. And a restaurant. This is very handy from I-35. Well kept, but watch out for the goose poop. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor, Goodfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

"Do you have WiFi?" we asked before checking in. Slight hesitation, then "Our WiFi is provided by (name of company)," the clerk replied, and gave us the info sheet on the provider. When we couldn't log in, we phoned the provider, who informed us they had disconnected the campground after they failed to pay their bills for internet service for months. In short, the clerk lied to us. Unacceptable. We stopped at this campground in March - it is open all year. It has a large number of permanent sites and easy to access sites for larger units just stopping overnight. It has a pool and rental golf carts. Few fire rings available. This is no longer a Yogi Bear Jellystone Park. We camped at Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor in a Motorhome.

Happy Land Campground, Kakabeka Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We just stayed here overnight. We were surprised there were NO mosquitoes as we sat out until it was dark. Wifi worked fairly well outside. We did not use the facilities, but checked them out and they appeared to be clean and adequate. Nice separation of sites with trees and bushes. We camped at Happy Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Wawa RV Resort and Campground, Wawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We overnighted here in this heavily wooded campground. Easy access off the main highway around Lake superior on the north side. We moved our vehicle when the WiFi wouldn't work even if we were standing under the wifi point. The bathrooms were clean and adequate. Showers were in a unisex building with adequate locks on each large shower space. We camped at Wawa RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Casino Hinckley RV Resort, Hinckley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is an especially nice place if you don't lose any money gambling. There is a bus that will pick you up at your spot and bring you to the Casino for dinner. The bathrooms and showers are top of the line. And the Wifi was good. Great place to stop overnight just off I35. We camped at Grand Casino Hinckley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on Labor Day weekend and it was very busy on Sunday and everyone left by Monday noon. There is a nice pool and lots for kids to do. The place was well kept and clean. They loaded us an extension cord without charge. WiFi was just OK/slow if we sat outside in direct site of the antenna. We camped at Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Hickory Oaks Campground, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The lights in the shower are on a motion sensor and shut off half way through our showers. The showers are in the main building at the front of the campground and can be a long walk from a campsite. There are additional ones that were more primitive further into the campground. There is lots of room to maneuver to dump tanks. Several of the campsites are centered around a single electrical post and we had to back up fairly close to others to make our extension cord reach. It is a pretty place - farmland - and lots of trees. We camped at Hickory Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.
