Mission RV Park, Redlands, California

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Close to the highway but far enough away that there is no highway noice. Nice owner and manager run the park. Kind of pricey at $38 per night I thought. Free internet that was pretty fast. Very tight spaces. Will return. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Mead RV Village, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We received a nice welcome when we showed up with no reservations. The nice lady at the desk worked us in (they had a big group coming the next day). We did not try the free wi-fi. Restrooms and showers were clean. Park was clean. Easy back-in spaces. Nice tables and concrete slab at each space. Close to Hoover Dam and Vegas. The park crew has a very loud ATV that they use to check on things. Will return for sure. We camped at Lake Mead RV Village in a Motorhome.

Shady Creek RV Park & Storage, Aubrey, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

My wife gave this park a great review on another website 2 years ago when we visited the park. The RV park has changed to a trailer park. They have at least 100 of those FEMA (Katrina) Mobile Homes there now. I am told about half are rented out and the other half were sold. With the construction workers staying there...there is always traffic coming and going at all hours of the day and night. There is no way the poor lady in charge of the cleaning of the laundry and restrooms could keep it. They were always dirty. And they charge a high rate for water (our water bill was $36 for 2 weeks!). Internet was $50 a month and slow! Park feels unsafe to my wife. New owners are only concerned with long term customers and not friendly to daily/weekly customers. We will not return. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Benbow KOA (formerly Benbow RV Park), Garberville, California

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

$50 pull through with tax. Very clean and neat RV Park on their own golf course. Discounts for golf if staying in their RV Park or Hotel. Lots of nice trimmed trees through out the park. All spaces seemed easy to get into. Well laid out park. Playground, enclosed dog area, and even a very nice pet shower. One of the nicest pet showers I have seen in many travels. Very friendly office staff and park staff. The park guy stopped by a few times to make sure everything was going OK and if I needed anything. 1st class RV Park. I will return. We camped at Benbow KOA (formerly Benbow RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Mather Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

I called the 800 number for reservations at Mather campground for 1 week, starting March 20. When I arrived on March 20, the campground told me my reservations were for April 20. They were full and still found me a space for 1 week. They were great. Very friendly staff. The campground is a typical National Park with no hookups. The rangers and park police drove the campground on regular basis. Showers clean and only $2. Laundry clean and plenty of machines. Everyone at the park was friendly and helpful. We camped at Mather Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Sandy Lake MH & RV Resort, Carrollton, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I give it an 8 for the location. If you are needing access to DFW airport or even downtown Dallas area, this is the park to stay at. I have been staying here on and off for the last 5 years. Friendly staff. They are always on top of issues and keeping the place clean. Most sites are level and easy to get into. Some are close together. Laundry and showers always clean. We camped at Sandy Lake MH & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Destiny Dallas RV Resort, Denton, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park is not as nice as it used to be (2 years ago). Good location when needing to be in Dallas. Sites are tight for larger RVs. Not a lot of choice in the area. Lots of road noise towards the front of the park. We camped at Destiny Dallas RV Resort in a Motorhome.
