Huntsville State Park, Huntsville, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We camp here after school had started, so it wasn't very crowded. Lots of tall pine trees, the lake look great. Miles of hiking trails. even though the park is close to i45 it is very quite. I had read the sites were un-level,and that is true. if you can look at the site pics on the reservation page try to pick a level one. be aware there are alligators in the lake. neat to look at, but stay your distance. All in all this is a really good state park. We camped at Huntsville State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jamaica Beach RV Park, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This is a park highly recommended by a lot of folks. And it is well justified. A family park that has a lot to do in the park. The owners have thought it out well. And they live on the property. Put-put golf, two pools, hot tubs, and the main feature is the lazy river. My grand kids loved it. We went after schools were in and it wasn't crowded. I think in mid summer, the pools, and etc. would every crowded. Far enough out of the city not to have that crowd , but easy to get back to Galveston if you wanted. This is an other park we will return to . We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bayfield Riverside RV Park, Bayfield, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a very nice park close to Durango. It makes a great base camp to go to all the attractions in southwest Colorado. On the Pine river there is great fishing right on site in the park. Fishing on their property you don't need a fishing licences. Although the sites are gravel they are very neat. When we were there they were very busy. Just shows how a great of a place it is, it has many return customers, add us to that list. We camped at Bayfield Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Durango North / Riverside KOA, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great KOA park. They have just recently laid asphalt in the streets. The sites are gravel. But it is a very pretty park. On the amimas river and in between two mountains, it is just beautiful. I will say this negative, that larger rigs it may be a little tight. But there was large rigs there when we were there and it only took them a little longer to set up. Although a steep entrance, the sites are level. This is a great base camp for southwest Colorado. Hope to get back there one day! We camped at Durango North / Riverside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Well this park is made for families. In the park there is a lot to do with great water slides and three pools. The kids loved this place in the summer heat. There are games that the park hosted for kids and swings, play grounds etc. This park will be definitely be on our list to return to, if the grand kids are with us. But if a water park is not your thing, there are cheaper parks around. Maybe not as nice, but still great for the area. Yeah will return again with the grand kids soon. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver's Bend State Park RV Campground, Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very beautiful park. Lots of hiking and fishing. there is waterfalls, a lake and a river. The water is cold, but that is OK if is hot weather. We had ATT service, but our neighbor didn't have Verizon service. Lots of wild life to see. Here are the cons: only a few RV sites are reserve-able , so if you go on a busy time the may not be a site for you. Also be aware of the horns when they let more water out of the hydro plant very loud. But still we would like to go back. We camped at Beaver's Bend State Park RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Caprock Canyons State Park, Quitaque, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

As noted the bison were free to roam in the park and it was a joy to watch. Prairie dogs were there also, neat to watch and listen to (they bark like little dogs). The hikes were great whether on the road or the trails. At night the stars are great to look at also (there is no bright city lights to compete with them) We really like this park, but it was water and elect. only and that's OK. But the dump station was closed. We had to go to town to an RV park pay extra $10 to dump. But still, we had a great time and hope to go back again. We camped at Caprock Canyons State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Garner State Park, Concan, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Let me start by saying when we got to the park, about 4:30 pm there was many campers trying to check in. Took about a hour to check in. But once we got in the park was great. We went mountain climbing, hiking, swimming in the Frio, and even got to dance at the pavilion. Had a great time. this was a week after spring break, so the park wasn't super crowded. We highly recommend this park but just be aware that it can get very crowded. Also be careful climbing, we seen a person that had to be care flighted out after a fall. We camped at Garner State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times. This state Park is really nice for a few days getaway. Heavily wooded, lots of wild life. Cell signal (att)was so,so. OTA tv was fair. But lots to do,fishing, hiking, bike, and such. Yes we will go back to this park again. Caution though there are some site that are quite small for longer trailers or motor homes. Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night as a shake down. This COE park is well taken care off. Although it is a small park is very nice park. Close to Waco and all to do there. But still a very quite park. I will caution, some of the space are small,so be aware if you have a large rig. Yes we will go back. We camped at Midway Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

As many others had said this park has mostly unlevel sites. But it is easy off and on I-20. We don't gamble but the casino is across the street. also a great view of the Mississippi river. If we need another overnight in the area we'll stay again. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Park is very nice and well kept. Although if you get a pull thru site they can be a little close. Right on the ICW watched many boats large and small go by. There were some long term campers but you don't get the feel as if there is. A little hard to find under the bridge, but it was easy in and easy out for us. The park was every pet friendly, but the state of Florida is NOT. Cannot go on the beaches, or many other places with your pets. But still we will back just know about Florida. We camped at Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Meaher State Park, Spanish Fort, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight. Glad we did. It was very clean and had level sites. Paved roads throughout. Although we didn't get to fish, it looked like a great place to. Later we heard from a local that there were alligators there. Didn't see any, but watch yourself and pets. When we are back in the area, we'll stay here again. We camped at Meaher State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Mineral Wells, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

At the last moment we change our plans because of weather, and went here. We are so glad we did. This state park is beautiful. And it has everything a state park needs. Hiking trails, bike trails, swimming, fishing, rock climbing(if you do that), kayaking, etc. Cell phone service was spoty. OTA tv very poor, but that was OK for us. Sites were level and on asphalt. When we stayed park was about 30% full. Lots of wildlife. We definitely will be back. We camped at Lake Mineral Wells State Park in a Travel Trailer.
