Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$50.00
Overall Rating:
We have stayed at this park many times over the years and it is always clean, the staff is always help full and courteous, the service is great. The park is easy to navigate even with our 37' 5th wheel. The access to the dog friendly beach and the Embarcadero is fantastic. We do nature and wildlife photography and there are many many beautiful targets. Hookups always working correctly. We will return many more times. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Morro Bay and Cayucos are very popular. Whale watching, otters, bird sanctuaries, low key to fine dining, kayaking, surfing, sandy beaches. Close to Montano De Oro, San Semion, rookeries, you name it all there.

We have stayed at this park many times before. The staff is always helpful. The park is always clean. The location is fantastic. Dog friendly beach with in easy walking distance. The addition of the embaraçado bridge is a welcome addition. Morro Bay and Caycous have much to offer. We will stay here again. The only reason not a 10 is due to the slow WIFI. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We found the staff to be VERY helpful and the park was VERY clean. Sites were not cramped and at all. The WIFI was best we have experienced at any park. Close to beach a bit of a hike over long sand dune but beautiful. Dog friendly which is a plus for us. I would give this a 10 except for the freeway can be noisy. We will return. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this park have been before and will return. While we (and our dogs) love the space end sites provide here if windy there is a little better wind protection closer to the office. it is a trade off if not high winds our site ruled. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Moss Landing KOA RV Park, we have stayed here several times, returned and will return again. Check in is easy the staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and level all good size some wider than others some longer than others, no pull throughs, all back in's but big rig friendly. Wi-Fi, do not count on it. What more could we want? We stayed in August. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Fifth Wheel.
Walk to dog friendly beaches that go to harbor with many birds and the otters, although to see them best to drive short distance to Moss Landing State Beach. Great restaurants and town across the street is the Whole Enchilada Restaurant and Market Place, at the harbor is Phil's fish Market Restaurant, and breakfast you cannot beat the Moss Landing Cafe. Cool grave yard to visit.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Thursday thru I think Sunday (better check) there is a small, clean and welcome sight, fast food grill stand. there is a dog friendly beach as this is a ocean front park. We will return. We camped at Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Scenic area with dramatic coastal landscaping, sunsets, whales, birds. All the activities you would expect in a beach community. The town of Charleston is quite charming typical harbor area, seafood, boats etc. Coos Bay is close, largets city in the area, and very handy.

Nehalem Bay State Park, Nehalem, Oregon
Date of Stay:
September, 2015 -
$28.00
Overall Rating:
The rangers and host are very friendly and helpful. Reserve America even has a picture of your site in the search. The dog friendly beach is right over the dune. There are horse corrals in one area. The beaches are spectacular as much of the northern Oregon Coast. Most sites have electric and water. No cable but I was supprised how well the air antenna worked. There is a dump station we used on way in and 5 days later on way out. We will return. We camped at Nehalem Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
BEACH, BEACH and Scenic BEACHES. All the water and fishing sports. We will return

Overall Rating:
Very clean staff very helpful. Overnight easy in and out. Hook ups good. Wi-Fi ok. It's a shame the drought has made the waterfall a trickle and the swimming hole is very low. A little water and this place would be jumping. Again the staff is very helpful and friendly. We camped at Grants Pass KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Eat and sleep we were just overnight. This park has charm and we will return.

Sac West RV Park and Campground, West Sacramento, California
Date of Stay:
September, 2015 -
$38.00
Overall Rating:
Good overnight campground. The pool was a little grungy for longer stays and the drought has really dried up the river behind. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed 2 times while traveling through both times overnight. Our 2nd stay was better than the first. Again it is fine for overnight. Easy on off the 5 freeway, set back so not to much freeway noise unless light sleeper. There is fuel near by.

Avila / Pismo Beach KOA, San Luis Obispo, California
Date of Stay:
May, 2015 -
$70.00
Overall Rating:
After reading reviews we were skeptical of staying at this RV park. However, it was close to our 2 families in the area and near Avila and Pismo Beaches that we love. It was great. The staff was friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable of the area. The sites were clean. Our site had plenty of room for our 36' fifth wheel and truck. There are many sites that are tight but doable. Everything worked: cable, Wi-Fi, water, electric, and sewer. Our site was not backed up to the 101 freeway and we did not notice much noise, when walking our dogs in that area it was noisier. The location was great with many activities in the area. We will stay here again. We camped at Avila / Pismo Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Hiking, beach, whales cave by the clothing optional beach, one dog party beach 3 miles, harbor, shops, golf, all within walking distance. Close by are Pismo beach views, the monarch butterfly sanctuary at Pismo State Park. Morro Bay is close and has great sea otters. There is so much to do and see just read about the areas. We love the Central Coast.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California
Date of Stay:
March, 2015 -
$35.00
Overall Rating:
Staff courteous and helpful. Sites were clean and spacious. Great views of Mt Whitney and the sunrises hitting the peaks were breathtaking. Huge dog run. Ideal location for site seeing. Our site the cable did not work; luckily we had enough cable to reach unoccupied neighbor site worked fine. We were gone most of the time enjoying the beautiful areas so not a big issue. We would stay here again. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
The town of Lone Pine eat at Seasons for dinner and Alabama Hills Cafe for Breakfast. The area was used for many old western movies and worthwhile. Mt Whitney is breathtaking and easy drive. Alabama Hills are very interesting rock formations. We went to Death Valley. So Highest peak in USA to Bad Water the lowest point in USA 1 day apart. About 2 HR drive to mammoth Lakes also very beautiful.
