Wasatch Mountain State Park, MIdway, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The views and location alone make this state park a not to miss when camping in Heber Valley/Midway, UT. We camped in a 36 foot fifth wheel and noticed when comparing the campsite links on Reserve America to what we know are true length to be, there were major discrepancies. Be certain that you add several extra feet to what your RV length requirements may be to avoid any site issues. The campground is narrow and many sites are very far from level. Excellent 30/50amp and beautiful hiking throughout the area. AT&T Cell phone reception was very weak in the campsite, but stronger in town. We would stay here again. We camped at Wasatch Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Mountain Valley RV resort is simply a glorified parking lot. Superb customer service, beautiful public bathrooms/laundry facilities and everything is situated on concrete. The park is by no means free of 18 wheeler traffic noise and the views could be much better considering the beautiful area of Heber City. Each site is level, situated on concrete and has pristine sod but you are packed in like sardines. For us, this is not camping and there is no where to walk or hike with your dog other than the park's enclosed dog area. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park), Hatch, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We love the peaceful setting and ease of access to the Provo River from River's Edge RV. Extremely helpful and friendly staff provided us with excellent service throughout our month long stay. Very clean restrooms & laundry facilities are ajcent to a well outfitted recreation room. Would happily visit again despite the park being a bit run down from previous years past. Sites are level and the wifi was fair. We camped at The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Park City RV Resort, Park City, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The previous comments are accurate- Park City RV Resort is not a resort but a plain Jane campground with a fancy upstair entrance. The location is fantastic and the sites are level with solid 50amp and wi-fi. Friendly staff and long term residents live on the lower level. Beautiful access to the river and miles and miles of hiking and biking right out the back. Super dog friendly rv park that stresses that only good dogs are welcomed! We camped here for 2 weeks in a 37 ft 5th wheel in the middle level and we look forward to a return visit. We camped at Park City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Utah Lake State Park, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Utah Lake State Park offers its RV and camping guests clean, spacious campsites within a picturesque setting of high mountains and farmland. The park is just 3 miles from downtown but be aware that the front gates close and lock at 10pm each night. The only quirk about the grass on the property is that the entire campground is peppered with goat-head thorns. We camped for 2 weeks with two dogs and enjoyed our stay in a pull through site. No sewer sites and good quality 30 amp. For the area, this is the best gig in town for the price. We camped at Utah Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The proximity to local attractions in the area and the friendly staff make Sandcreek RV a good spot to park the trailer or set up camp in one of the tent sites or cute little cabin rental. Beautiful views of red rock cliffs surround the back of the park. Good Wi-Fi, AT&T service. We camped at Sandcreek RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

McArthur's Temple View RV Resort, St George, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We appreciated the park's friendly staff, clean facilities and level, concrete RV sites. Despite being so close to town and near the I-15, we found the park to be quiet throughout the day and into the night. Wonderful pool and laundry amenities were a bonus. In addition, the front of the park is a giant field where dogs can chase the ball and do their business. St. George is a lovely town that is a not to miss. We parked here in a 36ft. 5th wheel with 2 dogs and we look forward to a longer return visit. We camped at McArthur's Temple View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverpark RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stop in for a day, a week or a month, Riverplace RV is a little slice of heaven located right on the Rouge River! The park is tight and there is no dog run, but it is beautifully manicured and run by wonderful couple who are very personable and professional. We stayed here for one week in a river site with our two dogs. The nights were peaceful and the few longterm RV sites were neat and orderly. Lots of grass and beautiful roses decorate the grounds. I fly fished for Steelhead almost everyday with great success! We look forward to our next visit! We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Crater Lake and Diamond Lake are wonderful if the season is right! Be sure they are open before you make the drive! And if you mountain bike or hike, Cathedral Hills is a not to miss! My dogs loved the off leash trails amongst the Madrone Trees as much as I did.

Capitol West RV & MH Park, West Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We came in for a short stay on a weekend with our 37 ft. 5th wheel and two small dogs. Knowing the park office was closed for the weekends, we called ahead and nice young lady took our info and explained the do-it-yourself check in system that was set up at the office. Upon arrival we noticed how close to town the park was and the level, paved aisle-ways of each row. Not a shred of grass in sight or a dog run, the pups would have to "ruff" it on the gravel rocks for a few days. The park itself was simple in its layout and live-in residents seemed friendly. Sights were level, easy alignment to back into, and RVs are parked on packed gravel with updated concrete patios. The traffic noise in the surrounding area was considerable but again, we were here on a weekend. This was a decent stop for a quick business trip. We camped at Capitol West RV & MH Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Diamond Lake RV park is a beautiful location for any length getaway. The sites are well-maintained and most are on dirt or gravel. There are no concrete pads to park on but a number of the sites offer a concrete patio, and each site offers a picnic table and fire ring. Big rig sites are easily accessible with solid 50 amp. Although the park "offers" Wi-Fi, don't count on the service being fast enough to load any Internet page. The entire park is clean and there are many trail heads that spur from the park itself and offer excellent off leash opportunities for the dogs. The owners of the park are often on site and are just as friendly as the park managers. Even on a holiday weekend, the park is a peaceful and enjoyable place to be. Just walk across the street to the pizzeria and ice cream or launch your boat for fishing or kayaking opportunities. An excellent hub to Crater Lake, we look forward to visiting this park each year. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails - Whalers Rest RV Park, South Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Being that we are thousand trails members, there was no charge to stay at this park. We are extremely disappointed with this Thousand Trails in particular as the district manager is at this office and still allows for dangerous circumstances to occur. There is a hole in the fence where an adjoining neighbors dog routinely slips underneath and will attack campers and their pets. We alerted the manager and nothing was done about this. We were told, "there's nothing we can do" so every day I had to walk with my and stick and my stun gun just to feel somewhat safe. As always, the sites are not level. All are comprised of unmaintained gravel, and it is nearly impossible to find a site that is not taken by an annual or has been converted to a rental cabin. There is a frisbee golf course and a dog run near the south side of the park. There is decent beach access but it is necessary to walk across the busy HWY 101 as there is no traffic signal or crosswalk for pedestrians. Threats of a $15 fine are clearly posted throughout the park if you don't clean up after your dog, yet every dog mitt station is either empty or has been filled with little flimsy sandwich bags. It's really a disappointment how much this park has gone downhill. Please be aware for your safety of the loose dog up near the frisbee golf course- he is a long-haired black and white Australian Shepherd mix and is very aggressive. This is a lawsuit/accident waiting to happen. The other disturbing factor we found in the park was that the manager is allowing for campers to advertise business services such as massage and car washing from their campsite. Who knows if these people even have accreditation or not, but again, another lawsuit waiting to happen. It was not a good feeling of safety or security being at this park. I wish some person had honestly written a review as a warning prior to my arrival. We camped here in a 37 foot fifth wheel and will not return again. We camped at Thousand Trails - Whalers Rest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cold Springs Resort, Camp Sherman, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Cold Springs Resort Campground is bar none, the epitome of peaceful camping. Small and secluded from the main road but located right on the mighty Metolius River. Camp Sherman, OR is just a 14 mile jaunt from Sisters, OR, but not nearly as well known. Most folks don't realize that Camp Sherman is not a camp, but a tiny town. Visit this pristine park and you will be stepping back in time with acres of manicured green grass, epic fly fishing, hiking and cycling opportunities and the best resident managers on Earth! It is within walking distance to everything you need for all your outdoor activities, and welcoming enough to make you want to stay all year long. We camped here in a 37 foot 5th wheel with two dogs for 12 nights and, honestly, did not want to leave. All sites on the stream are electric and water only and on full grass. The full hookup sites are as spacious and offer large grass coverage as well but are back-ins on level, gravel driveways. There is a small playground and river front cabins to suit all your vacation needs. Make a plan to visit this little gem of a resort and discover a whole lot of Camp Sherman charm. We camped at Cold Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Moon Mountain RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Moon Mountain RV Resort is a tidy little stop, but extremely tight for a large RV to maneuver through. The staff answers questions via email very quickly, and was polite in person. This RV resort feels more like a sardine can as the spaces are extremely close together and situated on a steep, 4%+ incline of asphalt- literally some of the sites do not have enough space to place two patio chairs outside of the front door. All of the pads are lined with loose rocks and difficult to walk on, especially for those that have four-legged friends with them. There is an area of grass up behind the entry drive where you can walk the dogs for bathroom needs, other than that, there is no place for exercise. The park is noisy as it is adjacent to the freeway. We stayed here in 37 foot RV and it was very difficult to maneuver into our site. We will not stay here again. We camped at Moon Mountain RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Although hook up rates have gone up $10 since last year, Emigrant Lake is a treasure of a park in Ashland, Oregon! Boasting beautiful and spacious full hook up RV sites, shaded grassy tent sites, a summer water park, a clean day use Pavilion with a new playground and endless boating, fishing and water activities all within 6 miles of downtown. Why would you want to stay anywhere else? We enjoyed our 10 day visit with two dogs and a 37 ft. RV. Each RV site had its own table, fire ring, new sewer connections, and level asphalt pads. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

JGW RV Park was a very relaxing, clean and pet friendly park to stay at while in the Redding area. Just 5 miles to town, this park offers ease of entrance into the many, well spaced and level asphalt sites. The picnic tables are concrete, thus, remain in the location where they have been placed. The back of the park looks like a high end resort with perfectly manicured grass and tall, sprawling Oak trees for shade. Our dogs loved being able to run here and jump directly in the river when they got too hot! Incredible birding and otter watching awaits the patient camper. There is fishing out the back of the park and many sites that overlook the river that are the furthest away from the noise of the I-5 freeway. We couldn't have been more pleased with our week long stay and will enjoy returning again in the future. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
