We arrived on a Sunday afternoon we were fortunate to get a lakefront spot and were not disappointed that the lake was beautiful. What was unfortunate was the condition of the beachfront in camp and the campsite itself which had trash strewn everywhere from previous campers. Even in our fire ring someone had left there eggshells from a breakfast cooked outdoors. It's amazing the way some people treat such a treasure. We camped at Lake Carl Blackwell Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this park. The location couldn't have been better. Tucked away in the valley it was nice and quiet but still close enough to the amenities (shops, restaurants, etc...) in the town of Custer and the beautiful natural areas surrounding it. The staff was great handling both a last minute reservation and our car rental. The amenities of the park were everything we needed and we would stay here again. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Motorhome.
