Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia
Date of Stay:
September, 2018 -
$39.00
Overall Rating:
Cable is almost so snowy, use the services are at entrance area. If you pull forward so as to not disconnect tow then you better have an extremely long septic and water hose. Beware wet weather. Except for parking area it is dirt. Bottom line - a relatively premium price for little quality. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground, Healdsburg, California
Date of Stay:
July, 2018 -
$50.00
Overall Rating:
Positive : located on the Russian River in beautiful Alexander Valley. Negatives : unreliable power. Entire site lost power several times during our 4 day stay. Snarky manager did not mention discounts until we told her the web site offered aaa discount. Said she was "protecting the brand by increasing $$ charged"!?!? Snarky manager told us our site 7 was 50 amp. Then, when we arrived, told us site 6 was our site and it was 30 amp. Plug was 30 amp but breaker was only 20 amp. Really narrow sites. Didn't use firepit for fear of setting side by side rigs on fire. Really narrow turns. Recommendation : other rv parks are close by and far better. We camped at Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort , Felton, California
Date of Stay:
September, 2012 -
$55.00
Overall Rating:
Well run and exceptionally clean park. Towering redwoods with great access to Henry Cowell SP, Santa Cruz etc. Despite clear warnings about poor WiFi we found the WiFi to be exceptional perhaps because our site (45) was directly below an antenna. Great cable TV with lots of unadvertised digital channels. Excellent clubhouse with deck overlooking the river. Lots of kid and adult activities. A pool would be an excellent addition though. We will most definitely return. We camped at Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lakehead Campground and RV Park, Lakehead, California
Date of Stay:
August, 2012 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
Very nice but rough park. Lack of 50 A service was a bit of surprise though. Good Wi-Fi and great very refreshing and clean pool. Walk/bike to lake. We were in a 36 ft motor home and egress was tight but doable. Very large site and well sited with good privacy. Nice and quiet as well. Owner/managers are great people: friendly and very helpful. We camped at Lakehead Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very well located for access to Olympia NP and Victoria. Pull through sites very big rig friendly but no fire pits. Recently renovated with nice grass and very nice hookups. Wi-Fi is so-so. Single men's shower for entire park! If you have low slide outs watch out for retainer walls! We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington
Date of Stay:

$60.00
Overall Rating:
OK as a quick stopover but beware...most unclean pool i'v ever senn in a public place. Reeked of chlorine and was so murky you could not see your hand a foot below water. Could not believe adults and children would swim in that mess. Wi-Fi is excellent! We camped at Spokane KOA in a Motorhome.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana
Date of Stay:
August, 2012 -
$60.00
Overall Rating:
Excellent location for GNP and Waterton. Great swimming pool. Reason for lower rating is. 1) The electrical service is very hot: readings surging as high as 135 V. If you have a smart power system it will shutdown power and mine did so several times a day every day. 2) Wi-Fi is extremely poor. Still a very nicely located and beautiful sited KOA. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Massacre Rocks State Park, American Falls, Idaho

Overall Rating:
Exceptional natural beauty with beautiful sites and great service. This State park sits on the river and is part of the original Oregon/California Trails. Register Rock is within 5 miles and represents a great opportunity to learn a little history about the 'taming' of the west. We camped at Massacre Rocks State Park in a Motorhome.

Salinas / Monterey KOA, Prunedale, California
Date of Stay:
July, 2012 -
$60.00
Overall Rating:
This is quite possibly the worst KOA I have camped in. I booked a site for my 36 ft motorhome with slide outs, well over a month prior to showing up. I got a site that barely fit and could not open slide outs at all. Ingress and egress was very dicey despite being told it was a pull through. Sewer hookup was not secure and the water bib constantly dripped. The entire site was one big piece of asphalt right next to freeway, despite being in very pretty country. Unless you are in dire need, I'd avoid this KOA. We camped at Salinas / Monterey KOA in a Motorhome.

Nicely central location for both San Diego, Carlsbad, etc. Nicely landscaped but spaces are a bit tight. Lots of toads sticking out in the road so navigate carefully. We camped at Escondido RV Resort in a Motorhome.
