Lookout Mountain / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Park had very spacious sites. You weren't packed in and right on top of your neighbor. Sites were level. We had a back in site that was easy to back in to. We had a good sized deck which was nice to put our chairs on. It was very quiet and relaxing. Staff was friendly, laundry facilities were good-including an iron and full sized ironing board. The playground was in back of us. It was always busy but not annoying. Kids were just having fun. We would stay here again when we are in the area. We camped at Lookout Mountain / Chattanooga West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were very tight. Due to construction to add new facilities, there was no dog park. The construction crew cut the cable. For the five days we were there we had no cable We inquired several times as to when it would be repaired and received nasty responses from staff. When we asked what we were paying $70.00 a night for, one clerk's response was "not cable" and then laughed. We asked another worker the following day and he snapped at us and said he was just a workamper and we had to talk to the office. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. Not once did anybody apologize for the inconvenience or offer some kind of refund or discount for a future stay. If I'm paying $70.00 a night I expect more amenities and more courtesy. It was very disappointing. We left a day earlier than planned and will not stay there again. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The concrete pad at our site was broken in several large pieces due to tree roots. It was too unlevel to sit outside comfortably. We did not notice it until after we unhitched our trailer and started setting things up. We felt that staff should have been aware of the broken concrete at that site and, since we were staying for two weeks, put us in a better site. We do not understand why when we stay one and two weeks at places we seem to get the worst sites. Aside from the broken slab, it was a nice park. The sites were small but level. There was a good amount of grass. Laundry facilities were very nice. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Green River KOA, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Campsite was large and shady. There was room between you and your neighbor's site; we weren't crammed in. Campground was all grass which was great for walking our dog. There was a cow pasture across the way and you could hear the cows mooing. It was enjoyable to sit outside at night and listen to them. We would stay at this park again if we're in the area. We camped at Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Moab KOA, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Very dusty. Dust blew everywhere. There was no grass at all. Made it hard for walking our dog. Our site had no shade. When asked about moving to a site with shade, we were told that our unit was too big. However there were larger campers than ours in the shady spots. No laundry facilities. No pool - they were just building one at the time we were there. Staff was friendly enough and restrooms were clean. Convenient to downtown and had a nice view of the mountains. We camped at Moab KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Park was pricey for just water, electric, and sewer. There was no cable. Internet was slow; phone and tv reception were poor. Area was all gravel. Restrooms were very clean. Dryers put out very little heat. It was convenient to Mesa Verde National Park. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is in a very old, run down, industrial part of the city. However, it is a nice campground with a marina behind it. We enjoyed watching the boats come and go. Campground also had shuttle service to downtown but we used Lyft Services. Drivers were very nice, picked you up whenever you wanted. Campground also had a bar and grill with friendly staff. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campgrounds, 3mi. to town and battlegrounds. Lots to do in the area. Sites are all level and good drainage in rain. Lots of activities on weekends in the park, very busy on weekends. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of shade trees. Will stay here again if in area. The only reason we did not rate it a 10 is because cable reception was marginal and we were given the smallest site in the park. I think as all the others were quite large. Friendly helpful staff, there seemed to be staff available 24/7 to handle any problems as I saw staff cleaning up water in the bathrooms after midnight one evening. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Campground, Schellsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 4 nites to see the area. Enjoyed the town of Buford and the covered bridge tour. The campground is more for an overnight stop. Sites are level and the pool looked clean. There are 2 levels to the grounds. The lower level is large and has shade around the outside sites, weekend is busy but we were the only ones in the park by Sunday nite. There is no cable TV, Wi-Fi or TV ant. reception. There are no planned activities and the park is in need of undating. Bathroms were fairly clean, but in need of repair. Office is open around mid morning and in the afternoon for a while if they don't have something else to do. Might stay again, but only as an overnight stop. We camped at Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 nights, sites are level gravel as are the roads. Not much for kids to do. Staff is helpful. There are no shaded sites, not great in the summer months. Stopped here because it is fairly close to Mt Airy and Old Salem. PA rate was only good for first night as the second was Friday, a weekend night. It is a place to stop is about all I can say, would look for another campground next time in the area. You will hear noise from the interstate, if that bothers you. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Motorhome.
