Blackwoods Campground (NPS Campground), Acadia National Park, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a typical National Park campground. The staff were very helpful under some temporarily trying circumstances. The obvious advantage is that you are walking distance to beautiful ocean views and great hiking trails. The down side is the showers are a mile away and are a commercial operation. There were a bit rustic and the cleanliness was varied. The floors or the bathrooms in the campground were very wet. The site was a pull though and pretty private. Acadia is an amazing park and this campground was a good experience. Just be aware that you are roughing it a bit in exchange for excellent location. We camped at Blackwoods Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites, Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park mainly has RVs that are permanently parked but were unoccupied while we were there. There was cable TV but it was disconnected and could not be used. The laundry had no hot water, so we were not able to use the laundry and did not use the showers. The aesthetics were terrible. This looks like someone added a makeshift park to their backyard. I would have pulled out but it had been a long day and did not know of any other local options. This sits at the end of a road in a neighborhood. I would not stay here again and would not recommend. We camped at Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

New York City North / Newburgh KOA, Plattekill, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park was especially crowded. The staff tried hard to keep up but there were so many people they were overwhelmed. The water system failed to work in the morning. We had no water at our site. The bathrooms were non functional due to the lack of water. I am sure this was a one time event but it obviously impacted our impression. Our site was steeper than usual. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very clean and has many good services. The check in was fast and efficient. Our site was level and had good spacing. The bathroom and showers were great. Each shower is in a separate room with a toilet and sink in addition to the shower. The wi-fi worked fine. The disc golf course is excellent and a real surprise. I also appreciated the multiple signs on the road leading to the park. There is an excellent camp store and a state park with bike trails next door. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great RV Park. The sites are large, level, and spotless. The restrooms are immaculate. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay great. Although we did not use the other recreational facilities here, there are lots of things to do. They even have curb side trash collection. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Likely Place RV & Golf Resort, Likely, California

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We had so much fun staying at this park. The sites are a bit rustic but the bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. The golf course is challenging but a good bargain. We also took advantage of the hiking. This is a very dog friendly park and a good spot to meet with a group of friends. The nights are quiet and filled with great stargazing. We camped at Likely Place RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
