Ely KOA, Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If you are coming or going from Reno, that stretch of HWY-50 is a long ride. Ely is the perfect place to stop for the night and this KOA is a great place to stay. Gravel, not windy when we were there, easy pull-thrus, easy hook-ups, and right on the highway, just down from the major fuel stations. Good WiFi and Cable TV. Friendly, helpful staff and just outside of old Ely town. Highly recommended. We camped at Ely KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is not anywhere near I-25. You have to drive through a good deal of downtown Ft. Collins to get there. It's about 8-10 miles off the freeway. It is a nice family park, with lakefront access and water craft rentals. Definitely a destination resort. Space is ample, featuring pull-through sites easy access. WiFi was strong and average speed. Cable was good. I think We would look for something closer to I-25 when traveling through again. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Clio's Rivers Edge RV Park, Clio, California

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Cleanest RV Park we've ever seen. Beautiful sites although some of the sites across from the "adult play area" are kind of tight. No Wi-Fi at the sites but there is a hot spot at the laundry. Excellent cable service. Friendly helpful staff. Shopping and great small park and lake in Graeagle (4 miles). Feather river runs through the RV Park with a few sites for smaller rigs on the banks. Easy access to water for fishing and swimming. Dog friendly with large dog run which is also as clean as the park. We camped at Clio's Rivers Edge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA , Pescadero, California

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

No cell phone access. WiFi is not available at the sites unless you are near the general store (Seascape village 19 through 31). Cable TV is weak for local stations (couldn't get CBS at all) but OK for cable channels. Seascape Village has very nicely separated sites. Coast Village is pretty nice too (all back-ins). Whale North & South are pull-throughs and too close to the horse stables (smelly). Very noisy family park on the weekends. We camped at Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Junction KOA, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Good Average KOA. Pull-Through sites have easy access. Not a lot of privacy as there is little foliage between sites. Park is clean with hard gravel sites. WiFi & Cable TV worked just fine. There is a major supermarket just down the road. Only downside is that it is quite a ways off of I-70 so it's a bit out of the way for an over night. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
