Quileute Oceanside Resort, La Push, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful sandy beach (1st beach) with impressive drift wood and lots of offshore rocks. Staff was very friendly/helpful. Large interior roads made maneuvering a 45' motor-home easy. Our site was looking out over the school grounds towards James Island and just steps away from the beach. We camped at Quileute Oceanside Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The entry into the harbor from the Pacific is quite narrow and dangerous during bad weather. Three Coast Guard men died trying to assist a sailboat in 1997. Rialto beach is just on the other side of the river breakwater but you have to drive 10 miles to Mora campground to get there.

Salt Creek Recreation Area, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay in a long pull-through site (36) overlooking the Strait. The lower terrace is first come, first served. The second and third terraces and the handful of pull-throughs can be reserved. Maneuvering a 45' motorhome is tight in some areas of the park. Nice variety of beaches (tide pools, sand) just a few steps away. The drive-through WW2 bunker is impressive. We continued on Hwy 112 west - slow going for a large MH. We camped at Salt Creek Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Whistlers Campground (Parks Canada), Jasper National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground mostly in the woods. Interior roads are rough and tight for large rigs. Biggest concern is the number of dead pine trees caused by the pine beetle. About 40% of the trees in the park are pine trees and most of them are dead or dying. Campers seem oblivious to dangers of camping under dead trees. Any wind gust can bring down large branches. Fires are prohibited but any accidental spark could create an inferno in the park. There is only one exit.... We camped at Whistlers Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort, Sisters, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Nice new showers. Grounds were manicured. Nice view of the pond. Two bald eagles visited regularly in the evening looking for fish. The ducks did not seem too worried. Park was only a quarter full during the week. Good Internet. The sites north of the pond are close to the road and can get noisy. We'll be back. We camped at Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for two days based on the reviews here. Nice and clean. Some areas are tight for a 45' motorhome but the pull-through sites work. Internet is slow at times. This is one of the few parks in CA that allow washing of motorhome and cars by owners. Very much appreciated. Our coach needed it after a run down I-5 in bad weather. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

LVM Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Very nicely landscaped. Gated security. Premium sites are spacious. Build-outs (grill, tables, fireplaces) vary by site. Only real complaint is the lack of reliable internet. The current Tengo service is abysmal. We camped at LVM Resort in a Motorhome.

Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts), Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very well kept park with friendly staff and owners. Cost was for a premium site but not ocean view. Too foggy to see the water anyway. Enjoyed out stay and will be back. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

Port of Newport RV Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with many pull through sites. Sites are somewhat narrow, not much room to sit out. 50A service without any issues. We had good internet connections but the net would slow down in the evening. Very friendly staff. Somewhat tight but manageable for 45' bus. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.
