Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground, that has about a dozen sites that are not full timers. The sites are spacious, the full time RV's are all very nice and modern. Beautiful grassed areas everywhere, nice fenced dog run. Very clean and very quiet. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Motel 6 RV Park (formerly Country Hearth Inn & RV Park), Saint Robert, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was exactly what I was expecting and what I wanted. In the middle of St Robert, right off Highway 44. Concrete roads, gravel pad with 50 amp water and sewer. No cable but good over the air reception. We camped at Motel 6 RV Park (formerly Country Hearth Inn & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

$65 is very excessive for October, with lots of empty sites. We paid $10 extra for a deluxe site with concrete patio and deluxe seats. Park was clean and it looks like in the summer it's a good choice for families. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

OK for an overnight stay. Pick a site and go into Cabelas to pay at the check out. It rained hard when we stayed and the crushed rock and dirt become very muddy. WiFi was down and did not work. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Furnace Creek (NPS Campground), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

It's in the middle of everything. Next door to the visitors center. When we arrived at 3 PM there were no other RV's only a few tents. We were able to choose our own site, and we chose to pay at the visitors center, but you can also use they're honesty box. Our back concrete pad was about 120' long!! With FHU. We went touring the amazing the park and returned about 7 PM, and the site was fairly busy. There are no lights in the park or anywhere in the surrounding area, which meant watching the night sky was incredible. The sky was just full of millions of stars! Great park, would definitely stay here again. It is the best park in the area with brand new concrete and brick showers and toilets. We camped at Furnace Creek (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

As with all KOA RV parks this year, this was terrible value for money. This is basically a dirt and crushed rock lunar landscape throughout the park and there is no definition between the interior roads, RV sites, and every area inside the park. When it rains, and it did constantly during our overnight stay, the rainwater doesn't drain through the rock base. Rather it sits on top and the dirt surface turns to mud. That meant every time we stepped into our RV or car our shoes were caked in mud. The WiFi didn't automatically connect, so they sent a member of staff, who couldn't work it out. but the signal bar was so low it didn't matter. The cable was like snow, the same staff member tried to fix that too, without success. He said it's usually a bit better than that! Like not heavy blizzard snow picture, just regular snow picture. Train and highway noise. I would never stay here again, their mall would be better, at least its tarmac. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Heyburn Riverside RV Park, Heyburn, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is owned by the city. It is situated in the town, but a rural park on the Snake River, which you can walk along from the park. It is incredible value at $25. Extremely long pull through's, with additional space to park 2-3 cars/trucks. Wide grass lawns separate each site. Wide entry roads and easy access, a mile off the interstate. We camped at Heyburn Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deerwood RV Park, Eugene, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park, set out around a large lawned park area. Office staff were very good. Our site was concrete with full hook ups. There were some full timers, but all the RV's were in good condition. We liked it, and would definitely return. We camped at Deerwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, Troutdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

All sites are 60' long, with adjacent parking spot big enough for a full size crew. Roads are wide and blacktop, all RV sites are concrete and level with FHU, and are approx 22' total width. Wifi is free and decent. AT&T 2-3 BARS/LTE giving 35 MB using Hotspot. Some previous reviews complain about full timers, which I usually don't like. But all the RVs in this RV park are modern, very nice or like new. Some other reviews complained about difficult approach from 84, that has been remedied with a new entrance and directions on their website from exit 16 from 84. This route is easy and no problems with our 43' A class plus tow. This RV park is walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and on Historic Route 30 for all the tourist spots without having to deal with busy Portland traffic congestion. Before booking and staying at the park, I tried for over a week to book a site at another RV Park. It took several calls a day for 8 days before someone answered the phone, and then told me they were fully booked with permanent campers for October. It is a few miles from Sandy Riverfront RV Park, so I drove there and took a look around their campground. I am so glad they were full and I stayed at Sandy Riverfront, because this campground is 1000% better and nicer. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The only negative was the 20 miles to Albuquerque. The casino has good food. But the local green chill burger is legendary and incredible. It's so popular, allow 40 minutes wait. The line is a constant 20 people waiting for the freshly prepared burgers!
