Thomson Causeway (COE), Thomson, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, lovely park on the shores of the Mississippi River. Interior roads were a bit narrow, and our site was a SLIGHT bit hard to back into, but not a problem. Liked the location and the number of hiking & biking trails. I would make this campground a destination stay. We camped at Thomson Causeway (COE) in a Fifth Wheel.

Adrian Municipal Park, Adrian, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. I can't remember if I received a PA discount or not. As previously mentioned, this is a circular park, as such that the sites are pie shaped, making the opening to the drive a bit narrow. Campers on each side were locals, who spent summer weekends in the park. If all our trucks parked just right, getting in and out was a minor issue. Municipal swimming pool was a block away and an excellent way to spend a 90 degree evening. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the CG. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Park & Kamp , Murdo, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight park. Close to I80 and restaurants. You have to check in at front desk of the American Hotel. Park is located 1 block downhill, south, of motel. All spaces are pull thru's, including larger spaces on top of hill on asphalt. We camped at American RV Park & Kamp in a Fifth Wheel.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely laid out park, level gravel sites, mostly all drive thru's. Good power, great hospitality. When you exit I-80 and head south, DO NOT take the first left turn, that is a service road. Take a left at the 2nd stop light onto County Road East 80. I would like to return and stay longer at this campground, as we found the drive north through the sand hills a most interesting geological phenomena, with very few towns and villages. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Salida / Mt. Shavano KOA, Poncha Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are terraced, can make maneuvering your rig challenging. Rolled 5th wheel hitch back to make maneuvering easier. Occasional traffic noise from US 50, wasn't bothersome to us. Had stable power while here. Temps were about 10 degrees cooler than along the Arkansas River valley. Had walking trails leading from campground. Only saw two run down full time campers in CG. Would camp here again. We camped at Salida / Mt. Shavano KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Deerfield Beach Campground, Deerfield, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

A rural campground. Lots are 25 ft wide & fairly level. A combination of gravel & grass sites. Didn't use bathroom or showers. Had a Plains thunderstorm go through at 2AM. Constant lightening, rain & hail combined with 60 to 80 mph winds. Both my wife & I thought the trailer was going to roll over. We knew no tree would fall on us as there were'nt any to knock the wind down. Turned out to be minimal damage to CG & trailers. It was an acceptable 1 night stand. We camped at Deerfield Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Hilly Haven Campground, Cascade, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Driveway in has you wondering where you will end up; road looks as though it washes out occasionally. There were two nights of heavy rain and grass sites were soft and became muddy. Electric dropped to below 110 volts, which is not good for onboard electrical/electronics.

Campground is remote and quiet. But also lies low. Our site happened to be in a low area of the campground. Marsh was across the road. Believe it or not, there were NO mosquitoes, which was great! We camped at Hilly Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beantown Campground, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good directions to park. Campground is clean and well maintained. I felt the price vs. value ratio was a bit high. I can understand location plays a factor in those decisions. We camped at Beantown Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Munising Tourist Park Campground, Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Spent two nights in early June in a waterfront lot. Had to use the furnace one night. West restroom/showers were clean, but could have used a heater in them. East restroom/shower building has heated floors, but didn't use this facility. Very nice campground, will recommend and stay here again. Dickens RV Park, Moncure, North Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. We stayed for 3 nights. Owner & campground host reached out to make our stay enjoyable. Camped during a 3 day raining weekend. Glad the campground was on high ground. Grounds were a little soft, but had plenty of gravel to reduce the amount of mud. Directions given are accurate to those who are new to the area. I would stay here again. We camped at Dickens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice campground. The grounds are nicely maintained. The laundry, rest rooms and showers are in excellent condition and kept clean. Friendly staff. Didn't find the internet to be slow. Conveniently located to the National Forest Springs and wildlife areas. We will definitely camp here again. We camped at Wandering Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
