Pagosa Springs RV Park, Cabins & ATV Rentals, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Owner has combined this park and Blanco RV Park. Not all spaces are grassy. Our slot was next to the creek and only the rocky (backside) of our motor home had grass. Camp sites are gravel and no shade. Bath house was clean and roomy. This park is located about 10 miles south of Pagosa, but is a quick commute into town. We camped at Pagosa Springs RV Park, Cabins & ATV Rentals in a Motorhome.

Lightner Creek Campground, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Camping sights are gravel and are very close together with some shade. Very few camp sites have 50 amp electrical service so the park can only accommodate few big rigs. As the park is in a canyon, there is very little noise from the roadway. It also makes for very poor cell service (Verizon), internet, satilite and OTA television reception. The camp "hot spot" is next to the office, but doen't expect much better capability. We camped at Lightner Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Navajo Lake State Park, Pine Main Campground, Navajo Dam, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park has visitor center and entry portals, but they don't appear to be manned on weekends. Also the campground has a Camp Host but wasn't available during our stay and hadn't been seen by others in the park. As a matter of fact, since we were across from the host, we has several people come over to inquire about assistance. The park is relatively clean, with the exception of the Camp Host's spot. Most slots are on the smaller side and either won't accommodate larger motor Homes, or don't have full hookups. We probably won't camp here again. We camped at Navajo Lake State Park, Pine Main Campground in a Motorhome.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed several days on the Resort side since that was the only space available, and we had to move slots after 3 days. While our site is listed as a pull through, the exit is blocked by boulders (R48). The park is nice, clean and located on the North side of Moab which makes for easy commute to Arches and Canyonlands. The two sides aren't well delineated and it seems odd (silly) that they have separate privelages. While the park is nice, it's rather pricey. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Pleasant Valley RV Park of Howard, Howard, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located about 10-12 miles SE of Salida but easy to find. Park is located across Arkansas river away from the main highway and the sounds of the river mask most highway noise. Good fishing is available right outside your door! Not much to do around the immediate vicinity, but good location if you're willing to drive a few miles or you want a quite restful location. Most campsites have grassy areas and are shady, and have concrete pad with picnic table. Owners/park managers very friendly and hosted Labor Day barbeque the weekend we were there. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! We camped at Pleasant Valley RV Park of Howard in a Motorhome.

Elkhorn RV Resort, Lake City, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park isn't fancy and doesn't have any fancy amenities, but it is off the main drag, clean and well kept, and the owners and camp hosts are very friendly. Owners are very concerned about well being of campers and keeps tabs when folks heading off 4 wheeling to make sure they get back ok. We've stayed here twice and it's a been a pleasure. We camped at Elkhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Golden Eagle RV Park, Eagle Nest, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Park staff helpful and friendly. RV spaces are somewhat narrow, gravel, and not very level. We had to use substantial blocking to level our RV. There is also minimal shade in most of the park. Wi-Fi reception was fair. While the park had many dog visitors and claims to be dog friendly, we were asked to walk the dog outside of the park area. The park provides a continental breakfast each morning free of charge. We camped at Golden Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red River RV Park, Red River, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Owners/operators are very friendly and helpful. Park is within walking distance to town and right off of highway which can be noisy during the day, but quiets down at night. Not fancy, but the area is level, and bathrooms were clean. The best part is the fishing right out the door of your RV in the stream that runs along the park edge. Make sure your plans are firm, the $50 deposit is non-refundable. Wi-Fi is spotty at times. We camped at Red River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Balloon View Homes & RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I called to make a reservation, however, the owner refused to make one for me and sarcastically told me I didn't need one unless I needed 27 spaces. On our day of arrival, we were told they were full due to a local event. The owner was rude and if it were not for a cancellation, we would have been out of luck. Park is run down and filled with less than desirable long term tenants. We will never stay here again! We camped at Balloon View Homes & RV Park in a Motorhome.

La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Park is well maintained and park staff friendly. The park provides curbside trash pick up daily, and while their are only 3 showers, they are updated and cleaned. The problem is that the showers are cleaned between 8-9 AM, when I wanted to take a shower so I had to wait on a couple on instances. The park location is best if your trip plans are centered around the Lake Travis area and don't plan to travel into Austin often. Commute times into the downtown area are anywhere from 40-90+ minutes depending on the time of day. If the location of the park was closer to town, I would have rated the park higher. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Ouray KOA, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located a few miles north of Ouray and off the main highway cutting down on noise! Park is very green (grass) and well maintained. Our site was about 70% grass although not as level as we would like; it took us about 20 minutes and moving our RV 3 times to find an acceptable spot. The "lovely stream" referred to on the web site is actually an irrigation ditch, but did sound nice. The park staff was nice and accommodating. The showers are dated and in need of upgrades, they also weren't the cleanest I've seen. We camped at Ouray KOA in a Motorhome.

Durango KOA, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Park is very near main thoroughfare to Durango, and is relatively noisy. Although there are some trees, most of them aren't large enough to provide any useful shade at camp site where we were located. We were assigned slot #31, and while it is listed as a pull through, it would be very difficult to to accomplish if adjacent slots are filled. Tow parking was awkward at best, however adequate for our overnight stay. We camped at Durango KOA in a Motorhome.

Red River RV Park, Red River, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Office/management staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is very small and camp sights are fairly narrow with very little shading. The park is next to the main road through town, and is very noisy during the daytime, however, it does quite down overnight. Our cable box didn't work during our stay and the WiFi was adequate. We did not use the restrooms or showers. There is a $2 per person charge for showers. We camped at Red River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well maintained park with great access to 10 miles of biking tails and access to downtown San Antonio along Riverwalk. The city bus also picks up and drops off in front of park without having to fight downtown traffic and hunt for parking. Surrounding city area is not conducive to walking around in, but is only a few miles to various historic missions. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities were clean and well maintained. Large, level, grassy sites and friendly office staff. We look forward to staying here again. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well maintained RV park. All gravel park, with no green belt and is located close to major interstate, with constant traffic. If you're a very light sleeper, you might want to consider ear plugs. We only stayed overnight on our way to San Antonio, but it met our needs. We arrived after business hours, and had no problem checking in on our own and locating our designated site. Owners were very helpful over the phone and checked on us the next morning. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.
