OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in on a very wide street, not far off I-40, to a friendly check in and escort to a very long pull thru on gravel with several sewer hook ups available. All utilities were fine and open sky for satellite dish. The sites are arranged back to back so your curbside has more room and there are some large trees for shade and a nice table. Coffee and muffins are free in the office each morning, a nice touch. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects monthly rate. We had an excellent pull thru on gravel in the open part of the park, other sites are in the trees or along the Chama River. All utilities worked well and our dish had a clear sky. The owners are very attentive to any needs you might have and strive to make your stay a pleasant one. Gravel surface drains well after repeated thunderstorms. Many campers come back yearly (including us!) and they are very friendly. Restrooms and laundry are spotless. This year, both deer and elk wandered through the park. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Finas for a great breakfast burrito, Elkhorn Cafe for breakfast and the Boxcar for enchiladas. Ride the Cumbres and Toltec steam train, drive HWY 64 east of Tierra Amarilla into the high country. Lowes market has all of the essentials.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived for a one week stay, but ended up staying 6 weeks due to a medical situation. The office was extremely helpful in keeping a spot for us, even though we didn't know how long we would be staying. Great job! We had a nice pull thru that was level gravel and open sky for dish and utilities worked well. It was a bit narrow, but had trees for shade and some artificial turf with a nice table. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Kaktus Brewing Company is right next door, with a gate in the park fence for easy access, good beer and good food. In Bernalillo, food at The Range, Freight House and LotaBurger for a NM green chile cheeseburger. Fuel, shopping and a casino are all close by.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times and it is always well run, clean and friendly. Most folks staying here are overnighters, so the office knows how check in quickly. Our pull thru was level and utilities worked well. There is a local airport nearby, but nights are quiet. Easy on and off I40 and fuel, etc is available close by. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a 30amp pull thru that was easy in and out for this overnight stay. Office was friendly and escorted us to our spot. Everything worked well and satellite was fine, despite trees. There is foliage between sites and a nice table. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was a long, level, wide, gravel pull thru with excellent utilities and orange trees between each space and clear sky for dish. Check in was simple and staff friendly. Easy access from Hwy 58 and far enough away from it to be quiet at night. You might hear some train noise at night if windows are open. We have stayed here before and will come again when in the area. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kit Fox RV Park, Patterson, California

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had a long, level pull thru with good connections and open sky for dish. Gravel surface drained well after a couple of rainstorms. Office was helpful and gave us the best rate available with Passport, etc. Easy access from I-5 and short drive into Patterson which has all the shopping that we needed, as well as restaurants, etc. This is a good basic park and close enough to make a day trip into the bay area. We camped at Kit Fox RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very well laid out park with asphalt roads and concrete pads, properly angled for easy access and excellent utilities. All parks SHOULD be like this! Trash cans were plentiful and emptied often. Synthetic turf with a great table at each site. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered a further discount to military, active and those who served-thanks!!! Highlands RV Park, Bishop, California

Overall Rating:

We had a long, level gravel pull thru with good utilities that had a concrete patio and nice table. Very friendly office staff. The wifi was very good and dish had an open sky. Just an overnight stop, wish we could have spent a few days in Bishop and the surrounding area, snow capped Sierras loom to the west! Excellent Mexican food just across the street at Astorgas. Desert Shadows RV Resort, Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for yearly. Well located near food, shopping and freeways in north Phoenix. Our site was a level back in located amongst park models with good utilities and open sky for dish. Short stays are pull thrus in the middle of the park. There are lots of activities available, dances, pancake breakfasts, shows, plays, water aerobics, etc. This has been our winter home for several years. Residents and campers are a friendly group. Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Our pull thru site was a spacious pull thru water and electric that was wide and pretty level. Easy in and out, we had to watch placement of the trailer so that tree didn't interfere with the satellite dish. The park is far enough from I-40 to be quiet at night. No light pollution here, the stars at night are wonderful! This has been our fall westward stop for several years and we will be back. Fuel, food and some groceries are available at the office/store. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Park is located not too far off I-40, near fuel, restaurants and shopping. We had a pull thru that was long, but narrow, (couldn't put awning out) and level. Utilities worked well and sky was satellite friendly. The manager was excellent, very friendly and he made sure that all was well after we got set up, great service! Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

We were in a long pull thru with good utilities and enough room to park the truck behind the trailer. The site sloped to the rear, but not a problem leveling. Sky was open for dish despite trees growing alongside the pad. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry was $3.50 wash/dry. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is monthly. Our site is a long, gravel pull thru with good utilities and open sky for dish, other sites are under trees. Interior roads are also gravel and easy to navigate. Laundry and restrooms are spotless. The owners are simply the best! The Chama River runs through the back of the park, with some sites overlooking it. Very quiet and dark skies at night. Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort, Creede, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is monthly, high season. Our site was a large back in that was long AND wide, plenty of room for tow vehicle. Site and roads are gravel and drain very well after periodic thunderstorms. Sewer is in the rear, longer hose is required. Open sky for dish. Wifi is OK, not much bandwidth available in this small mountain town. The laundry is exceptionally clean and in good repair. The staff is excellent and friendly. The Rio Grande River runs thru the park. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
