North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Few blocks of I94 easy on and off access. Check in was quick and friendly, escort to my site. First few rows are manufactured housing but then the park opens up, long large gravel sites, nothing more than a good stopover, there are a few national parks a short drive away. Close to gas, shopping and fast foods. Hook-ups worked well, OTA was good not many channels, Wifi steady. We camped at North Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Jamestown Campground, Jamestown, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park with lots of grass and trees, check in was quick and friendly with the bike escort to my site. Site was gravel with lots of grass and close to level, was to be a pull thru but the hook ups were close to the front on my side (sites alternate) so with out lots of extensions had to unhook car to park in front yet billed for pull thru. Wifi was strong and cable TV worked with only 9 channels ( 3 were shopping ). If you have a pet you must ask to be in the pet area, as reviewed previously pet restrictions are super restrictive, cannot even walk on the road or to the dumpster or office, circumference pet walk is beautiful. All the previous reviews about the road are correct for me there was no dust due to 2 days of rain, lots of mud and deep pot holes. Suggest using the slalom method weaving back and forth, avoid pot holes as they are deep. The road is not the responsibility of the park. Will return to this park. We camped at Jamestown Campground in a Motorhome.

Oak Park Kampground, Garfield, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

As I pulled into this Park had many concerns about what I had gotten into, but was quickly surprised. Quick friendly check in and excellent escort to site, site was long packed pea gravel and so level did not use my equipment. Large tree would not allow satellite use but OTA was fine, sewer was at the very back of the site but a very long PVC pipe was present for extension but this set up made the entrance 13" above ground. Was informed that Wifi was having problems and only available at the office. Lots of trees and grassy area for pooch as no Dog Park. Well maintained park with pool and nice play area, small store with limited supplies. Only drawback I found was there is NOTHING around this park for 10 miles in any direction. (Some folks may like this) Verizon 3 bars. We camped at Oak Park Kampground in a Motorhome.

R Campground Inc, Charles City, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure how to rate this park in some ways it is a 9 in other ways a 3. BAD- Winding road thru a local neighborhood to the park, turn past a late night drive thru liquor store to a poor gravel road. Self check in was in the laundry then pay in a lock box at a house down the road, two park hosts both off duty. One of the hosts saw me struggling and came to my rescue. GOOD- Sites are long. level and wide on a bluff overlooking the Ceder river, all FHU's worked fine. River is clean so bring your inner tube and raft to float around, large pond for fishing. Long hiking trail over an old abandoned rail line with some cars left to rust away. Note that some sites are 30 amp only and some 50 amp. We camped at R Campground Inc in a Motorhome.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on and off the highway, very clean and well organized park. Check is was easy, pleasant and quick, no escort to site. Roads were gravel and easy to navigate, sites are large gravel long and wide and level. FHU's all worked well with no problems, grass along both sides. Just a few long timers. Wifi was strong free and password protected, $2.00 wash $1.50 dryer all machines worked well and very clean room. Very very large grassed area along side the park perfect for letting Fido run, other side was acres of planted corn (it is Iowa) was here in mid August and corn was 8' tall and was able to walk thru like a maze. Railroad runs a mile away and occasional noise, otherwise very quiet park. Verizon 3 bars. Great for short stay or stopover. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Motorhome.

Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park), Mount Vernon, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off I-57/ I-64. This is a quaint small park with just 2 rows of sites, the sites alternate every other direction with the utilities at one end so one way your hook ups are way back and the other way they are way forward, so be sure you have enough lines before you pick a direction. Check in was quick and friendly, packed gravel site was long and wide several trees at each site for shade FHU's were a little older but all worked fine. Wifi was strong and free and pass worded so secure. Did not use the laundry. Nice children's playground all nice grass, dog run is a joke BUT very large empty field next to the park for the dogs to run (looks like old baseball field no longer used). Close by is a large intersection lots of gas, fast food, Lowe's even small casino across the street form park. Great for a stop over, would return. We camped at Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Clarksville RV Park & Campground, Clarksville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean and well maintained, sites are gravel and long and level, facilities are clean and up to date. Check in was quick but office people were very all business, no escort to site. Wifi is spotty and drops out. So why the poor review. $40 no sewer and was put up front next to the scrap metal operation so very pricey for overnight. Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

DO NOT book this place for just one night, fantastic with so much to do cannot see and do everything in a few short hours. A bit difficult to find but large bill boards will get you here and this place is well worth the effort. Office staff could not do enough for me, escort to site. Gravel site pull thru no need to unhook but you will need your car, lots of grass and very wide, concrete patio with table, fire ring and near level. Trash pick up twice a day at your site, propane available. Large "Bark Park" all grass and water. Wonderful hiking trails, panning for crystals, cave and cavern tours, work-out room (small but you can work up a sweat), basketball court, large pool and that is just on property. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy access from I75. Office staff pleasant and helpful. No escort to site but good paved road and well marked, pea gravel site long no need to unhook toad, first 5 sites on my row were not possible to level very steep in the front but rest looked level. FHU were a bit older and only one small power hick-up. Very large park and the full timers were in their own section away from the stop overs and short timers. Large pond in the middle of the park saw lots of kids fishing, but when my dog jumped in the water was a smelly mess, water not very clean but that is Georgia mud for you. Showers and restrooms were again a bit aged, three of the four stall locks did not work, when used in the early evening were not clean and several large bugs seen, did not use the laundry. They have a large fenced area with a herd of 12+ goats near the short term lot that can be a bit aromatic in the heat of the day but not bad, the goats do attract gnats and they can be very very irritating as you walk about the pond. Will stop over again but not in the row next to the pond. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Parrot RV Resort, Lady Lake, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a RV resort, it is a mobile home park, there are about 10 short stay sites 4 paved uphill and 6 flat on the grass all next to the dumpsters. No free wi-fi, but pay provider available. No dog park but several dog "walks". Golf course is par 3 no tee boxes and sand (yes sand) greens (browns) that you must rake for the next player. Nice big pool and meeting hall for Bingo, beautiful shuffle board courts. Check-in was quick and friendly with escort to my site. FHU's were new and worked well, my site was under a tree so no Satellite was available. Would stay again. We camped at Blue Parrot RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice for a overnight stay longer stays I would not recommend as high, my experience was pretty bad but that appears to be the exemption. My reservation was missing but they did place me in the long term area for the 3 nights. My site was grass, dirt and mud due to leaky water pipe so I sunk down quite a bit and was not able to level. The over night sites are flat paved. Lots of trees so satellite was not possible and only 30 amp available. Bathrooms are very old but cleaned regularly and work. Lots to do here, pool, parrots in cage, farm animals, big dog park and lots of speed bumps. Will return for a stop over only. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Motorhome.

Outback Springs RV Resort , Bonifay, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Not really sure how to rate this park due to weather related conditions, rained for my 3 day stay, 90% filled with FEMA equipment as Panama City just a few miles south. New owners are very friendly and helpful, park is easy to find easy on/off the I-10, there is still a lot of destruction in the area from the hurricane. Lots of construction for Office, pool and hot tub but no where near completion. FHU's were good the wi-fi was strong when it worked, sites are gravel but not very flat, park has lots of trees and due to time of stay trees were bare so satellite worked fine but I would be doubtful in the summer. Due to rain and construction roads were muddy and very tight for my 32' A, lots of things to do here pond with ducks and koi, putting green, children play area, pet friendly, pool (soon) hot tub (soon). All in all this will be a great park but owners need some time to finish projects and FEMA needs to get out of the owners way. Will return in a few years. We camped at Outback Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Allure RV Park and Storage, D'Iberville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice big and clean park, very difficult to find with out a GPS, road off exit #44 is extremely New park with long raised gravel sites the wooden platform mentioned previously are for when it rains, grassy area between sited is low soft and floods easily so do not get your rig off the gravel. No office we were met by the manager in his car that filled out the paperwork, took the money and led us to our site. Very good FHU's and rest rooms new and clean. Very large dog area. For a stop over very pricey but if you are visiting the casino and beach area is close to all. I-10 runs along the north side but did quiet down in the evening. Very large park and there were only 5 rigs. We camped at Allure RV Park and Storage in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A little hard to find with a sharp right right off the I-10. This park and employees are true southern hospitality, could not do enough to make my stay comfortable, escort to site with assist to set up. Spaces are level and long with grass and a table, even two sewer hook up for big rigs, FHU all work well with no problems. Small pool very clean, the I-10 is nearby but no noticeable noise. Restrooms are close by and very clean. Great stop for a night or several days of rest, highly recommend. I will return. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Houston West RV Park, Brookshire, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a very rough part of town along side the I-10 and next to a very low cost run down hotel. Check was quick and helpful with no escort to site. Roads and sites are sharp rocks with 1/2 mph speed bumps which makes leveling not easy, I-10 runs along side so lots of noise all night. FHU's worked well no problems. Beautiful pond to walk around but no dog park, leash laws are strictly enforced with $5 fine and the city of Brookshire has $500 leash fine. Large rock roads make walking difficult, I will not return. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.
