Gila Bend KOA, Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are very generous, the place is like brand new. Water pressure great, wifi good plus, in general all hook ups are well placed and easy to get to. The sites were so big I may be spoiled in other campgrounds. Had trouble with the cable tv and staff was there to help and got me reception. All the folks are very friendly and helpful. Pool, activity center and outdoor patio are great !!!! Plenty of small stores and restaurants in area to get supplies. If you looking for a snow bird spot for the winter this place is worth checking out. Easy access to major roads. I stayed there for 3 nights and would come back in a heartbeat if I return to area. We camped at Gila Bend KOA in a Motorhome.

Breezy Hill RV Resort (55+ park), Pompano Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

Dramatically overpriced parking lot. Overwhelming majority of residents were French/Canadian and not friendly at all. Please do not stay there. Only shining star was the staff who tried her best to accommodate a site large enough to open my 3 slides. Overall location was good, water was bad but that's Florida not the parks fault. No free Wi-Fi but you could purchase. Streets in the park were narrow but maintained well but my site was not in the best of shape. We camped at Breezy Hill RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a great location on the mississippi river!!! We were here for 7 nights. Great folks in the registration, very helpful and great to chat with, my hats off to the staff. Bath/showers while clean could use some interior cosmetic updating and some chairs. Sites were good size and plenty of fire wood from scrap wood washed on shore. Little windy while we were there but still very nice. Memphis attractions were overall ok . Graceland is worth the visit. This location is great for visiting the overall Memphis area and plenty of stores near by.

Oh and the laundry and dryers are FREE and very clean !!!!! Thank you Tom Sawyer. Wifi is good did have some intial problems but the staff handled it right away. Water is fine and local channels were ok. Still overall would stay here again. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for Paducah area. The park was very busy due to the quilting conference. The staff was great and very, very helpful. They squeezed us in for our 4 night stay since we did not have a reservation. Owners are new and you can see that they are reinvesting back into the park. Shower/baths very , very clean, but shower stalls are small. they have some nice little outside areas setup one by the pool and one in the front. most sites seemed level. the Internet and TV were fine. We were in the back with a back-in site and with some long term residents who were friendly. There were quite a few dogs barking but no biters that I ran into. Would stay again with no problem. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Overall park is nice layout and easy in and out. Bath/showers were clean but could use some updating. Staff were great and accommodating. The rate was for a 5 night stay, not sure what a single rate is. CG has full service sites and water/elec sites and tent sites. Internet and TV were fine. Had some issues hooking up to cable box and the owner was helpful and even came to our site to trouble shoot. The problem was with the cable in plug on my RV. Overall quiet and every now and then a train whistle but nothing loud. Would definitely stay here again. The owners are new in the past couple of years and want to make improvements and as I said very nice. We camped at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground in a Motorhome.

Western Kentucky RV Park, Central City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park layout has great potential, but basic maintenance is ignored - grass, sites, building etc. Most sites looked uneven and make sure to park in row B if you want water. Tried Row C but water not on. Ladies room closed for renovations and men's rooms was overall clean but shower and bath dividers were PVC and traps. Shower curtains filthy and needed to be replaced. No security on bathroom doors. I felt the $30 rate was high given the overall park and showers. Did speak with the owner on consideration on the fee and was told that women's showers were an amenity and the rate was a good one for full service (cable, water, sewer). Was planning to stay for 6-7 days but cut our visit short for two days because of conditions. The cable and TV service was fine and overall quiet park given closeness to the highway. The park is totally open and is not secure including the baths/shower rooms. the park had 7 guests one night and 10 the other. Has outside playground but needs attention like most of the park. Office not manned but owner will pick up phone if called. Had to pay cash for both nights and did not ask owner if he would open office to pay by CC. For me this is a overnight only park. We camped at Western Kentucky RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ivy's Cove RV Retreat, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Convient location off of highway. David Ivy the owner is a very personable person even though I had to move my trailer to another spot. They have limited spaces for big rigs to maneuver and I set up the trailer as the office was closed. I would suggest that you call ahead or set up in the back two rows unless you have one of the call A or huge travel trailers. In spite of the move Mr. Ivy is a great guy and we enjoyed our stay. We also invited him to visit us in the NY Adirondacks and stay at our lake home if he has a trip planned for the future. For clarification he did offer several times to help us break down and reset on a another site. We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Travel Trailer.
