Pasco / Tri-Cities KOA, Pasco, Washington

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Our cable didn't work properly at our site # so we tried #36 , that was even worse quality of a connection, so we switched to #38 instead, bit better but not the quality I would expect from an RV park. The woman's washrooms by the laundry/ pool/hot tub area smelled of some unknown/stinky scent, the door to the outside would not close properly behind me ( no door knob / latch to catch it. ) They were painting the men's washrooms/showers so hubby couldn't use them. The clubhouse washrooms were better, at least they didn't smell and I could close the woman's door behind me. The indoor hot tub water temperature was tepid at best. I run a hotter bath water temp at home. Internet was actually quite fast and consistent. It's an OK place to stay for 1 night but certainly won't be returning for an extended visit. We camped at Pasco / Tri-Cities KOA in a Motorhome.

Orangeland RV Park, Orange, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rate reflects staying here for a week including a dog charge ($10 ). I would of rate them higher on cleanliness except the dog areas although kept clean , certainly had a VERY obvious dog urine smell . I would think if they raked the gravel, sprinkle with water daily it would dissipate. There is a fantastic pool and hot tub area ( we didn't use either this trip ) Washrooms and laundry were both clean. They do offer a shuttle to Disneyland for a very reasonable fee of $6 We camped at Orangeland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Park RV Resort, Lake Elsinore, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our nightly rate reflects the weekly rate $245 plus an extra night of $40. It's Older park with mostly full time residents. Very convenient for most things to do in Lake Elsinore, shopping etc . Easy to get in & out of the park on a busy road, very quiet park ( spoke to 1 neighbor twice, the other we never did meet). The girl that checked us in was an absolute sweetheart, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the girl that checked us out. Very curt, not friendly at all.. Not what I would expect from a RV park. Granted we stayed here in the "off " season but that is NO reason why you can't be friendly, thank you for your business, have a safe journey that sort of thing in parting. Washrooms are very old and VERY much overdue for a freshening up ( paint, fresh shower curtains ) but the hot water was plentiful and decent pressure until somebody flushed or used the men's washrooms next door then pressure dropped off to a trickle. What did give me concern was the one morning I turn on my tap in the motor home and brown water starts flowing ( we were directly hooked up to the local water system ), let the water run for a couple of minutes and it cleared up. Internet was free and semi decent speed most of the time. I would stay here again. We camped at Lake Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Riviera RV Park and Campground, Grand Forks, British Columbia

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very small RV park at the edge of town, right on the river. Although I didn't use the showers I was not impressed with them. They are coin operated but in order to add extra coins it means having to leave your shower stall completely and walk over 6 feet to insert the coins. The shower area is only separated by a curtain in the large washroom building. This is not a quiet park as the sound of semi's whizzing down the highway kept me awake most of the night. The rate we paid was in Canadian dollars. We camped at Riviera RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Castlegar Cabins, RV Park & Campground, Castlegar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The Canadian rate including taxes & dog fees was a reasonable $36.00. Wifi is stable & quite fast compared to other parks we've stayed at. Slightly out of town but good signage on the highway. GOOD news is this campground is open YEAR round!! We camped at Castlegar Cabins, RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Murphy's Landing Creekside & Lakefront Resort, Nakusp, British Columbia

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Walking distance to downtown Nakusp. We stayed in the lower level for 2 nights in early November. We didn't have cable or wifi available ( they turn it off during the winter ). This suited as just fine as we were there for a relaxing unplugged mini holiday. We did have water, sewer & electricity though.

Nakusp Hot Springs was a quick 10 minute drive away. Would definitely visit this campground again !! We camped at Murphy's Landing Creekside & Lakefront Resort in a Motorhome.

Casa Grande RV Resort , Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rate reflects our Good Sam discount for a month's stay. The park is very friendly with lots of activities to choose from. This park is now a privately owned park that has had lots of upgrades. Only reason I rate it a 9 is because there is no cable & the wi-fi was awesome until the park starting filling up; then the speed slogged right down, but for emails it was more than adequate. I would be willing to pay a bit extra to have the cable & DSL internet connection at my site. The new pool area & washrooms were spacious & even the older washrooms were super clean. The gym was spacious & bright with state of the art equipment. Dog walking area was spacious & well looked after as well. Definitely will consider staying there again. We camped at Casa Grande RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This rate was based on a weekly rate with our BCAA card. The internet was free courtesy KOA and Tengo. Now I'm normally not a fan of Tengo, but this park had numerous towers through out the park, which made for a fairly decent speed and signal strength. The park borders on a nice river walk park, which was nice to take the dog out for a walk. The Hot tub was operational though we didn't use it. The location is very convenient to the downtown SLC and the temple. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We were very loyal Sam's Town campers until this trip. The noise level this time was unbearable. (Located very close to Boulder Hwy.) There were a couple of issues in the park that the local police, and ambulances ended up attending to. BUT the main reason was the internet. Tenago was absolutely terrible big time!! When we complained to the office, all he could say was: "The hotel is looking into finding a different provider. Sorry." The whole, open sewer hookups were more gross this time around. Needless to say we had planned on a week here, but left after one night. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town in a Motorhome.

Arizona Charlie's Las Vegas RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 2 weeks, and the nightly rate is based on the weekly rate of $168. The internet is FREE, is fast and reliable!! Washrooms are more like en suites with shower, sink and toilet in one room. They are clean, large and they actually have one with a bathtub! We camped at Arizona Charlie's Las Vegas RV Park in a Motorhome.
