Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here several times and will do so again in the future. I like the easy access of the park. The sites are a good size, and I was able to maneuver my 40' 5'er with no problems. There is also a convenient refueling station in front of the park office. Bathroom (out in the park) was generally clean but showers had mold around the bottom of the walls. Lots of trees, and a generally pleasing park out in the desert. I've heard winds can be wicked, but have not personally experienced that. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed overnight. Space was somewhat uneven and curved, which made it a challenge to position our 5'er. Still had one slide pressing against some tree branches. The Montana level up system worked, but the off door side wheels were well off the ground. Pretty park with lots of trees. Dirt/small gravel roads and sites. I would stay here again overnight. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, roomy spaces. Lots of big trees, and some wildlife like birds, squirrels, and rabbits. I was able to get my satellite link working, but in some sites that's probably not possible due to the large trees. Nice lake with walking trail. Ice cream social is excellent. The restrooms are VERY clean. We have a 40' 5'er and had no problem moving around and parking. Lots of facilities for entertaining kids. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed at this park every year since 2010, normally for a month. Has upgraded WIFI and works very well. Has security, which is a must for the east Las Vegas area. Many spots in the park are tight, but doable. We stay in our 40' 5th wheel with a Ford F350 Super Duty long bed and crew cab and manage well enough. Park ownership is picky about the rules, but the rules are not unusual for any RV park. I highly recommend this park. I already have my reservations for 2020. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It's Las Vegas. What can I say? I like downtown, but the Strip is a little closer to the park. Hoover Dam is easily accessible. Death Valley is a bit of a drive, but can be a day trip if you start early. Mt. Charleston is just west of the city. Its peak is 11916' and has a ski area that is open in the winter. Summer days at the ski area are cool and make a good day trip.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park for the month of January every year since 2010, and it is consistently outstanding. They have upgraded their WIFI and it works great. VERY clean park. Showers and restrooms immaculate. Paved roads and pads, with gravel areas between sites, all of which are well maintained. Well maintained laundry facilities (2 laundries). Good security, which is needed due to its location in east Las Vegas (Sunrise). Propane delivery twice a week, and the propane man from Vegas Propane, is great to do business with. The charge is $25 for 7 gallons, delivered at your site. The park is normally very full in January, so we book a year in advance. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park three times, all one-night stopovers. It's convenient to I-40, adequate sized spaces, decent wi-fi, good off-air TV reception. Did not utilize showers or restrooms. We will definitely stay here in the future. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Paved roads, gravel sites. Well maintained. Two pools, fitness center, and good WiFi. No cable TV, but Las Vegas channels available off air. Great mountain views of Mt. Charleston. Death Valley easily accessible. Winery on site, with good restaurant and small vineyard. Quiet, but good central location for Pahrump. Nice laundry. Good washers and dryers. Car/RV power washing station with good access. Spaces were level, and of a good size. Did not feel cramped in a 40' RV. Coyotes came into the park on two nights. We stayed 8 nights. We will stay here on our next trip. We camped at Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Ventura Ranch KOA, Santa Paula, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Nice isolated location. Lots of shade. WiFi was not usable. Cable TV was not working. Poor laundry facility. two washers, one was not working. Two dryers. Went into Santa Paula to do laundry. Heavy trucks carrying avocados roll through the park at early hours, but mostly quiet. Nice pool and zip line. The park has improved some since our last stay in 2010, but could use a bit more work, such as site leveling, tree trimming, and moving some of the piles of rocks to allow easier maneuvering of RVs. Would stay here again. We camped at Ventura Ranch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place. Have stayed here twice before. Spacious, gravel spaces. Outstanding views. Cleanest showers I've seen anywhere. Very convenient to I-40. Within walking distance to a truck stop where the Iron Skillet restaurant is located. Good comfort food, and buffet. Will stay here again. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Picacho Peak RV Resort (55+ park), Picacho, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, well maintained park, with great scenic view, paved roads, and concrete patios. Stayed here overnight, but would like to come back for a longer stay. Utility hookups were in the back, and the sewer hookup was a stretch for our 5th wheel. Somewhat isolated, but that is part of the attraction of the park. Adjacent to the west side of I-10, and the ubiquitous railroad track, but the noise didn't bother us much. The only negative aspect was not being able to drink the water right from the tap due to high chemical content. OK for bathing, brushing teeth, etc. Purified water for drinking can be purchased for 5 cents per gallon, so we didn't consider this to be a big issue. We camped at Picacho Peak RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Inadequate space for a 4-slide, 40' RV. Slides came within 2-3 feet of slides of adjacent RVs. Neighbor parked his truck so that we could exit our space the next morning. Spaces are not marked, which results in varying parking angles of RVs. Because the spaces are so close, this affects the ability to use your site. Very dusty dirt spaces with some very small gravel mixed in. Overall impression was of a run-down park. Right on I-10, but the traffic noise didn't seem to be a problem. Water faucets in the pull-through spaces were bent so that they faced toward the ground, making hookup more difficult if using pressure regulator. Animal feces present on site. Exterior of showers was not inviting, but did not go inside. Tried to use the Wi-Fi, but the access code we were given did not work. We might stop overnight there again if there was some reason we could not get space somewhere else. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, well groomed park. Exceptionally clean restrooms and showers. Two very nice laundry facilities, and reasonably priced. Wi-Fi recently upgraded and works very well most of the time. Walking distance to convenience store, no more than a mile to a super WalMart. Paved spaces are a bit close, but adequate, as are the paved park roads. One mile walking course to help with exercise. Nice pool. Good park security. Two dog areas, one of which is very small. The other dog area is split into two smaller areas by fence. The dog areas can be very busy at times. Have stayed here on last 4 visits to Las Vegas, and will do so again. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
