Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park, Portageville, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed overnight. When you make a reservation, read the instructions, GPS will not find it easily. It is about 5 miles drive off expressway, although you're right next to it, to you get road noise. Place is well maintained, laundry, restrooms etc are clean. We would stay here again if through this way. We camped at Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

you get off highway and turn on to outer road. there is a gas station on the corner that has fried pies. They are delicious. pass outer road, turn left and get some, then its two right turns to get back on outer road and go to campground.

Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, clean park. Site was level, utilities were easy to hook up. Not far from highway, but it was quiet. We had to be careful walking dogs because there didn't seem to be a lot of room to walk them away from the road. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Oak Park, Muncie, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

stayed here overnight. It could be a really nice park. our site was level, but there was an old shed full of junk at the back of the site. There has been a lot of rain and the gravel was very soft. There were ruts in my site from people who stayed previously. Someone mentioned earlier that the place was "unkempt", that sums it. It was quiet, and close to expressway. It served our purpose, although my wife is not interested in staying here again. We camped at Big Oak Park in a Fifth Wheel.

this is a nice, quiet place to stop overnight. there was cable, and my water, sewage, and electric worked fine. Campground is a little "messy". our site had an old shed filled with junk. grass was long, some campers there looked like they were there a long time unattended.

Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

To see D.C., this park is perfect. There is a bus that comes right to the park and takes you to subway station. We found this VERY convenient. Never had to drive. The campground is well managed, and you can purchase D.C. tours at the office. The campground is well maintained, and there are GREAT provisions for your pets. There are dog walking areas and references for someone who can walk them for you. The pool area is very nice, there are 2 pools, an elaborate recreation area as well as snack bar. The only drawback we had was that the sites are rather small. I wouldn't have been happy with that if I wasn't there to tour D.C. This is probably why they are small, people don't hang out at the campsites much. We will definitely stay here again when we go to D. C. again. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I was happier to drive to metro station, rather than take the bus. The bus runs once an hour, and it was really hot when we were there. We didn't want to have to wait for the bus. It is convenient to drive to the station and park. I think it was 5 bucks..This allowed us to stop and eat at a couple local restaraunts near campground, rather than eat in D.C. where everything is expensive and crowded.

Its in St Ignace, so there is alot of tourist things to do. We stayed the night on our way to Wisconsin. I was disappointed with the condition of our site, and how muddy it was, but I have to say that I was very pleased with the way management handled the issues we had. They moved in on the problems right away, and did a great job of taking care of us. I will stay here again if necessary.

Camp Holiday, Inc., Boulder Junction, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week. Our site was number 57. The site was right across from playground, and near laundry room. The site was level from side to side. I did not need to shim up the tires on one side, and was very easy to level front to back. Found this campground clean, mostly quiet and well managed. There are ALOT of seasonal, semi permanent campers there. There is a nice lake with a nice beach, and a primitive boat launch. There is a large trampoline that floats, a distance from the beach for kids. I liked this campground, wish I could have brought my boat too! We camped at Camp Holiday, Inc. in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are a lot of beautiful lakes, great biking and kayaking. Not much for any type of city life. The nearest big city is Woodruff, and Minocqua. They have some shops to roam around in. There is a casino in Lac Du Flambeau. If you're into fishing, this place is it. This is the musky capital of the world, I guess.

Haas Lake Park RV Campground, New Hudson, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Large park, nice setting. Very quiet at night, even over memorial day weekend. I would rate it better if it was managed better. They will not reserve sites because seasonal users get first pick. We were in a group, and our group, although when we made reservations,(we were assured we would be), were NOT near each other. The gave us a site that was promised to someone else, and that person had to go to office and complain as we were already there. Its like they didn't keep track of who was where. The grass isn't very well maintained. Lots of weeds and dandelions. I won't stay here again. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

River Ridge Campground, Inc., Breckenridge, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A fun, family oriented park. I noticed some litter around here and there. Not horrible, but there. Great swimming pond, pool, and river. Lots of activity, and fun for everyone. Sites are tight. Probably set up years ago when everyone had small campers. I wasn't the only one squeezing my camper into our site. Free WIFI worked good for us. I like this park and will stay here again. But you have to talk to someone and make sure the site you get will accommodate you. I had 2 trees on my site that prevented me from parking my Truck there. Things are kinda tight. Kritter's Northcountry Campground and Cabins, Newberry, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, quiet park. Nice, level pull through sites. Grassy. They ask that you don't use a large mat so the grass doesn't get killed. It was a reasonable request to us. Owners live on site. Helpful, friendly people. They have laundrymat onsite, but not much of a camp store. They have firewood, but I am not sure about even ice. Really enjoyed staying here. Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I liked this park. It was quiet, and clean. The store, check in, and management of the park seemed well organized. Everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful. Its a large park. Beach at campground is nice. Part of it is rocky, but most is easy access to water. It was a long walk from our site. If that's important to you, try to get nearer to it. I would stay here again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for halloween camping. It was a fun time, people go all out for halloween camping at this park It is a nice, quiet, clean park. good electrical, and our site was pretty level and good size. Never felt crowded there. The only drawback is that there are no water hookups. Theres a spigot near but, I had to make sure my camper was full before I left home. Park rangers were friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience. We camped at Holly Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Badlands / White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 5 nights to visit the area and sight see. It was the week after the Sturgis bike rally, so there weren't a lot of campers in the park. It made it quiet there. The restrooms were clean, and there was ample hot water. Found the people who worked there to be friendly and helpful. This campground is off the beaten path. It's a few miles south of the expressway, and there was road work going on driving to the park. You drive partially through the Badlands park to get to the KOA. We enjoyed our stay there, and I liked being away from the center of activity. It was a long drive to everything, but we enjoyed it. We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Close to Wall, and right in the Badlands. ours was a pullthrough site. The placement of the fire pit was kinda awkward, but we weren't there enough for it to matter. It was warm and we only had a fire once or twice.

Port Huron KOA, Kimball, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here August 4 and 5, 2007. This is a bustling active park. Great for kids. There are plenty of activities, i.e. bicycle rentals, etc. My kids loved it. There are 2 swimming pools, and although there were a lot of kids, there was plenty of room to enjoy them. We camped with 3 other families who had pop-up campers. We had a travel trailer, and stayed in a water/electric site. I think they need more dump stations. There was a long line to dump at the single dump station. Other than that, our experience here was pleasurable. This is definitely a "resort" campground. All the activities, and kids running all over would not be conducive for people looking for a quiet weekend, but we were happy there. We camped at Port Huron KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pottawattamie County Fair Campground, Avoca, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean quiet park. We spent the night here on our way home from South Dakota. Really, how can you beat the price? We got in late and left early, but the place was clean, quiet, and tranquil. I liked it. I had a chance to talk to the Manager, and he is a really nice accommodating guy. Not much here if you bring the kids, but a great place to stop for a day or so to get off the road and take a break. We camped at Pottawattamie County Fair Campground in a Travel Trailer.
