Horse Cave KOA, Horse Cave, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay for me so I did not unhook my 25' bumper pull trailer. (Tow vehicle, Silverado 1500 short bed.) The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The campground is lovely, trees, etc., at least in the 30 amp area I was in. However, my site was very strangely configured. If I pulled through the way she told me too, my hookups were on the wrong side. I reversed my direction and barely reached the electric with my standard cord. The water was closer so a 25' hose was fine. But my tow vehicle ended up on a very steep hill! I checked with the owner of the big fifth wheel across from me to be sure he wasn't going to need to get past me in the morning. The nose of my truck is literally at the edge of the road. No big deal since it's one night, but if I were staying longer I would not want this site #26. We camped at Horse Cave KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Very nice people, and nice park overall. Lots of space to walk pets. My grand kids really enjoyed the playground. Great location - you feel out of town even though you are in town. Cons: water pressure in showers was very low, and the water never got really hot. Also Wi-Fi signal was so weak as to be unusable to us in spots in farthest from office. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very neat and clean place. Person who took my reservation over the phone was very attentive to my needs and help find the right spot for me. They have a great system of leaving your information for you if you arrive after hours (which I did). Park was immaculately clean. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.
