Oceanside RV Park, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were there with a group, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The park itself is very clean and well maintained. A nice pet area. Spaces are a little tight, but large RVs had no trouble getting in. Absolutely no fires allowed (propane or wood) but they have BBQ grills in the pool area. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rv park is across the street and a block from the entrance to the beach. The town of Oceanside is a quaint little town with several good restaurants and breweries. We ate at the Breakwater Brewery for pizza and beer samplers. It was excellent. Downtown Oceanside has a nice farmers market on Tuesdays.

Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA, Pomona, California

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

They do not pre-assign site numbers. Sites are pull-thru but very close to the neighboring spot. They do have double hook-ups in each space so you pull in from either direction. We were on end spot and had a nice patch of grass, but sprinklers came on full blast at 7 a.m. for 45 minutes (in a drought). Soaked everything we had sitting outside and couldn't get out of our RV without getting soaked. Complained to 4 people working in park and all of them claimed it was not their responsibility and that I'd have to tell their boss. Wood fires are not allowed but propane can be used. We camped at Los Angeles / Pomona / Fairplex KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wi-Fi is useless. Next door to fairground parking lot so it could be noisy if there is an event going on. There are 2 small cabins, and a small tent area that is pretty far away from restrooms and showers

Dockweiler RV Park, Playa del Rey, California

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Specific spots assigned to trailers or RVs, so if you're in an RV and travelling with someone in a trailer, the RV would need to back in to a trailer spot. Each spot has a picnic table and grill. Spots are close, but not uncomfortably so. Front row is great for people watching and beach viewing. Friendly staff. We camped at Dockweiler RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fire pits are available on the beach. Park is close to LAX, so airport noise could be annoying. Space for towed vehicles is tight
