Grand Falls Casino, Larchwood, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small RV parking site adjacent to Indian Casino. Only 14 sites, FHU with grass between sites. 10 miles from Sioux Falls SD. Cornfield on one side, overlooks the golf course on the other side. Young small trees not tall enough for shade or to block satellite signal. Not a family campground, no restrooms, laundry or play area, no wifi at sites or cable tv. Verizon good. Casino staff very friendly and helpful. Good for travelers and big rigs. Check in at Casino hotel registration desk. $35 on Weekends, $25 weekdays. Will stay there again. We camped at Grand Falls Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Rushmore Shadows RV Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, very large RV resort with paved roads and gravel sites with large grass areas and table and 1/2 mile away from the highway. Sites with and without trees. Both big rig pull thru and back-in sites are wide with 30 or 50 amp W & S. Free un-secured Wi-Fi but very weak in some areas. Large game room and club house, heated swimming pool and spa. Three separate kids play areas and a miniature golf course. Very good Verizon cell and 4G signal. Satellite TV signal in most sites but no cable TV in park. Only a few scheduled activities on holidays. Staff friendly and helpful. 10 miles outside of Rapid City and 10 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Cost listed is for ROD. We will stay there again. We camped at Rushmore Shadows RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Creek Village RV Park, Glenrock, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Worst place ever stayed. Converted old MH park with long back in sites. The gravel roads had large and deep pot holes and the sites had pot holes and long deep ruts. No trees, no tables, no patios. No game room, club house, pool, or kids play areas. Couldn't get the cable tv to work. Good Verizon cell signal and satellite TV signal in most sites. Utilities on wrong side in far back corner of site, so be sure to have two power cords and extra water hoses. No sewer at site and our site had the non-functioning dump station at our front door because of position of power pedestal. 25 miles east of Casper. Arrived late so stayed, but left early. Would not stay there ever. We camped at Deer Creek Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Free cable TV and free password protected fast Wi-Fi at sites. Good Verizon cell signal and satellite TV signal in most sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice small laundry. 1 miles to downtown. We would stay there again. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

King's Row, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

OLD, OLD narrow Mobile Home park with RV spaces in empty MH sites. Paved roads and concrete patios. Trees between sites with low overhanging branches. Watch your roof and sat dish. Pick site carefully, to be sure you can get Sat signal. Pull thru and back in. Close to downtown and strip. Easy access off highway 95 then Boulder Hwy. Elec pedestal old and modified many times, had difficulty getting plug to get good connections. Office staff nice. Web site states it has WiFi, but could find signal at site. Web site also states age restriction for rigs over 12 years but appears to very loosely enforced. Will not stay there again. We camped at King's Row in a Fifth Wheel.

Mitchell's Stateline RV Park, McDermitt, Oregon

Overall Rating:

At the state line of NV & OR on Hwy 95. Gravel parking lot with utility pedestals. Level, clean, quiet and no trees, sites are long pull thru. No pool or rec room, store or laundry, small on-site office. Halfway between Winnemucca and Boise. Utilities in middle of site, water and 30 amp only. Sewer outlet 6" high. No breakers at receptacle and breaker panel on pole several sites away has a padlock so be sure not to trip a breaker. Would only stay there again for overniter. We camped at Mitchell's Stateline RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest RV resorts we have stayed. All paved roads, concrete pads, with artificial grass. Big rec room, big laundry, pool and hot tub & small store. GS winter rate for back-in site $37. Nice pull thru sites $6 more. Summer rates higher. ½ mile off Freeway so no noise. ½ mile to large shopping center and ¼ mile from manmade lake. About 5 miles from downtown Reno. Several nice pet walk areas. Problem, the trees are getting taller and wider and are located on the south side of pull thru sites and toward the front of each site sometimes blocking roof mounted sat signal. Office and maint staff friendly and helpful. Accepts Good Sam. Will stay there again. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tonopah Station RV Park, Tonopah, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

RV parking lot behind small casino/hotel, all asphalt with full hook ups. Most sites level, no trees, most pull thru sites with a few back in sites for smaller rigs. Only 17 sites and no reservations, so arrive by late afternoon. New elec pedestals. Easy access off highway 95. OK for an over nite and reasonable place to stop between Las Vegas & Reno and low price. Small casino, and restaurant, old but nice. Quiet. Would stay again when traveling between Las Vegas and Reno. We camped at Tonopah Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV park with partial or full hookups. Located on the jetty between the Rogue River and ocean with walking access to both. Close to town but wouldn't know it. All gravel and sand with good roads and wide level sites. Good free wifi and good cell service. No trees, but plenty of ocean breezes. The staff was nice and helpful. No store but very close to town. Chinook Bend RV Resort, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Not a resort, it is a campground with utilities. Very pretty location by the river, but overgrown weeds and lot of potholes in the gravel roads and the sites. No cable tv or wifi and no cell service. Sites pretty close together and mostly seasonal and run down trailers and fishermen with boat trailers. Quiet and 6 miles to town. The staff was nice and a little store with a lot of fishing stuff and a few groceries, beer etc. Won't stay there again. We camped at Chinook Bend RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bastendorff Beach County Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

If you like camping in the dark woods, this is a good place. County campground with paved interior roads and paved level sites in the trees. Narrow interior roads. Don't recommend long or tall rigs. Very difficult to get into narrow sites with narrow one way roads. Each site separated by tall hedges or forest. No sewer at sites. Both water with 30 amp and dry sites available. Most sites back into forest for camping experience. Very few sites can get satellite signal. Good cell service and OTA. Playground but no rec room and no store of pool or activities. Must drive to beach. Narrow and twisty state roads to get to area from the south. Nice place to camping for a few days, but not so good for RVing. We camped at Bastendorff Beach County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park. Paved roads and wide level concrete pull thru and back in sites with a strip of grass between each and scattered trees. Utilities good. OK for big rigs. About half the sites can get satellite signal. NO cell signal but a cell signal booster at the pavilion. Free wi fi. Nice gift shop and very small grocery store. Family owned and operated park. No pool or rec room. Everything clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Good restrooms, showers and laundry. On the Ave of the Giants. Overall a very nice RV park. Would stay there again. Duncan Mills Camping Club, Duncans Mills, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

If you like camping in the dark woods, this is a good place. If you like RVing with cell service, WiFi, or TV, this is not the place. This is a private Camping Club, not a RV park. Paved and gravel interior roads, nice level gravel sites. Each site separated by tall hedges or forest. Some sites FHU, others 30 amp and water only. Most sites back into forest for camping experience. Only a few sites can get satellite signal and none can get OTA TV. There is no cell service and no WiFi available for 20 miles. Next to large river. Had problem with low voltage even when park half occupied. Small rec room and no store of pool or activities. 7 miles to Ocean. Very narrow and twisty state roads to get to area. Be careful with big rigs on county roads. Take highway 116 or River Road in from east, Avoid the Bohemian Hwy., lot of low branches. We camped at Duncan Mills Camping Club in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large park with all the amenities and very crowded. Membership resort that accepts the public. Paved roads and wide level concrete pull thru and back in sites with a strip of grass or gravel between and scattered trees. Utilities good. OK for big rigs. Most sites can get satellite signal and good cell signal at all. Free Cable TV, pool, rec room and store. Most rigs with retired people and very few families.
