Overall Rating:

Wide back in sites with FHU for $32 nite, Good Sam. Restrooms and showers but no other amenities, no tent sites. Gravel roads, no patio or table but lots of grass. Good for big rigs. No cable TV, no wi-fi, very good cell signal and open for satellite. Very quiet except when fair going. Great locations to explore the area. We will return. Note that the utilities are at the back corner of every other site, so one site will have them on the opposite back corner. 15 miles to Jacksonville. Another very nice COE campground. Paved roads and sites with lots of grass and widely spaced trees. Each site with table and fire ring. A ½ mile away from highway. Surrounded by big trees so very quiet. Sites with and without trees. No Wi-Fi, no cable TV, good cell signal, satellite TV signal in most sites. No game room or club house, pool, playground, or laundry. Close to a recreational boat launch and right along the Intercostal waterway. A campground not a resort. Good for big rigs. Brunswick Beaches Camping Resort, Sunset Beach, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Good; Nice family oriented RV campground with gravel roads and level grass sites with table and grass. Club house, pool, pavilion, game room, small food store, and small pond. Free cable TV, free un-secured wi-fi by outside contractor. Quiet and 5 miles to small town. Not good; Office staff friendly but not helpful. We requested a site to get satellite when reserved and when checked in. Could get not signal at that site. The office staff didn't want to change site as they would have to do more paper work. The only park in 8 years of traveling that required proof of dog vaccinations before allowing check in. Check in time 3 pm, the staff upset if arrive before. Weak cell signal and only few available sites open for satellite. Mostly monthly units. At $50 per nite for a 30 amp W & E only site is not good value. Will not return. We camped at Brunswick Beaches Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

In 200 reviews and 45 states this is my only second or third rating of 10. Nice RV resort with paved roads and level gravel sites with large concrete patio, table and lots of grass. Club house, pool, pavilion, game room and small food store. Very nice 5 acre lake surrounded by sites that alternate between nose-in for MH windshield view of the lake and back in so rigs are back to back but still 10 ft apart with utilities situated in the middle between sites. Sites are separated so each has large front grass area. Families in one area with swimming area and non-kid guests in another area. Great park for big rigs. Good free cable, good free secured wi fi, very bad cell signal but open for satellite. Paddle boats for use, mini golf and fishing. RR and showers are nice but a long walk from RV sites but are close to the grass tent sites. Office staff friendly and helpful. Very quiet and 20 miles to small town. Also has several cabins and motel rooms available. We will return. We camped at North River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

RV campground with gravel roads and sites with table and small patch of grass. Lots of big trees and between hills. All long and narrow pull thru sites with FHU. A little tight but doable for big rigs. Wi-fi, average cell signal, good cable tv, only a few sites can get sat tv. Easy access of Hwy 81. No game room, no club house, no pool, no laundry, no scheduled activities. Separate area for tents. 15 miles from Roanoke. Owners act like they don't care if you are here or not. Many permanent RVs some with blue tarps on top and most with mold or moss growing on them. We will not stay there again. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
