Archview RV Resort & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in a good location, but it is mostly dirt and gravel. The sites are close to each other and we had to unhook our tow. We couldn't hardly park in front of our RV or behind it without blocking the road. The guy next to us had a pull behind, a truck another trailer pulling an ATV and my husband says they also had another car - I just know that we could hardly move without them being in our space - and I do like my space! The wind was pretty fierce and kept the dirt stirred up. The laundry was clean and convenient. We saw the Arches from here and Canyon Land. The lady in the office sent us right out of the campground when Canyon Land was left and super close. I'm not sure if she misunderstood or what. The staff was not very friendly. We camped at Archview RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

J & J RV Park, Kanab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of our favorite stops. This is a smaller, newer campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to put out blocks to level our site, but it was spacious and clean and plenty long enough for our tow. We stayed here 5 nights and used it as our base to see Jacob's Lake, Cottonwood Trail, Zion National Park and other interesting sites. And our two little furry road buddies really enjoyed the dog park. We camped at J & J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this park when we stayed 2 nights in May, 2019. The price was a little steep but it is a tourist stop and we kind of expected it to be more. The sites were very close together and we had to level our Class C. The pull through was very small and we could not have left our Jeep attached if we had wanted to. It was clean and the people were very nice. The laundry room was clean and while the washer was a little expensive the dryers were not so they kind of offset that. We took a tour of the Navaho Reservation through the camp ground and our guide was excellent. We enjoyed that a lot and are still talking about it. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was clean but we found very expensive - for one night with a 30 foot RV towing a Jeep, two senior citizens, two small dogs it was $79.58. The site was unlevel and there was an open field behind us with very few trees in the park. The camper next to us, the gentleman had on a KOA shirt, was driving a class A towing 2 sand-dune buggies. Once he pulled in, he proceeded to wash his class A and the 2 big atvs. Our rules clearly stated no washing of vehicles - but maybe if we bought a shirt.... I realize the campground had nothing to do with the weather but during the night the most awful storms came through with hail and wind battering our RV and Jeep - felt like we were in the middle of the storm in a boat. If there had been some more trees - mature trees around us, maybe we would have felt more protected...? We were rather glad to leave Amarillo the next morning. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 1 night in a RV towing a vehicle. When we first got there, it was almost empty but pretty much filled up by dusk. Our site was level gravel with plenty of shade. The WiFi was good. It was quiet and very clean. The outside breaker was suck between on and off and was very hard to move. We called the office and within 15 minutes their on-call tech came and fixed it. We were scheduled to stay a second night but decided late morning we were ready to move on- the nice lady in the office did not charge us for the second night. We definitely would stay again We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.
