Great campground! Extra wide long level pull through, electric 50 amp, sewer and water. Nearby shopping area with grocery and restaurant but not much more shopping on the island. Grounds showed considerable damage from the recent hurricane but staff was working hard to restore the campground to pre-storm beauty. We were only minutes from Savannah riverfront via the Harry Truman Parkway, there was some delay on Hwy 204 a little distance form I-95 but considering we arrived near evening rush hour wasn't a game changer. Restrooms are showing some dating but were functional and very clean. During our Florida adventure we stayed at many campgrounds but we enjoyed our stay here the best. Will return here again, we stayed in a 35 foot motorhome, towing. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.
Publix and Kroger close by.

Stayed three nights and rested well each night as everyone seemed to adhere to the quiet time guidelines. Restrooms were a little dated but clean and orderly. Originally, reservations were screwed up at least three times by office personnel who either lacked sufficient training or just were careless. The office managers finally straightened everything up and check in went smooth, just be sure to request a confirmation email and a follow up verbal confirmation several days prior to arrival. Cell service is very weak here, best of luck with calls. Wi Fi was a joke, never connected in the three days here. Excuse was it was just overloaded. Newsflash...maybe its time to upgrade the service, if you advertise WiFi it should be expected to work. We, never the less, had fun in the Cherokee area and met many "interesting" fellow campers. We will return again in the future. We camped at Happy Holiday RV Village (formerly Happy Holiday RV Park) in a Motorhome.

There are quite a few permanents at the campground, but for the most part the sites are well kept. Pool was clean and maintained well, but bathhouses need enlarging and updating. The designated 50 amp sites are near the rear of the campground where there quite a few refuse piles and at least 8-10 abandoned RV in serious disrepair. The sites are not level and the power, sewer and water connections are on the front of the site instead of being near the rear of your coach. Needed a 50 amp extension and a 20+ foot sewer connection, poor planning of site layouts. Will not be returning. We camped at Holly Bluff Family Campground in a Motorhome.
