Cross Creek RV Park & Campground, Lake Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for families with small children staying in anything other than a large rv. This place is definately NOT big rig friendly! And there is hardly any grassy area's or trails for walking dogs. 4 wheel drive is a must have if towing a camper into and out of this park. We camped at Cross Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The other reviews were right. It is a nice park except that you are packed in like sardines and no camp fires are allowed at sites (which there's no room for anyway). I paid $140 per week for 30 amp while I was working in the area. It's so tight of a park that I'm worried about hitting something when I leave. I may have to get someone from the office watch and help maneuver me out of there. The sites are so small that all the tow vehicles are parked along side the interior roads at either end of the pull throughs. Personally, I would prefer to give up some amenities for more space, but for an overnight stay this park would probably be OK. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground, Sarcoxie, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

For an overnight stay it would probably be OK, but this park needs a lot of upgrading and upkeep. The owner was nice but I think he's overwhelmed with this business. I had to rake the leaves myself from around my site and grass was overgrown. There's old unused dilapidated buildings around that make it look junky. The office/store smelled kind of musty and was run down. The road noise is very loud also. Some of the electrical pedestals were broken and looked dangerous. We camped at Beagle Bay RV Haven and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Branson Ridge RV Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a bad experience with this park. We called weeks ahead to ensure the indoor pool would be opened for April 1st. Although we were told the pool was being filled and looking like it would be ready. When we arrived there was no filling taking place and they were still painting the inside of the pool. So between being lied to about the pool opening, the high price of $42.00 off season rate & the park is very large with no grass. Those things would prevent us from coming back. We generally stay at parks that are under $40.00 per night for a family of 4 in a full hookup site that has a swimming pool. There's a lot of places in Branson to choose from. We camped at Branson Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Springs RV Camp, Van Buren, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice, small, quiet campground. We toured two other campgrounds in town and they were for young partiers. They could use better river access for swimming, but there's a couple nice parks in town with good swimming access. So between the beautiful Current River, full hookups, cable TV, game room, quiet atmosphere and super clean restrooms, all for under $40 for a family of four: how can you top that? We really liked this campground. This is our first choice for southern Missouri Current River area. We camped at Big Springs RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Garrison's River Resort, Steelville, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We've been to Garrison's a few times now over the years. They have entertainment like karaoke in the evenings during the summer months on Fri. and Sat. The electric only sites are close to the Meramec River which was nice to cool off in. The resort is a floating outfitter also so the place is busy with them hauling canoes and rafts all day. They also have a Country Kitchen Diner that offers A breakfast buffet and Saturday night BBQ. Overall with the pool, river access, float trips, horseback riding, good camping prices, and karaoke for the kids on the weekends it's overall one of the nicer parks in Steelville. We camped at Garrison's River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice full hookup site in the center of the park. If there were no trees separating the sites it could be considered a parking lot like others have labeled it but the trees help.lots of woods around for the kids to play with other kids safely. We saw coyote three times in the park. We couldn't open our awning due to lack of space from a pine tree but it didn't matter to us we didn't see the need to open it anyway. You don't go to Yellowstone to sit around the camper. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Huzzah Valley Resort, Steelville, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park on the Huzzah river that offers floating trips. The weekend we stayed the main full hookup area had been reserved so we were put in a field w/ hook ups,and the kids didn't have a playground to use due it being in the reserved area. No discount was offered due to the restricted access. Also the showers were coin operated. ($35 per night, no pool, no shade,no useable playground, and coin showers) We camped at Huzzah Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Peach Queen Campground, Jemison, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The park was a good for overnight stay. It was practically empty, shaded site, the pool was nice but needed cleaning, dog barking at a camp next to us woke us up at 3:00 am. It had a fishing lake but we did not get a chance to use it. We would stay here again if traveling through the area. We camped at Peach Queen Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
