Ocala North RV Resort, Reddick, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We love this park. Convenient to I-75, 15-20 minutes to either Ocala or Gainesville. Located in heart of beautiful horse country. Park is very clean, pleasant staff, propane on site, nice pool and 2 fellowship halls and sites seem to be pretty level. Our rating lowered because of very narrow interior roads, few lights not working and older concrete pads, broken.....we have seen where they are working on replacing/repairs on those. Would def stay here again. Very tranquil. Monthly rate per pricing. We camped at Ocala North RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Trav-L-Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park, maintained very well. Beautiful lanscaping and several sitting areas throughout the park. A style of camping for everyone. Tents, cottages, rental units and tents available as well as full sun and shady sites. ALso the super sites wich have concrete pads, grill and fire pits. A great stocked store, very nice laundry, 4 pools, restuarant on site until Labor Day and many other amenities. You are next to a Naval Air Station so do expect noise from the jets, which we enjoy. Narrow interior roads, needs more light and better signage. The only park where we have tayed in 8 years of FT where they offered recycling containers. What we both found quite odd, no fire-pit, or truck rims for fire. Just build it on the ground. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Waynesboro North 340 Campground, Waynesboro, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park, wooded with large level, pull thru gravel sites. Plenty of area to walk, watch birds, squirrels, quiet and peaceful. Lot of long term and workers in park. OTA tv not much, even talking to people with satellite, with trees not many channels. WIFI slow and spotty. Within 10 miles of shopping/dining. We camped at Waynesboro North 340 Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Picture Lake Campground, Petersburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Large park, rental cabins, lot of tent space, pool, lake to enjoy small playground. Workers very friendly. Some spaces pretty tight, out site not level, interior roads need improvement. overnight pull thrus are long, curved and paved. Water lot of iron, can't drink it. Not all sites have sewer (surprise) they do pump out twice a week. We got about 12 OTA channels. WIFI was decent. We camped at Picture Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Small older park, several run down campers long term. Tight spaces. Right next to interstate so there is lot of noise. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway there is cavern and small flea market on site. Not many options for camping in the area. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

TIght spaces, could not open awning if someone beside us, if slides matched with ours, you needed to turn sideways to get between rigs. Trees and electrical boxes can make for difficulty getting into some sites, actually saw people hit trees, and rip off awning of someone in middle row trying to turn. Tenting area near creek, plenty of widlife. Restrooms desperate need of updating, they are all concrete with no soap or towel dispensers.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

All pull though concrete pad sites. Great size lots. FHU, but wifi rather slow. You are next to airport and planes start overhead @ 6am. The military jets taking off can shake your RV, they tend to be rather loud. There is flea market next door, and we enjoyed looking around, getting fresh produce and shrimp every weekend. Few exits down is major shopping center. We would stay here again. Just off I-95. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Salem Village Mobile Home Park, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is mainly a mobile home park, with RV sites available. FHU; however, no WIFI or cable. Being right in the mountains, our antenna only picked up 5 channels. We opted to get additional DISH receiver from Camping World, (nearby), for some TV, since we were here for several months working. Very clean park, for RV sites, maintenance does mow for you. Very nice and friendly people here, safe, and in city limits, food delivery, major bonus. Only minutes from I-81. Sites are pretty level and great size with you having an actual yard. Highly recommend over other RV park in area. We camped at Salem Village Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely loved this park, hated leaving. Nice office staff, very helpful, small store and free waffles several days a week. Clean, well maintained neighborhood feel. Spacious level lots, all with fire pits, picnic tables. Two dog parks, 2 swimming pools, nice playground, nature trails, lot of areas to walk and grassy areas to enjoy. Also has cottages and cabins available for rent, which we did and invited our daughter and grandchildren for a weekend. Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Just off I-81 next to Caverns, if you like to see those. Mostly shaded. That's the good of it. Not much in area, sadly. This place is crowded, forget using an awning, and we could not get back slides all out with neighbors slides also being out. Old, not maintained, dirty, and just plain scary. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Leisure Lakes RV Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Smaller park, about half the sites back onto a lake that you can walk around. Peaceful setting. Lots are FHU, narrow lots, gravel/sand/clay mix. Mots have picnic tables and grills, fire pits are allowed. Small playground, gazebo with swing, able to walk dogs around the lake. You are near a helicopter school, so see and hear them training often. Convenient to I-10, as well as town for shopping and restaurants. We camped at Leisure Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
