Stella Mare RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here for just 1 day and I'm blown away. This park is so clean and neat. The pads are super level and all concrete with wide roads. Tons of pull through's and back ins around perimeter. Two dog parks, lots of grass and the crew picks up trash at your driveway all day just put it out and they will take care of it for you. The pool has a shallow kiddy area, a splash pad and a hot tub. The office staff are super nice. Easy in and out. Staff escorted us to our slip and helped with any questions. We camped at Stella Mare RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fredericksburg RV Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice clean facility close to town. It is easy in and out with all pads being pull through. It does not have a lot of entertainment but your in Fredricksburg, TX. It has a small doggy poop area in the back and has a small greenbelt on one side of the complex. The cable TV was awesome and the wifi was great but slowed in prime time. The laundry facility is nice and clean. The pads are of crushed granite but level. This is a quiet, and safe campground. We camped at Fredericksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Willow Lake RV Resort, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

A nice clean facility with concrete pads and roads. Easy to maneuver motorhome. Has a huge lake where you can fish and kayak. We had lots of room to walk the dogs with a decent amount of grass around the lake. You will hear a little road noise from the road next door but did not bother us to much. The location is good with anything you want nearby. We did not use the pool or amenities but they appear to be very nice. The ground keepers do a excellent job, this is a nice facility. I caught a huge Bass in the lake, its catch and release. We camped at Willow Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Again we choose Oasis as 0ur over night stay as we travel west. The office and check in is one of my wife's favorite places. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. We have puppy dogs and the office put us near the green belt and dog park. The pizza is worth checking out it was real good. Our site was long and level. We had just a little leak on our water valve and we informed the office as we left and they were very thankful and said they would have maintenance fix it as soon as possible. This is a clean, professional run facility. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. We had a nice pull through with nice space between other campers and had lots of places to walk the dogs. There are bunny rabbits everywhere so have a good leash. There is construction in the area, they are raising the level of the lake. Its really going to be a summer hot spot. Make reservations early the locals book the weekends far in advance. We will stay here again. Littleton is a nice little town. We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Motorhome.

There is a Loves down the street for fuel. Just 1/2 mile from freeway but was still quiet. If the wind is out of the west you will have a cattle smell from the ranch down the street.

Angel Fire RV Resort, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

A very clean, fresh facility. We enjoyed the dog park, it was huge with plush grass and secured gates. We could walk the dogs on a trail that goes all the way around the perimeter. We did the hot tub while we did our laundry and it was very nice, clean, and first class. Our site was large and level concrete pull through. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort is nicely landscaped and there are hundreds of aspen trees. When the trees mature it will be very nice, but still displayed a beautiful fall colors. We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

There is nothing but praise I can share for this campground. After suffering 3 major floods in 4 years this campground is beautiful. Congratulaions to the crew, ground people and many volunteers that helped return this campground to its awesome condition. This is a must to visit when you are in the area. Spacious sights and a large green belt to walk the furry kids. Excellent roads for riding bikes and you can rent golf carts on sight. There is a Marina across the cove that was playing live music last night and sounded like everyone was having a good time. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Minutes to Great wolf Lodge, Bass Pro Shop, Grapevine mall. On the lake with boat ramp on sight. Just one main cove from the Gaylord resort. We took the granddaughter to LEGOLAND and Sea Life at the Mall. We had lunch at the Rainforest Café. LEGOLAND was a beat down but Sea Life was very nice and had best value..

Sandpiper RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not a huge park but its very nicely laid out with pull throughs and back ins. Its close to beach and also close to the downtown stores and restaurants. It was very quite during the week but got full come the weekend. I wanted to use the pool, it looked really nice but ran out of time. This is a nice clean facility. We camped at Sandpiper RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Pointe RV Resort, Canyon Lake, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Park is very old with very little improvements. They really build up ownership, I don't get it. Rocky hill country type park, nothing smooth, roads rocky rough with tree limbs hanging over. Tight quarters, but it was fine for a night. Deer running everywhere and the kids were having a good time at the pool. The lady in the office was just super nice with that southern hospitality; she was my favorite memory from our stay. We were leaving at the exit gate and the shrubs and bushes on the side scratched the heck out my motorhome (I was so mad). I probably will stay somewhere else next time down that way. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gulf Waters RV Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our stay at Gulf Waters. We had a very nice time, we spent time on the beach, going into town and dining out and spending time in the many souvenir stores. We spent time driving around this small town and fell in love with the town and its people. Gulf waters is a class act and we will return and hope to spend more time. Robbers Cave State Park, Wilburton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in the past and really enjoy the privacy and the woods vibe this park gives. We pulled a toad this time and stayed in a pull thru and we enjoyed this better than a back in. There is a area in front of the office that you can unhook your toad and hook back up when leaving, the pump out loop is tight and roads could be tight for large units. We could tell there has been a cut back on maintenance there were branches hanging over into the roads that scratched our coach. We got chiggers and we found ticks on us so spray yourself if you take the pups for a walk, its very woodsy. We camped at Robbers Cave State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Has a country store/office. Children's playground down the street. A lake across the street that has paddle boats and canoes, a swimming pool and a small museum. There is a large area that has a equestrian facility and RV pads, we drove back to check it out and there were several horses and campers. Don't miss the Robbers cave that requires a little hiking and climbing.
