RV Haven, Aransas Pass, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is based on weekly rate. Plus electric. No credit cards. We stayed a week to visit the area. Very small, very clean and friendly park. Sites and roads are gravel, water and electric good. Wi-Fi and satellite worked well. These folks care about their park and their guests. Nicest hosts and fellow campers we have ever met. No public showers or restrooms, one washer/dryer on the honesty system. Not much area to walk your dog and beware of the sand burrs underfoot. Not a destination park, for sure, but the people here made it one of our best stays ever. We camped at RV Haven in a Motorhome.

Patricia Lake Campground, Minocqua, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

A little difficult to get a big rig in here but we had a back-in site. There are pull through sites available. Older park, heavily wooded, not much grass, mostly sand. Nice small lake with beach. The majority of the sites here are seasonal folks and we definitely had the feeling we were intruding on their park. First time we have been at a park where no one said hello. Owner seemed nice but not flexible in allowing our membership discount. We decided not to stay the extra night although there are nice things to do in the area. We camped at Patricia Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Village RV Park, Ishpeming, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is in town limits within walking distance to shopping and a few restaurants. Not the most well-maintained place we have stayed, but the pool and hot-tub were clean and nice. Staff somewhat indifferent and we weren't allowed to choose our site even though there were many available. They did allow a discounted rate; however, with one of our memberships. Interesting things in the area to see. Definitely an "RV Park" feel. Don't know that we would stay here again, but it worked out OK for the time we were here. We camped at Country Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sturgeon Valley Campground (formerly Sturgeon River Campground), Wolverine, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Wonderful hosts, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Real family camping at it's best. Large sites, grassy, everything well maintained. Big rig friendly, pet friendly. Tubing, kayaking in the Sturgeon River on site, volleyball and baseball area for the kids. Facilities very clean. No sewer hookups, but the owner will be at the dump station to help you out. Real country feel at this campground, the way real camping used to be. The owners gave us recommendations on things to see on our route home, which were fantastic. Loved it here, we will return. We camped at Sturgeon Valley Campground (formerly Sturgeon River Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

New RV Park but definitely a parking lot feel. Pool, hot tub, and shower facilities are amazing - clean and new and very large. Sites are close together but all sites are paved, mowed, fire rings cleaned, immaculate. If you like clean camping, this is the place. Many large rigs here. Lots to see in the area - most folks brought their dune buggies and trucks but it was still quiet at night. Our only complaint here is the discount we were expecting with our membership was denied us because of their 'high season' rules and they were not negotiable. Owners were nice enough. If we are in the area, we might stop here but it wouldn't be a destination for us. We camped at Silver Creek Luxury RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
