Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects 6 night stay with one free night KOA reward. Oceanview sites are $80 a night....but oh so worth it. As a full timer we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful. We loved watching the tide come and go. The people are great and will deliver ice and firewood to your site. The stars at night are amazing. Close to the park and Bar Harbor. We would stay here again. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

Frankenmuth Jellystone Park, Frankenmuth, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

The park was overpriced. Sewer connection was at the very back of the site, it took both my extra hoses to connect. Easy access to shopping and sightseeing. We camped at Frankenmuth Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great county park. The office staff is great and the park is secure. Nice level site. No sewer, but dump station. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Sunny's Campground, Wauseon, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects 12-day stay. This park is 90% seasonal sites, with a section for overnight campers. During the week there is hardly anyone there, but let Friday night come around and 700+ people show up. It's not loud at night but I've never seen so many golf carts in one place. I would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Sunny's Campground in a Motorhome.

Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA, Perrysburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing special about this KOA to set it apart. It is our second time staying here. OK people, easy to maneuver into sites. The biggest problem here is the dust and grit. Roads were gravel at one time but now are just dirt. Impossible to sit outside for all the dust from cars driving too fast in park. We camped at Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA in a Motorhome.

Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+), Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Nice people. Pull-in sites right from road are mostly level. The back-in sites seemed tight for larger rigs. Great location to see all of the Amish country. I didn't notice any 'smells' from the farm next door. We would stay here again. We camped at Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+) in a Motorhome.

Fairway RV Park, Nacogdoches, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rough road leading to park. There is a 10 foot view of the golf course from the office. The sites are down a hill. It didn't appear as if the office was ever open. The sites were level, but no grass just dirt and weeds between sites. Not a bad overnight stop but I think the rate is too much for this park. Mostly long term renters. We camped at Fairway RV Park in a Motorhome.
