Pullman RV Park, Pullman, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very disappointed. We've stayed here for several years now, and this year they raised the rate and took away cable TV. They say they are negotiating with the cable company for a new contract. They also changed the wifi password and didn't tell anyone. And they're closed on the weekend, so we couldn't even find out about it from when we arrived on Friday until Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day). I could tell you the new password, but I think everyone should call them every time until they get tired enough of the complaints and change the receipt to have the correct password. The site was long enough for the RV, but no good parking for the truck. We camped at Pullman RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Quality Inn next door allows free use of their wi-fi, pool, and fitness center for park guests. Nice little bar and restaurant with $1 Tacos on Tuesday, and AYCE breakfast buffet.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Best park we've stayed in. Wide (2-lane) interior paved roads, level concrete sites, beautifully manicured lawns between sites. Free, strong Wi-Fi and free cable. Everything immaculately clean, nice pool and large spa. We stayed free with RVGOLF and by staying here got to play the private course 3 miles away. Staff was friendly and helpful. This park exceeded expectations in every way. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lighthouse Resort & Marina, Pottsboro, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013
Overall Rating:

Wi-Fi ($5 a day!) and 50 amp cost extra (although on the phone they said there was no extra charge for 50 amp). Quiet, pleasant surroundings, easy to maneuver and park. We paid nothing because of our R.O.D. membership, and that was too much. The poor rating is because of the laundry. In 17 months full-timing we have stayed in at least 70 parks in 32 states, and this is the most disgusting laundry room ever. One of the dryer vents isn't even hooked up, and is blasting the walls with lint. The corners are filled with spider webs. The folding table was filthy. The washer ruined our sheets and pillowcases. The response by management was "Yes, that happens sometimes. The lines need to be flushed." Can the stain be gotten out by washing again? "Nobody knows." The office didn't have enough quarters for another load anyway. Don't go to the restaurant on a Thursday, they don't serve bread on Thursday, even though the menu says it is included, because "Thursdays are slow". We would not stay here again if they paid us. Can't afford new sheets every time. We camped at Lighthouse Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.
