Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

After being on the east coast for over a year (where you can reach out and touch your neighbor), it is so nice to be in an rv park that has some room! Long, wide pull thru site with concrete so a big rig won't damage the asphalt. This park is brand new and it shows! Just off I-40 (route 66) but far enough away so there is no highway noise. Right next to a Route 66 Casino. Park has an outdoor pool and you can use the casino's indoopool too. The Casino has 5 restaurants so you really don't need to drive to Albuquerque for dinner. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Big rig friendly. Full hook ups. Lots of room to walk the dogs. You can walk if you're mobile to the casino or take their shuttle. Some sites are not level. Muddy if it rains. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina, Cropwell, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here several times on NASCAR weekends. They always put us in site #1 which has no trees and across from the boat launch area. We like this park because it's clean & easy to get to Talladega via the backroads. The park is right on the lake with great views. The staff are really nice and helpful. WiFi was good. Satellite had no issues. 1/2 of the park has monthly sites, the other half are nightly sites. It's kind of funny how they decorate their rigs with Bama & Auburn swag! We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Bristol / Kingsport KOA, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We called and asked for a big rig pull thru site. We were escorted to our site. The roads are narrow with pot holes. The trees overhang, scraping our coach. The sites are located in a gully, so watch for rain. When asked about trimming the trees so we could get out, we were told they will be trimmed at the end of the season. Typical KOA answer! Our site turned out to be nice. We could get satellite. We camped at Bristol / Kingsport KOA in a Motorhome.

Small Country Campground, Louisa, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way to Monticello. It looks like an old KOA campground. We have a 45' MH and are towing a Dodge 3500 truck. The roads getting to the campground are very narrow with no shoulder. It is a long drive from I-95.When we made our reservation, we asked for a pull-thru in the open. We were told we would have a pull-thru site that would fit our MH and truck. What we received was a back-to-back site. Upon check-in, we were given a map with directions to our site. There was no way we were going to get into our site because of parked cars all around our site. A man stopped us and told us to turn around and back in the other way. Another man stopped us and told us about a road that would get us to the back of our site so we could pull-thru. Luckily, the site behind us was empty or we would of never gotten into our site. They really need escorts AND better communication in the office. The park looks like an extended stay park and is not very appealing for the amount charged for the site. We camped at Small Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Cedarlane RV Park, Port Clinton, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is mostly for seasonal sites. They have W/S sites up front. Full hookups are in the back. For being a seasonal place, they made sure it was kept clean. Gated park. We camped at Cedarlane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We biked to the ferry to Put-in-Bay. Biking on the island was easy. Cleats had good fish tacos. Happy hour is everyday at 11am.

Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

We were originally put in spot 234 by the pond. It was pretty muddy from the massive rain storm the day before. We asked to be moved in the open area towards the front and were given site 88. The site was open, great for satellite, able to accommodate our 45' mh and large truck with no problems. Clean park for being mostly seasonal sites. Big pools. Laundry, store, restaurant on site. We camped at Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We stopped by Lakeside Lodge and had some of their wine they produce. It was good along with the awesome view of Lake Erie.
